Reed Shaken With The Wind

Those of you who may not know, that was my twin brother that was speaking in First Sabbath School this morning.

And it was my twin brother who spoke last night.

And so God has saw fit that it's now my turn.

And I'm the elder of the 2 twins, of us 2.

And so, but I always call him my little brother.

And 1 thing I'm very thankful to God about, I was just reading the scripture in the back.

And David says, I will remember, I will remember what God has done for me.

And it never ceases to amaze me how far the Lord has brought me, straight from the gutter.

And now I'm standing here preaching to you.

Paul wrote in the scripture about being the chief of sinners, but he didn't meet me.

But I'm thankful for God's grace, And that through his grace you can be an overcomer.

Before we go any further, we're going to have a word of prayer.

But before we pray, if you have your Bibles, turn with me to Matthew chapter 11.

And when you have it, please let me know by saying amen.

The Bible reads, and as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see?

Behold, they that wear soft clothing are in king's houses.

Yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet, for this is he of whom it is written, behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

Verily I say unto you, among them that are born of women, there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist.

Not withstanding, he that is leased in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force for all the prophets and the law prophesied until John and if ye will receive it This is Elias, which was for to come.

Let's bow our heads for a word of prayer.

I'm thankful that the kingdom of God is not just in word, but it's in power.

We're all human beings in here in desperate need of your grace and mercy.

And so Father, right now I come to the throne of grace and I ask for forgiveness for our sins, Lord.

I ask for your blood to cover your people, including me, right now, Lord.

I pray for your spirit to be in this place, Lord, to banish all evil away from this place, away from our minds.

And may your spirit, Lord, focus our minds and our hearts on eternal matters this Sabbath, on the truth.

Let the veil be torn back, Lord, and let us see what you would have us to see Lord only by thy spirit Lord this can be done and so Lord we thank you for gracing us with your spirit thank you for being faithful God I thank you for the message that you have for your people this Sabbath morning and for myself in Jesus' name, Amen.

This was a point in time in history, in earth's history, unlike any other point in time.

You can get the history books and study and research all you want, but this particular point in history was unlike any other time in Earth's history.

The host of the high ones, the terrible ones, or the lords of darkness had come down to this planet and had claimed it as its own.

The once proud and noble, majestic race was now decrepit and crippled and deformed, a shadow of its former self.

Now humanity was subject to pain and anguish and depression and sadness and death.

These lords of darkness were merciless and they are.

I have a newborn, he's about 2 months old.

It doesn't matter if he's a two-month-old baby.

They take joy in his destruction, in his death, in his misery.

This was a point in history unlike any other.

These demonic forces had inhabited the bodies of human beings and manifested their power unlike any other time in Earth's history.

They possessed the souls of men, and it was a visible, physical, supernatural manifestation of their power.

They boldly held their fists up to heaven and declared this planet as their own.

The Bible says in Isaiah that Satan opened not the house of the prison.

Every single nation, every single culture, Every single country had fallen into darkness, had fallen into idolatry.

Every single place on this planet, except for 1 place.

There was 1 place left standing, right there in the center of the world, it was a shallow beacon of light surrounded by a sea of darkness.

I like to call it the Alamo, the last fortress, if you will.

And that last fortress was the land of Palestine, because the land of Palestine was the only place on the whole planet that still had the law of God.

And soon this fortress was about to fall.

Darkness had crept into the walls and now darkness had got into the synagogues, had influenced the Pharisees and the Sadducees and pagan Rome was there, and it was only a matter of time before this fortress would fall.

You could talk to any general, any tactician, or anybody for that matter.

To have 99% of the earth in darkness and this last fortress with darkness within, the enemy without and within.

Impossible odds for this fortress to make it out.

Only a matter of time before that light is snuffed out.

But yet at this point in history, at Earth's darkest hour, at Earth's darkest hour, is when heaven decided to roll out its counteroffensive.

You see, when it is at earth's or your darkest hour, it is heaven's finest hour.

And heaven decides to use 2 women who could not have babies, 1 was a virgin, 1 was barren, passed her time, 2 women to combat this supernatural force of fallen angels that had claimed dominion.

Within these 2 women, heaven deployed its 2 operatives.

Right there in that last fortress, its 2 operatives right there in the hottest zone of the war.

The last bastion of defense, its last, the 2 operatives were deployed right there through those 2 women.

He mentioned World War II and I'm gonna use an example from there as well.

June 6, 1944, the Allies stormed the beaches of Normandy in France.

And the American forces decided to raid 2 sections of the beach, which they codenamed Omaha and Utah.

Now Omaha and Utah experienced the worst fighting on D-Day.

And the American forces were pushing through on the beach of Omaha, but they ran into a situation.

Nothing that day went according to their plans.

Equipment was failing, tanks were sinking, the bombs missed their target, and now the soldiers were stuck because there were obstacles blocking their path.

Behind the barbed wire were German fortifications and German bunkers, and the men were getting mowed down.

Right there in the front lines were the combat engineers.

And the combat engineers came up with this idea.

They had these metal tubes called Bangalores, and within these tubes they had dynamite explosives.

And they will shove the tubes underneath the sand, underneath the barbed wire, detonate the explosives, and blow up the obstacle and clear a path for the main force to go through.

It is the combat engineer's job that by any means necessary, the main force must, not probably, must, not maybe, must go through.

If they come to a pass and there needs to be a bridge constructed, they will construct the bridge.

If they come to a way in this block, they have to blow it out the way.

If they come to a field and it has mines, they have to remove the mines.

And so John the Baptist, the combat engineer, was deployed in Judea.

Behold, I send my messenger before thy face to prepare thy way before thee.

And John the Baptist's job was to prepare the way to make sure that the main force, by any means necessary, must come through.

You see, John and Jesus had the same uniform on, but they were from different battalions.
