How to Know God’s Will for Your Life

You know, for a few years I worked for a Korean man.

And I have to be honest that I think Korean food is like 1 of the best foods in the world.

And whenever you invite me home to eat, that was like heaven for me.

We're going to talk about how to know God's will for your life.

How to know God's will 06.5 for your life.

Like let's say you want to know this summer, should I go to camp or should I go to Korea?

You think that God would actually tell you specifically what He wants you to do?

Or what if you say, well, tonight I'd like to eat kimchi or mandu?

Do you think He would guide that specific?

If you have your Bibles, turn with me to Psalm 32.

We're going to look at just a few verses talking about how to know God's will for your life.

God is speaking to people and He says, Look, be ye not as the horse or as the mule, which have no understanding, whose mouth must be held in with bit, and...

He says, When I'm guiding you, I don't want to guide you like a horse or like a mute.

How many here have ever ridden a horse before?

What do you notice they put in the mouth?

Do they have anything in their mouth beside their teeth when you drive them?

So, when you're about to ride a horse or a mule, they put like a little piece of metal and it's attached to leather or something like that, and it's attached to like the thing there.

And when you want the horse to turn right, you pull on that, And the piece of metal goes like...

Do you think that's what the horse is thinking?

What does the horse experience when you go like that?

And so, God is saying here in Psalms, He says, I don't want to guide you like this.

I don't want to guide you like a horse with a bit and a bridle, so that whenever I need to speak to you, I need to have something bad happen in your life.

Your mom needs to have cancer, your grandpa needs to die, or you need to get sick, or you need to get into an accident.

And that's the only time I can speak to you or I can guide you." He says, I don't want to guide you like that.

He says, He says, I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go, I will guide thee with my what?

That's the way that God wants to guide us.

Now, Brandon, what you're going to do, you're going to close your eyes and promise me you won't open them until I tell you to, but I'm not going to hurt you, okay?

And Han, what you're going to do, I want you to take Brendan and I want you to lead him...

You see where the wonderful lady is with the red dress?

I want you to lead Brandon with his eyes closed around right there and come right back.

And you have to close your eyes, all right?

Hans, Hans, you have to wait until he guides you because you're going to hit a chair.
