At the end of the presentation, the learner will be able to:
Identify the role that hope and purpose have on patient recovery and healing (especially with chronic illness and pain).Identify negative beliefs and illness narratives that influence a patient’s health decisions and behaviors.Implement motivational interviewing principles to reframe negative patient beliefs and narratives toward hopefulness.Discuss how to create opportunities for the Holy Spirit to reach our hopeless patients to give them eternal hope.
