Who is the Lord?

And afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, thus saith the Lord God of Israel, let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

That I should obey his voice to let Israel go.

I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go.

Pharaoh then was the most powerful ruler in the world of the Bible.

And so it made no sense to him that someone could give him orders.

And Moses said, someone sent me to give you an order.

So, Pharaoh wanted to know who is this god giving me orders?

I don't know god and because I don't know god, I will not listen to his word.

By the way, a lot of us behave the way we behave because we do not know God.

We live our lives the way we do because we do not know God.

We spend our money the way we do because we do not really know God.

We walk around with guilt because we do not know a forgiving God.

We live as though we're orphans because we do not know a loving father.

We shall look at another ruler who then was the greatest ruler on the face of the earth or in the world of the Bible.

In chapter 3, the story of the burning fiery furnace and the 3 young men who refused to dishonor God.

And God needs young men today who prefer to die than dishonor him.

Nebuchadnezzar is giving a second chance to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego or Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, a second chance to bow.

Verse 15, the king is speaking, now if he be ready that at what time you hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sacrament, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, he fall down and worship the image which I have made well.

But if you worship not, you shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

Now finish that verse if you have the King James Version.

And who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hand?

Nebuchadnezzar understood he was the most powerful king back then And he is confronted by 3 young men who respected their God more than they respected him.

And Nebuchadnezzar asked them, who is that God that can save you from me?

Nebuchadnezzar did not know God and so he asked, who is that God?

The book of Acts chapter 9, who wrote the book of Acts?

So when you read Acts and you read we went this and we went that, those were the times when Luke was actually with Paul.

And I ask God to continue to put his words in my mouth in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord went unto the high priest and desired him letters to Damascus to the synagogues that if he found any of this way meaning the Christian way whether they were men or women he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

Paul's work was to capture believers and take them to be killed.

Verse 3, and as he journeyed he came near Damascus and suddenly they shined round about him a light from heaven, and he fell to the earth and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

In attempt to answer those questions partially, I want to show you who God is only partially.

No created being can fully understand God, far less explain God.

But I'll give you what this divine word says about God.

Let's learn a little about God as we continue with the subject Who is the Lord?

Do You have Daniel, an outstanding young man.

He served and honored God all the days of his life.

No matter what the trial was, Daniel stood for God, never wavered, never backed down.

Daniel 4, reading verse 35, now this is Nebuchadnezzar speaking, and all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth and none can stay his hand or saying to him finish the verse what doeth thou know let me explain that verse Nebuchadnezzar had been struck by God like an animal.

7 years he lived as an animal because of pride.

He said, it's not this great Babylon that I have built and God struck him down.

I don't care how many PhDs you have, be humble.

He may still save you but you limp for the rest of your life.

And so Nebuchadnezzar after 7 years he realizes who he is and who God is And so he lifts up his eyes to heaven and he gives this testimony and all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing compared to God.

And he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven.

God does whatever he wants in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth.

Now so we have heaven and we have come on we have and we have and God does whatever he wants in heaven or on earth.

We're answering the question, who's the Lord?

This God is so powerful, He does whatever He wants.
