Even More Questions Angels Ask- Part 2

The core of our messages are being rooted.

The foundation is found in Matthew chapter 13, the parable of the wheat and the tares.

Give a brief review, and then we'll dive in to study for today.

How many of you just out of curiosity have been here for each of the messages I've presented so far?

How many of you this is the first message of this series you were attending?

All right you're gonna have to just catch up.

I'm sorry, we're gonna do a little bit of review here, but if some things are like, where did that come from?

Don't worry about it, someone else can inform you because they've been listening very attentively.

They have every note taken down, and they can give this Bible study to you with their eyes closed, amen?

Matthew chapter 13, starting with verse 24, another parable he put forth to them, saying, the kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field, but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.

But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.

So the servants of the owner came and said to him, Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field?

Now quickly tell me, the servants of the owner, who are these in real life?

The owner is Jesus Christ, yes, and it was his field that he sowed the good seed.

The good seeds are the sons of the wicked, the tares are the sons of the, I'm sorry, the good seeds are the tares of the sons of the righteous, the tares are the sons of the wicked, and their reaction, first of all, was to question God.

You're a good God, but we see bad, and that was questions angels asked.

And Christ's answer was an enemy has done this.

And the clearest evidence that an enemy was not a proclamation but a demonstration of his own character and thus revealing the character of his enemy when he died on the cross.

Then the servants say to him, do you want us then to gather them up?

Let's end this thing now." Yet we know that Satan was not destroyed at the cross, yet Satan was not then destroyed.

The principles had to be more fully revealed.

And as we saw yesterday, the question that angels are now asking is not why should Satan die, but why should any of us live?

If we've all sinned and come short of the glory of God, how is it in his wisdom to bring us back there?

This is stage 3 of the 4 steps of the casting out of the devil.

And today what I want to do is look at that personal application of the great controversy.

And I praise the Lord how the messages so far from each of the different presenters has been harmonizing beautifully.

I promise you there was no collusion beforehand.

There's a message for you today, my young friends.

I promise you there are some in this room who need to make a commitment for Jesus Christ.

Some of you have had a transaction mentality, but we need a transformation mentality.

Some of you have been settling for, I'm just going to get my ticket and get into heaven instead of letting the Lord do a work and fit us for His kingdom.

That's the burden of our message today, God's promise to do His will in us.

But before we begin, let's start with a word of prayer.

Heavenly Father, I thank you and I thank you for another day of life at all.

I thank you for the privilege of fellowship and worship together.

I thank you for all the people that are here, young and old.

And now Lord, as we turn our attention to a study of your word, we would ask that you would teach us all things as you have promised through the power of your Holy Spirit.

So Lord, let your message be heard today, and not just heard.

Don't just hit our ears, Lord, touch our hearts, so that we become the transformed agents you ask us to be.

From Matthew, we go over to another gospel record, the gospel of John.

And I want you to notice something that sits right there in the text, and perhaps you've never seen before.

Very comforting passage, a very familiar passage.

Christ himself says to us, "'Let not your heart be troubled.

"'You believe in God, believe also in whom?

"'Me, because of course God came to show us the Father.

"'If you've seen me, you've seen the Father.

"'If You believe in God, believe also in whom?

Because of course God came to show us the Father.

If you've seen me, you've seen the Father.

If you believe in God, believe also in me.

If it were not so, I would have told you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

And we noted yesterday how from our perspective, this seems like good news.

But from the angel's perspective, slow down.

Now I want to bring your attention to something that's right there in the text.

Did you notice, well let me ask you this question.

When he left this earth, he went to heaven to do what?

Now I have had people answer, well, he's going to build us mansions.

Verse 2, in my Father's house will be many, is that what it says?

When Christ was standing on this earth where there are already vacancies in heaven.

Now he's going to go prepare a way so we can fill those, yes, but the vacant sign is already illuminated on some of those mansions in heaven there are currently vacancies in heaven seventh day of his bible commentary volume 1 page 10 82 God created man for his own glory, that after test and trial, by the way, just because we're tested doesn't mean we were supposed to fail, yes?
