But before we begin, let's bow our heads for a word of prayer.

Heavenly Father, we thank you so much for the opportunity to study your Word, to study prophecy.

We know that You told us in the book of Psalms that You've told us the future.

You've revealed the future to us, and we can know through this that You are the true God through prophecy.

I pray that Your Holy Spirit would be in this place.

I pray that our hearts will be opened to You and Your Spirit alone.

We're going to look this evening at the Antichrist power.

But now we delve into our study on the Antichrist power and who changed God's law.

And in Psalms 4.7-8, the Bible says in a prophecy of Jesus that we already looked at, then said I, lo, I come, in the volume of the book it is written of who?

Who was the volume of the book written about?

He said, I delight to do your will, oh my God, yea, your law is within my what?

Now notice when the Bible tells us in this prophecy, you say, Chad, How do we know that's about Jesus?

Well, when you read in Hebrews chapter 8, it quotes this and tells us it was a prophecy of Jesus.

And this text tells us that Jesus delighted to do God's will because something was in his heart.

So now listen, if God put his law in your heart, what would you begin to do?

You see, naturally, we don't like to do God's will.

But when we are changed and the Holy Spirit puts his law in our hearts, we actually begin to enjoy the things of God.

We read in Hebrews 10, 15, and 16, the Holy Spirit also testifies to us for after saying, this is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord, I will put my laws on their what?

Or I will put my laws into their heart and I will also write them on their mind.

So listen, the new covenant, when we give our lives to Jesus, he fills us with his Holy Spirit and then he writes his law in our minds and in our hearts.

And as he does that, many Christians think, oh, the new covenant means God writes the law in your heart so you can now break his law.

Jesus put the law in your heart so you can commit adultery.

If Jesus had the law in His heart, and it enabled Him to keep the law, that's Exactly what will happen in the new covenant experience when we give our lives to Jesus and we ask for the Holy Spirit day by day, we're dying to self, God fills us with his spirit and we can, by the power of Jesus, begin to delight to do God's will Because God's law will be in our hearts.

That is the new covenant That's the new covenant experience and we're looking at the Antichrist power who would think to change God's law Why would the Antichrist want to change God's law?

Because if the law is part of the new covenant experience and the Antichrist could change God's law even in 1 particular what would he be keeping us from experiencing he would keep us from experiencing the the new covenant you follow this is what we see this is very important Now let's look in the Greek language of the New Testament.

What does the word anti mean in the word antichrist?

It says anti means instead of or because of, in the room of, often used in composition to denote contrast, requital, notice this next word, substitution, correspondence, etc.

This tells us that the Antichrist is a substitute Christ.

Someone who comes taking the place, not someone who comes contrary, seemingly outwardly fighting Christ, but rather someone who comes in looking like Christ.

So this power that will arise will look very Christian, very Christ-like, but will lead people away from God's law.

Now, I've had the opportunity, if you're ever in Chicago, it's Totally worth a trip while you're in Chicago.

It's a free museum called the, what do we call it?

The Oriental Museum in Chicago is a free museum to go to of archeology and they have some of the original lions that lined the processional way in Babylon.

So you can go see lions that Daniel walked by maybe day by day.

Why would you not go if you're in Chicago, right?

You can stand in front of them and realize Daniel walked in front of this very thing that you're looking at.

And these lions were representations of the nation of Babylon, like the United States, what is represented by what?

We don't have time to go into all the details.

We go into this in our longer term seminars, but we're just going to review.

But This is this first beast that we see in this nation of Babylon.

God had this prophecy of a statue with a head of gold, chest and arms of silver, belly and thighs of brass, legs of iron, and the feet part of iron and part of clay, representing these 4 nations.

God foretold the future of Earth over 2, 500 years ago, or roughly 2, 500 years ago.

And so Babylon was represented by the head of gold, the lion being the, with eagle's wings representing Babylon.

We see the chest and arms of silver representing Meda Persia and a bear that was raised up on 1 side with 3 ribs in its mouth.

We see the the belly and thighs of brass representing the Grecian Empire and Alexander's brass clad soldiers and then we have this four-headed leopard with 4 wings of a fowl or 4 wings of a bird, and then we have the long legs of iron representing the iron monarchy of Rome, and a dreadful beast, terrible, nondescript, but yet it had how many horns?

10 horns and on 11th horn a little horn rises up who ends up being who?

The Antichrist, That's right, the Antichrist.

Now if we had more time, we could go on to this for long periods of time.

What we are teaching here is just the culmination of the Protestant and early Christian teachings from the beginning.

This right here is a quotation from Hippolytus on his treatise on Christ and Antichrist.

So we're talking 1800 years ago this quote is.

It says, The golden head of the image in the lioness denoted the Babylonians.
