In a world full of economic instability, political rhetoric, and natural disasters, to whom can we look for answers? This year's Southwest Youth Conference encourages us to be "Looking Unto Jesus" for the solution to this world's problems. May God speak to you through sermons from Randy Skeete, Jay Gallimore, Peter Gregory, and Dennis Priebe.

Back in June of this year, Audioverse posted a sermon entitled, "The Approaching Storm," by David Gates. It was then removed by our team several weeks later. Since that time, we have received many inquiries from website visitors who saw it here and have been anxious to get a copy of it, and who are wondering why it was removed. We sincerely apologize that it has taken so long for us to respond to those inquiries.

There's big news for VideoVerse! All along, we have regarded VideoVerse as a part of AudioVerse, but having two websites proved to be confusing for people. Also, it was more work than we felt was necessary. Therefore, all of our videos have now been moved right here, to www.audioverse.org. It's the same great sermon material, but in a more visible and lower-overhead location! Enjoy.

Recently, we made an update to our website which makes use of more advanced embedding of metadata tags into our MP3 recordings, and which also makes the website generate some of our MP3s for us automatically. Around that time, we began to receive a steady stream of problem reports from people who use the Safari web browser on a Macintosh computer. Safari seems to be erroneously interpreting the new MP3s as HTML pages, and consequently when viewed, the "pages" are filled with nonsense characters.
We do not yet have a solution. We don't know for sure if the new tagging system is the problem, or if it's how the MP3s are generated. Thank you for your patience on this matter. We are trying to find a solution. In the mean time, we recommend using the Firefox web browser to download our recordings.

We are thrilled to report that AudioVerse has now seen over a half-million downloads in its lifetime!!! As near as we can tell, some time late last Saturday, June 6, 2008, we surpassed the 500,000 mark. Praise God!
Note that our download counts are very conservative. It is likely that this number was surpassed many days, weeks, or even months ago. But any way you count it, the Lord has blessed this website far and above what we ever expected. It is a testimony to the great need there is for quality, Bible-based, Seventh-day Adventist perspectives in the world today, in the form of free audio recordings.
How long will it take until we reach One Million? May the Lord bless and keep this website as we seek to glorify Him by following Jesus' words: "Freely ye have received, freely give."
Maranatha,
The AudioVerse Team

Just to let you know -- We're thrilled to begin releasing some Ellen G. White audio books! Through a gracious arrangement with Mrs. Frances Martin, we are digitizing a collection of cassette tapes of Mrs. White's books that were produced by her late husband Ralph Martin several years ago.
We've released The Sanctified Life so far, and over half of Testimonies, Volume 3. More to come! Please stay tuned.

Whenever we upgrade the website, it seems like we spend a week discovering and fixing glitches. Unfortunately, this time we discovered that the system was not providing us with the names and email addresses of people sending messages through our Contact Us page. Fortunately, it is fixed now.
Unfortunately, though, if you sent us a message using our Contact Us page between Wednesday afternoon of May 21st and Friday morning May 23rd (US Pacific time), we do not have a way to get our replies to you. Please use our contact us page again and indicate which message you sent. Here are the Subject lines of the messages this applies to:
- Sermons on MP3

- re: letter to E Knoll
We sincerely apologize for this problem. Yours for a better AudioVerse,
Curtis

If you've been following the situation with Ernie Knoll and his claim of having dreams from God, we would like to draw your attention to yet another refutal that has come our way. This one is from Linda Kirk, a former supporter and strong advocate of Ernie's dreams who has now reversed her position and has written an Open Letter urging Ernie to abandon his claims and renounce the errors that have led him to his current position.
We would like to especially thank Linda and to praise God that, first, she was able to see the deception and come out of it, and second, that she has written this letter so graciously and given us permission to post it. Though we may err, God surely leads those who earnestly seek him!
Here's the link to our refutal page, containing Linda's letter and the other documents we've posted: Dreams of Ernie Knoll (Scroll down to the bottom for the latest updates.)

You may have noticed the new login feature on our website. It's there for a very good reason: so you can leave comments about our recordings! Now there's a way to publicly discuss the messages we present, and to help clarify the points that were made. The Comment system is a Beta, so we are likely to expand and tweak this system in the future. And, if it just doesn't seem to work, we might even remove it. But for now, we invite you to sign up and join the experiment!
As for the login system in general, we expect to add other features that make use of this in the future. How about the ability to subscribe to various speakers and sponsors? When we add a new recording under one of them, you would then receive an email notification about it. We're sure there are other ideas too. If you think of one, please let us know.
