see here for around and say we're continuing in Romans chapter six and I personally have been very dedicated by the verses that we can study this isn't just an academic exercise that were going through here what we are dealing the leaders that is the horrors that of the job that we are setting have the power to change your life and when the Bible says here in round six that we really candy dad the sun sets what it means it's not a fantasy it's actually a true saying God before going any further though Molly Bauer has for warfarin say father in heaven we thank you we can study them in a room this evening as we study Romans chapter six things in as we study the concept of the servants of God the only help us to be your servants and in the dead this is my prayer in Jesus and okay so last week we covered the first sixteen verses of chapter six and in these fifteen versus the film that comes forth from these verses are that if we are dead his son we do not continuance when we are justified we are Dennis therefore if we are justified we don't continuance and just as Christ was raised from the dead and death has no dominion over him when we see are just a son and are raised to walk in newness of life sin has no more dominion over us and we don't keep sending justice crime him tolerate dying you guys want some upset you were dead to sin what Paul is saying is you don't need to keep some for several years and we have an advocate with the father that when you are dead this there is no excuse at that point for continuing in some matters a few points in mind and thinking all week about the verse is at least studied Hannahs a few concepts that I thought about a little bit further because what I want to focus in ten days it is versus sixteen to twenty three verses sixteen to twenty three speech of being either service to God or service the sun so you're either going to be one or the other there is no in between reader servant of God or your server and the first sixteen verses have developed that thought out and soon I was thinking about some of the concerts here in the first sixteen verses and how that connects being a servant of God and so meeting one of the first things that we see is in Romans chapter six verse four we've we've been through these verses last week we see there in verse four is three and four there were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death were buried with him by baptism into death and it's interesting when you have full at his chapter shoot Paul tells us in talking through that Jesus was the medium unto death even the death of the cross and check upon him the form of a servant finally turned the Philippines to the fence shutters she served we are to be servants of God in the last six seven favors is a Romans chapter six we soon thought and shuttered she then Jesus also was a serve Philippines she sentences me he made himself of no reputation took upon him the form of the sermon and was made in the likeness of and being found in fashion as a man he humbled himself and became obedient unto death even the death of the cross 's analysis Jesus became a served by Dawn on the cross and in Romans six we are buried with him by baptism into death and by the end of the chapter Paul says we are servants to God just as Jesus took upon him the form of a servant so again God is not asking us to do anything that Jesus didn't knew when he was here as a human being here on this Earth he was a servant and we are to be servants to God how is Jesus the servant he was obedient unto death even the death of the cross now this concept develops even sure there in her sinuses for if we've been planted together in the likeness of his death we shall be also in the whiteness of his resurrection now when you plan something what do you plan exactly a class C so we are slanted in the likeness of his death which means that Jesus was also planted you see the we are planted in the likeness of his death so was Jesus now just their place in Scripture that describes Jesus as a seed and then planted John Paul verse twenty starting in verse twenty three Johnson control verse twenty three and Jesus answered them saying the hours the Son of Man should be glorified with Jesus thinking about their lessons on the cross and even prevent my going to John seventeen Moore's thesis father the hour is come glorify thy son the person may also glorify the cheered John twelve twenty three hours the son of man should be glorified and Jesus says how he will be glorified in verse twenty four verily verily I say and do you accept the corner leaves on the ground diet and by the salon but it's inside it bring forth much fruit so how was Jesus glorified he was glorified by dying in the illustration that he uses she uses a corner we falling into the ground and die and the war that you can use to describe this was this corn of wheat was planted in order for this corner we can be planted and had to die since Jesus was planted a gun at around six we are planted in the likeness of his death how is Jesus planted as a corn of wheat fell on the ground and die now what was the result that one of the league fallen in and around in verse twenty four eleven John focus is sorry it bring forth much fruit so their form if we use the Lancet in the ground it's now sad because it died it can now bring forth fruit by growing up out of the ground between the plants bearing many seeds of corn on the cornhusk and features a question when you plant that seed into the ground and now it's dead then the illustration is resurrected because Jesus was resurrected when it comes up out of the ground now it says it brings forth much fruit what do you have on a much sure how stuff for us whatever it's called in the near side and the ear of corn will modify you can tell someone you have on the maturity or if one you have trials of form what are they similar to air into the sea that was planted that they believe they are identical to the seed that died and was planted now here's here's interesting point Jesus died as a corner we but because he does there is the promise of much fruit being brought forth what is that fruit going to be a wife will be identical to Jesus and in Romans chapter sex we are told that we are slammed to in the likeness of his death that like as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the father even so we also should walk in newness of life so we went in verse four says that we watch in newness of life choose life are we walking after Doctor Jesus Christ that means you and it's really hard I think I rushed to put these rooms is less wheezing sounds slowing down and really just milking out more substance here so the newness of life means that why is just like the life of Christ because we've been slanted together in the likeness of his death so that Jesus Johnson control disburses twenty three twenty four is the corn of wheat that dies he's planted in the ground comes forth and brings forth much fruit each of those kernels of corn are just like the seed that was planted Jesus died those should become dead to sin and are raised to walk in newness of life are just like Jesus here's the other interesting point and because Jesus is the seed died and was planted in the ground and then much fruit is brought forth the fruit that has brought forth is identical to Jesus we are planted in the likeness of his death and we are the fruit of the seed now is the fruit of the seed again we talk about this is identical or the slightly different it's identical which suggests that the biblical evidence to show that when Jesus was here as a human being he had the same fallen nature that we because we can be just like he was a corn of wheat planted in the ground he died within much fruit is brought forth and to see is the seed that we come out that he was different enough we couldn't as is seen but because we come from the sea the origin who is Christ that would make it that he would be just like us and we've been setting on the Chivers class she refuses that he was we all like his brother and her brother Lazarus sanctified those are sanctified clearly have a fallen nature so that Jesus uses formula fallen nature sanctified as we are seen as a is is is is a skin and you will is exactly we become particularly none of the divine judge hearing in so those points that I just talked about Jesus and plug-ins she was made a survey to see how he met a sermon by being obedient to death and the point of us being planted together in the likeness of his death have a price cut of corn wheat falling to the ground and then he brings forth much fruit the fruit that he brings forth are those who are planted together in the likeness of his death in June are raised up to walk in newness of life and that newness of life is watching the life of Christ because we been planted in the likeness of his death and we are in the likeness of his resurrection six feet letters five million euros on the body of sin has destroyed her old man is crucified with Christ and verse seven says she that is dead is freed from sin and the marginal reading the King James for free from sin is justified socially that his dad is justified which therefore means in order to be justified the old man must be crucified pretty straightforward and when the old man was crucified that means that you're walking in newness of life which means you're living the life of Christ so in order to be justified that means you're living the life of Christ which then going back to Romans three that's why Hall says John Shas and the justifier of him which believe that Jesus because you really are justified you're living the life of Christ so God choose cannot why cannot say this person is unjustified if they're not done this because I would make him a wire and God does why it is impossible for God to lie so we started on this summarizing some of the things ridiculous to VeriSign nine the pricing rates from the dead dies no more death hath no more dominion over him for amazing guy he died in this and wants them that he would deliver something job likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed in December the one hundred through Jesus Christ our Lord and numbers fourteen percent shall not have dominion over you for your not under the law but under grace so just as has no more dominion over Christ died once and not say he doesn't come back to account received on sin has no more dominion over us when we are dead to sin when we are justified by faith and what Paula sang here is that when you're dead to send you downs because it doesn't have dominion over you so and Paul of course as I die daily so that death of the old man is a daily process which is why sanctification is the work of a lifetime we can talk about that that would be a long discussion that were actually given that around seven months so save hold that thought content is certain since my heavy machinery for you not under the law but under grace what then shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace of God from the so again maybe Chapter six pulses which we say this we continue in sin that grace may abound from the house and we veterans are disseminating longer therein verse fifteen what then shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace from the and the numbered race is clearly defined in Romans five twenty one this is the sum of three hundred hundred deaths even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord so when courageous friends it's the righteousness of Christ ran out why such as a justification much salt and brief summary of what we did last time and set the stage for talking about what it means to be a servant of God verse sixteen says no you not that addition yield yourselves servants to obey to his servants ye are to whom you obey whether of sin and death or of obedience and righteousness so now here's what Paul makes clear there any a servant to someone and yes sir to send or near the servant to God and you can see uses the term servants to God in verse twenty key service in our lives we touch voice teetering -year-old to send fourteen -year-old to righteousness field and try and that sure is that we may insurance concerns we are an obviously Jesus is the is you is easy of his birth and life therefore servants of Christ Visio is easy his burden light Satan makes as you will contract Ashley very awful he opened bondage as a yoke of sin which brings forth death verse seventeen Re: thanks that ye were the servants of sin that ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you to the marginal reading for which was delivered you should read where to me were delivered so the document you weren't sure you were delivered verse eighteen being then made free from sin he became the servants of righteousness now I can have received the concept of being made free from sin in bronze chapter six verse seven or services received medicines is freed from sin and then again the marginal reading for free from sin is justified so she that is that is justified verse eighteen being then made free from sin you became the servants of righteousness or it could read being then justified he became the servants of righteousness and the policymaking here is then made free from sin or unjustified involves the old man being herself I've been put to death when the old man of sin is death then we are made free from sin we are justified and we become the servants of God is not important in order to be servants of righteousness or servants of God we must be jettisoned we must have been crucified with Christ if were not true suffice with Christ if were not completely surrendered him justified and we are servants of God are actually services and Roman settlement to talk about people who have any knowledge of God and yet she needed to let the carnal man rule the lives of citizens being then made free from sin he became the servants of righteousness or being justified he became the servants of righteousness or being dead this weekend servants of righteousness so you know what a servant of righteousness of the need to listen to that point is a witch chapter is as is a you a you is or is there a hole is sending shivers for fifteen and sixteen seasons do not qualify as we are human outside was therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need now is a and free from some that so and me when it says to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time the Romans five twenty one against those of the grace of God is the righteousness of Christ reigning in our lives so the first night she pauses I speak after the manner of because of the infirmity of your flesh for a as he yielded near her servants to clean this and chewing and twenty nine two in equity even so now yield your numbers servants to righteousness and holiness so this is interesting is that when you were the fourth reader fallen nature run your life you yielded your members as servants to send to iniquity to uncleanness but now yield your members servants to righteousness and holiness so instead of yielding a seventy -year-old the holy the only way we yield a holiness is by being dead to sin if you're still alive to some of the old man is still alive every common equity passes by I want to yield to it that if your surrender to God as a old man was that instead of yielding to that inequity you yield the righteousness verse twenty four when you were the servants of sin you are free from righteousness what fruit had even then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed for the end of those things is death so near the server must send your free from righteousness and the fruit of being a servant of sin is death and come back to verse twenty she is now being made for you from sin and become servants to God ye have your fruit on the holiness and the end everlasting life now this is beautiful this is powerful remember and still the first three chapters were talking about the wrath of God in the judgment and for down upon those who have disobeyed God and if they don't know about God are they it runs once is that you or see because God is finally revealed himself through unspoken things to the creation of the world so those should reject God there to receive his wrath check if she knows you know about God but are breaking the law anyway the receipt 's wrath malice we get to chapter three all the world is guilty before God in the judgment to select while were just a really bad stay then the conflict of the righteousness of God comes being cleared in the judgment and we see how it's possible to be cleared in the judgment by having the old man being crucified or put to death so that we can be justified to have the righteousness of Christ when we have the righteousness of Christ when we are justified we are made free from sin we began service to God here in verse twenty two and the end is everlasting life so instead of facing each kernel to in the judgment of God is offering us everlasting life about how to deal with and I mean we should be thankful happy people all the time because of his housing on how you had assistant wrestling and not just shut down trials that if you really think about it if we have justification by faith we have everlasting life and that she couldn't respect to some of the trout that we had to hear Mister and again and once I was the trials that come our way are originally she was she refined her characters to perfect this exactly so now is getting a pretty number twenty two of the more that now being made free from sin and become servants to God ye have your fruit on the holiness and the end why first tracer being made free from sin I keep mentioning this point is so important to understand righteousness by faith where we seen being made free from sin in this chapter we saw in verse eighteen and we saw a nurse and her seven of course is that Chivers how what is the condition of being free from Sun beings verse six of Romans six the similar word is crucified the old man is crucified with Christ in order to be dead we must be crucified with Christ when we are dead we are freed from sin and again that marginal reading for free from sin is justified so when you're a jet when you're crucified with Christ you are justified in verse twenty two being made free from sin or being justified or being jettisoned and become servants to God ye have your fruit on the holiness and the end everlasting life now what we need in this world are sheep for your service to God one hundred percent there's shaming she falters thanks that they can be servants to God and stolen the old man the ally to talk about that man said that if we had more people who were servants to God we have more people who are free from sin we got more people who are dead this where we would have more people who are justified and we would have more people who wouldn't live together in the likeness of Christ and are now living Christ life here on this Earth and that's it this world needs this world doesn't need is a bunch of Christians who say they are Christians but they look like the world and there really serves the sun that's not what this world needs the authority planning and thus people out in the world and for us to say let's just go out there and become like them to get them to join us were playing right and to the Devils game hunting services and policy clearly teaching here in Romans six that the servants of sin God are going to be justified need free from sin and jettison their countries a fight with Christ they been planted together in the likeness of his death and the race to walk in newness of life wife as Christ here on this earth because sin has no more dominion over the servants of God so being made free from sin and become servants to God the younger fruit on the holiness what's the end everlasting life and then when the universe twenty three else understand this famously quoted passage from Romans six that is so often quoted Mohsen to the first twenty two verses are rarely talked about verse twenty three for the wages of sin is death now get your knitting son you're actually pay paying wages shoot energy of having wages for something and I will introduce the idea that you're the server to just see your either servants of God are either serve the son and the wages of sin is death now what kind of deal is that your enemy my servant the obtaining mommy and what I give you in return is that I mean what kind of a deal is Christ offering us everlasting life and Satan through Sun 's offering is death and yet most of the world thinks that is death is a better deal than everlasting life what's going on here 's evil don't realize to get in the first twenty three the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ alone and I'm convinced that it is suitable really need Jesus Christ we would have more service of God in our White House wishes him a thoughtful hour contemplating the closing scenes of Christ's life will think about what happens when you spend not thoughtful our getting to see Jesus and Tyler courtroom when you see that when he was reviled reviled reviled not again Mistress Peter to the suffers of threatened small business the judges righteously and there was no guile found in the pits Jesus just before he dies then we see Jesus crucified on the cross wheels in Gethsemane same father not my will but bonding to spend more time complaining those things and we saw that Jesus was obedient to death how each became a serve as a human being was obedient to death and we saw in Jesus his matchless charms people wouldn't be asking questions like there is a celebration or a surefire interest like the world and still climbing their Christian notebook what's the issue there are you really get the seminar you really a servant to God when your servant of God you give your life one hundred percent to the person that you're surfing is not seventy five percent your way gotten twenty five percent my wife it's one hundred first him for a service of the old way and some people say all us legal and not is done out of love for what God is in us when we serve God with one hundred percent certain she sang harmony give all of my life to Jesus Christ because of what he's done for me these questions is is this a salvation no issue is this a salvation which he isn't wrong to do this what's wrong with that law if words at the sun we wouldn't want to do those things anyway and I get tired of people saying what's the minimum I can do it in the health one more service to God it should be how much can I do for the Lord because I wasn't so much there's a huge difference and the last thing one is that the Romans six very clearly is teaching that in order to be justified we must do the same and we are dead to sin we do not continue in sin because sin has no more dominion over us and one is one that affects Jesus we are servants to God now it's interesting to me is that in Revelation seven the one hundred and forty four thousand are called the servants of God and Revelation seven talks about how the angel are holding back the four winds until the servants of God are sealed and therefore had an in Revelation fourteen hundred and forty four thousand are described as the first fruits to God and to the wife then he remember that confident not been planted together in the likeness of his death and John Jesus is the corn of wheat it fell on the ground and because he died he brings forth much fruit this roof firstfruits of hundred and forty four thousand hundred and forty four thousand are servants of God what is that mean about the hundred and forty four thousand that means they haven't planted together in the likeness of Christ death that means that these walks in newness of life the life of Christ that means that they are dead to sin that sin has no more dominion over them and you see the characteristics of a hundred and forty four thousand Revelation fourteen says that they are without fault before the throne of God and there is no dialogue interestingly first-tier to same characteristics as Jesus Christ so here is an interesting thought remember how the quote where there's a couple things couple different pathways among your first shootings along with it first of all is justification by faith lengths of the third Angels message and the concept of the servants of God with respect to hundred and forty four thousand linear together Romans chapter six clearly teaches the concept of justification by faith being that this Romans chapter six verses six and seven which you clearly misunderstood whenever Severson that when you're dead you are freed from sin which means to be justified in the verse before that means that were crucified with Christ and we sought to foster for some Galatians two sixteen twenty that were justified by the faith of Jesus Christ and who were crucified with Christ we live by the faith of Jesus Christ Christ lives in another second hand maiden was raised that the ministry that anything which is Christ in you the hope of glory which is justification by faith the second Advent movement in Revelation China syndrome faster the second Advent movement and revelations was raised up in the mystery of him through that is Christ in you the hope of glory Galatians two twenty one Chrysler's and you you exercise the faith of Jesus Christ voices to sixteen year justified or justified by the faith of Jesus Christ and to be unjustified we have to be done the sun so anyway all this things go together and Revelation fourteen fall says that God plastic people keep the commands of God and the faith of Jesus which he's been justified by faith so be sure we have a description Romans chapter six and is a description of God lastly people last day people will be servants to God and at the same justified by faith services and God made free from some of the fruits in the holiness and the end everlasting life Romans are receiving relationship to someone however says that the four winds are being held until the services that are sealed and therefore have so what does that say about the sum of atmosphere vessels of the seventh atmosphere is not justified by faith collectively speaking that we are not the same that we are still servants to send not servants to God because if we were dead the sun we would be sealed in performance and we began to have Revelation seven when the servants of God are sealed and therefore has Jesus his longest run of success when your servant of God and of the son they just focus the experience of seven patented by this next week its Romans seven again that I went that the idea not that I would not last when IDL wretchedly and I and the same Greek word and Revelation three Jesus says you are wretched miserable poor blind and naked in your narrative it clearly means you're not covered by the righteousness of Christ we are not justified by faith so my last point here and then we'll measure of her request times is this in order for Jesus the time when you have the experience around six to need to the sun sun having no more dominion over us to be crucified with Christ to be justified by faith so that's my challenge to each one of us here tonight what's the servants of God both strive to be part of a hundred and forty four thousand short dentists in service to God who efforts in the home is in the end everlasting life and what kind of videos that Christ gives us everlasting life and the wages of sin is death which society we want to be on the choice is clear
