Well our subject this morning is intitled looking and to Jesus is there anything that we could focus on that would be better I would submit there is not so as we study the Word of God This morning the message is actually found in your bible so I hope you brought your Bible but let's just begin with an additional word of prayer Father in Heaven Lord I come to you as a weak sinful mortal but Lord I ask that you would speak through me through your word and the power in your word to direct our hearts and minds to focus on the only source of our salvation the only hope that we have is to look into Jesus but Lord may we be revived and they will be reformed and they will be strengthened as we hear your words faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God This is my humble prayer in Jesus' name a min when I ask you a question this morning a little bit controversial question and that is is it possible for us to live a perfect life is it possible for us to be perfect. Love this church you already know where we're going with this we're going to focus on the power of God and not in our own strength in our own strength we look and see this is not possible at all but is it really truly possible and I would submit to you is it necessary for us to be perfect well it can be scary but as we look at the study this morning I hope you'll stay with me we're going to find in God's Word the source of that perfection comes from Jesus Christ and so if you have your Bibles Let's go ahead open up to Revelation Chapter 14 a well known group says the 3 angels messages Revelation 14 beginning in verse 6 and these messages are given we find such priority and importance in them because right after these messages are given in verse 14 skip ahead for just a moment in verse 14 we actually read that there is and I looked and behold a white cloud and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man having on his head a golden crown and in his hand a sharp sickle this is none other than a picture of Jesus' 2nd Coming and so what takes place just before Jesus comes is a message an important message that is just for pastors to preach not at all right is for all Christians who believe in Jesus to share in those messages and to preach and to teach and to share with everyone around them but the getting in verse 6 of Revelation 14 these 3 messages it says and I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven having the everlasting gospel I love that the Gospel never ever expires and never gets old it never needs to be modified and changed in any way it is the everlasting Gospel to preach to them that dwell on the earth. And to every nation and kindred and tongue and people saying with a loud voice Fear God and give glory to Him for the hour of his judgment is come and worship Him that made heaven and earth and the sea and the fountains of water and there followed another angel saying Babylon is fallen is fallen that great city because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication and then here comes the 3rd angel we're going to look at this in a moment and the 3rd angel followed them this is in fact a 3 fold message there are 3 angels but the message is given in a state of progression one message builds upon the next and the next so on and so it is a 3 fold you can't accept the 3rd angel's message and reject the 1st because they follow in sequence after each other and the 3rd angel followed him saying with a loud voice if any man worship the beast and his image and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand the same show drink of the wine of the wrath of God which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb and the holy angels in the present the lamb and the smoke of their torment ascended up forever and ever and they have no rest day nor night who worship the beast and his image and whosoever receive it the mark of his name now I want you to really focus and we're going to drill down on verse 12 here is the patience of the saints here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus you know the expression itself sounds like here are they keep the commit it sounds like if you are playing hide and seek and when you're looking for something and you find it you would say here they are here I found them if someone so I think the verse implies that there is an examiner. Ation or an investigation or looking for someone who fits this description but what is the message we hear from from popular puppets today well if you have faith in Jesus you don't have to keep the commandments Jesus kept the law and he kept the commandments so we don't have to that's not what this verse is saying though in verse 12 it's describing a people who keep all of God's commandments and I believe the way they are able to do so is because they have the faith of Jesus what is the faith of Jesus that enables them and strengthens them to be able to keep God's holy commandments and on a holy person cannot keep holy Commandments the commandments are holy Roman 7 verse 12 wherefore the law is holy and the commandment holy and just and good if an unholy person tries to keep a holy law it will never ever work well let's go to Hebrews Chapter 12 we're going to look and see a key in understanding what we need to know in order to have the ability to keep God's holy Commandments I want to honor God because I love him because he's my creator and I adore him and in fact the word worship this week in our Daniel fast we were studying Daniel Chapter 3 at the Daniel Fast extension and we noticed that the word worship conveys with it the idea of adoration the reason why we worship God Is it comes from an admiration of who he is and what he has done and what he is doing and what he will do I mean there are so many components to that but you adore to love with a great intensity so in Hebrews Chapter 12 beginning in verse one we read these familiar words wherefore seeing we also are compassed or surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses and of course the witnesses are all those mentioned in Hebrews 11 the famous faith chapter seeing we are compass was such a great cloud of witnesses let us lay aside every sin every weight and the sin which does so easily be said to us and let us. Ron how with patience and you would have a different translation in the King James in durance let us run with patience the race that is set before us now the word patience or in durance suggests that it's going to take some work or effort on the part of those who are running the race because we're commission and bided to run the race and this is not just a race down to the refrigerator a race to the mailbox maybe even but a race that's going to take some time and it conveys the idea that it will take perseverance or in durance this should not discourage you but it should encourage you because we all go through challenges and difficulties and we are invited to recognize that it will take in durance in order to run this race how have you ever run a race before but does a one mile race or a 5 K. or 10 K. I know you've had the frostbite just recently and I see a few hands when you're running a race do you get tired why you running. I used to work at a school and they would have a picnic every year and we would they would run the mile run and I can remember every year there would be some students that would NEVER they wouldn't train and they would be running for their class and for whatever reason they I can do it I can do it and they would take off at the beginning of the race and they would just fly around the track on the 1st lap and they would be so far ahead of everybody but you know what's happening what's going to happen they would run out of gas and they would not even be able to hardly finish the race without any training or practicing and just completely lose their their their strength and energy but it describes here if you look at verse 2 the way that we're supposed to run this race with insurance it says looking where looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our what faith and we know that faith is always based on something God says it's based on the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation any faith that we have is based on something that God has told us that is the definition of faith and it describes here that we're looking on to Jesus it's as if Jesus in the race is there at the finish line cheering us on and saying you can do it you can make it. And whenever someone cheers you on at the finish line what does that do to you when you look and see if you've run a race before a family member or a friend and they're near the finish line and they're cheering for you you get reinspired you find new stamina and new strength to push beyond maybe where you thought you could go and I have a renewed zeal and it's the same in our spiritual experience when I when we look to Jesus but I want you to also consider that it says looking on to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith faith is based on what God says but Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith this implies that there is a process or a development that takes place in our faith did you see that. Author finisher I'm going to authorize and begin the faith that you can believe and trust in me and then I'm going to help build that and strengthen that until it finishes and comes to its fullest extent so that you are fully able to do and believe what I have asked you to do and that is to keep His commandments and to live as a perfect person so I hope you can see that author and finisher of our faith but what message do we hear today often times WAY WAY WAY WAY PAST OR Come on now I've got all these problems I've got all these urges and weaknesses and tendencies I can't I just can't get past them all these things and and I just I can't I can't do it I can't do it let me ask you a question who is our focus on when we talk like that. I can't I've got all these things that you don't understand I just I've got this history and all these things and I'm not denying the law of genetics it exists yes but when we talk like that we are denying the power of God and the question rather is what has God What can God do and what is he promised to do for us that is always the key motivating focus I think for the Christian what can God do and what has he promised to do for those who look to him what God's promise is or exceedingly great and this morning I'd like to present to you as we continue and look at this study on righteousness by faith how is it that we achieve what seems to be impossible and it's because we serve a God who is the God of the impossible we serve a God who is the God of the impossible I am serious it's important for us to recognize and realize our condition in fact sometimes people might say something like this Well if you're focusing and working so hard on things that maybe you're trying too hard you're trying so hard that it's making it too difficult for you you need to stop trying so hard and then things will get better for you I'd like to submit to you that on examination of the Scriptures the Bible never tells us to stop trying hard and never tells us to stop putting forth our maximum effort the Bible tells us to change our focus it doesn't mean stop trying so hard what does it say in Deuteronomy 6 verse 5 and shout love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all that I might That sounds like a full complete commitment with everything that I have mentally physically spiritually in any capacity loving God with that and 100 percent giving it to him and focusing on him so the key here is not to stop trying so hard but to change our focus on where we place our effort in our work. Looking on to Jesus oh yes Jesus let me just show you a verse on this point here or let's flip over to Matthew in the New Testament Chapter 11 and verse 12 Matthew Chapter 11 and verse 12 and we're just noticing that the Bible doesn't tell us to stop trying so hard and here it is I feel compelled to throw in we always you know something we have to say these caviar that we're you know we're not going to be saved by our own works somebody might get away from here and leave the church today and say well that's what the pastor was saying that's not what I'm saying we have to say caveats like well you know that we're only in Jesus street that's how we're doing it we're not it's not in our I hope that's clear that when we talk about these things that's not of course ever in our own strength but what we're commissioned to do is based on following the promise God has given to us in His Word and the power to do what God promises is actually contained in the Word of God itself to accomplish it so Matthew Chapter 11 and looking at verse 12 Jesus is speaking and he says and from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffer with violence and the violent take it by force that's an interesting verse I had to study that when I ran across that a number of years ago what does it mean that the violent take the kingdom of heaven by force how what does that exactly mean and so you go to some of the here's where knowing some of the original language comes in handy the Greek word for the violent take it by force is the person of varying earnest desire intensity with all that they have acquire and achieve what God promises so it's not in any wise a minimizing of the effort we are putting forth it's just focusing our efforts on on receiving and believing what God has promised and showing that and demonstrating that belief by a maximum effort to acquire what God has promised to us so that is a tremendous. This promise indeed Well let's ask the question what is righteousness what is righteousness What is the root word for righteousness at the very core of the root word is right is it doing right based on what I think is right based on what Hollywood says is right based on what my friends say is right or is it God who defines what is right you know that's got to be the case right righteousness is defined as God in what his standard is of right doing and in fact if you look at Psalm $1972.00 it actually says the commandments are righteousness they are the written out description of what right doing actually is and what it looks like so God is the one not me who defines righteousness Well we're in a little bit of a predicament because the Bible says that none of us can generate or make or be righteous on our own let's just notice what the Scriptures say Romans Chapter 3 let's look at verse 1011 and 12 Romans Chapter 3 and will look at verses 10 through 12 and we're going to see our condition you know we actually have one of our 28 fundamental beliefs is the nature of man and why is it important because as I realize my condition and how poor I am Blessed are the poor in spirit as I realize my condition it draws me to realize my need of a savior if I don't think that I'm really that bad off that I don't really think I need that much help I don't realize my utter helplessness apart from seeing how God described that in the scriptures so let's notice Romans Chapter 3 beginning in verse tin Paul is quoting from the Old Testament and he says as it is written there is none righteous no not one there is none that understand it there is none that seek it after God they are all gone out of the way they are together become unprofitable there is none that do with good no not one that's pretty clear isn't it that's that's very clear none righteous. I don't have any righteousness of myself to offer back to God and we can see similar verses in Isaiah 64 and verse 6 where it says we are all as an unclean thing and all our righteousnesses are as we've heard it before are as filthy rags any time I try to do something on my own that I think is a good thing apart from Jesus it is just as filthy rags Joe puts it this way in Job 14 verse 4 who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean who knows who can finish that verse not one not one can bring a clean thing out of an unclean another word unclean person and unrighteous person bring a righteous work and present a righteous work out of it and the answer is no you can't bring anything clean out of something that unclean it's just not possible but now we're going to notice Let's go to 1st Corinthians 6 and verse 9 let's notice what the requirements are for an entrance into heaven 1st Corinthians Chapter 6 and will notice together verse 9 and we're just going to read the very 1st sentence of this verse 1st Corinthians Chapter 6 and verse 9 the Bible says no you not that the WHO the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God Do you see the predicament or the quandary that we find ourselves in the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God we have already made it clear and the Bible makes it clear that we have no righteousness I can't I can't formulate it I can't generate it I can't make it I can't what then is what are we to do. You know where the answer is right looking to Jesus We don't have in any way shape or form a righteousness that will commend us to God It is not possible for us to make or generate righteousness so how can we do this well let's turn over now to Romans Chapter 3 will look here together at verses 21 and 22 turn back to Romans Chapter 3 looking at verses 21 and 22 The Bible says Romans 3 and verse $21.00 but now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested being witnessed by the law and the Prophets even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all of them that what does it say that believe unto all and upon all that believe for there is no difference you know we treat righteousness like it is some kind of an abstract theory or idea that is floating around in outer space rather than a living reality righteousness is the very character of God when we exercise righteousness by faith it actually changes us we become changed it is a living reality that we experience through trust and belief in what Jesus has done for us and I want to share with you a statement from desire of ages that speaks to this point of the type of belief that Paul is talking about here in Romans that we must have in order to receive the promise God offers to us desire of ages page $347.00 it is not enough to believe about Christ we must believe in Him The only faith that will benefit us is that which embraces him as a personal savior Yes he saves everybody he is the savior of the whole world the Bible says but unless we believe that he saves us personally believing in Him as our personal Savior it is not the quality or character of faith that will see. US and commend us to God Many hold faith as an opinion saving faith is a transaction a transaction an exchange a transaction by which those who receive Christ join themselves in Covenant relation with God genuine faith is life it is a living quality genuine faith is life a living faith means an increase of vigor a confiding trust by which the soul becomes a conquering power that is the faith that is necessary to be able to stand there and follow the keep and keep the 3rd angel's message a living faith that accept Jesus as our personal Savior that's why Paul could say inhalations to verse 20 I'm crucified with Christ nevertheless yet not I but Christ live within me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for mean what does it say in Romans one verses 16 and 17 I says for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the what it is the power of God The gospel is the power of God It's not weak and uncertain it is the power of God unto salvation it results in salvation to those who receive the power that God provides in that now notice it continues on and it actually says to the Jew 1st and also to the Greek as it is written The just shall exist by faith shall live by faith their actions are connected with Jesus and so they're living by faith based on what Jesus has told them to do and by looking on to him they receive the straight and the power to do what Jesus has asked them to do looking on to Jesus is the key we come back to that again and again it's with where your focus is it ins and begins and that with where our focus is is what is important now take your Bibles with me and let's look at 1st John chapter 3 and verse 7 and we're going to look at a popular deception that John warns us against 1st. 3 and verse 7 1st John chapter 3 and verse 7 Do we have that all right aim in the Bible says little children let no man would deceive you so on this point there is a deception that existed even in John's day if he is a counseling the his listeners and readers don't know anyone deceive you it's because there is an active deception already in place let no one deceive you analyse read what he says he do with the righteousness is righteous even as he is righteous What is that he that do with righteousness is righteous even as he is righteous Now what does that mean might be asking yourselves what in the world does that mean that he that does righteousness is righteous if somebody put what John is saying is that if somebody comes along and says you can have righteousness but it won't make you practice righteousness that is a mistake that is an error if you if you are attempting if you think that you can believe that you can receive righteousness but it doesn't actually correspond with my life and come out with how I live and how I practice and what I do then that is a deception it is not really righteousness the only ones who have received righteousness genuinely are acting upon it and doing something based on that experience does that make sense to you there's a clear there must be a corresponding action that goes with the faith transaction to receive what God promises they will act it out in their lives the life of Christ will be elated by his followers do you believe that this morning well there is a place in the Bible that really explains I think in some of the clearest terms what this is really like this experience so if you have your but let's go to Romans Chapter 4 Romans chapter 4 and we're going to look at the experience of the patriarch Abraham and find how he is an example of the type and the quality of faith that we must have in order to be. Part of God's people there in Revelation 14 verse 12 here are they those that keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus Romans chapter 4 and this experience that Abraham had Let's notice beginning in verse one of Romans Chapter 4 the Bible says what shall we say then that Abraham our father as pertaining to the flesh have found for if Abraham were justified by works he hath whereof to glorify but not before God In other words Paul is saying that if Abraham could have done what God told him to do and fulfill the promise in his own strength then he could have come to God and said Here it is I did it I did what you asked me to do and so therefore I am you know you can reward me now because I did it in my own strength but we know that that's not possible for a fallen center to do what God says based on without a connection with him so Abraham could not do that let's see in verse 3 for what say at the scripture Abraham believed God and it was counted on to him for righteousness believe God what was the quality of his belief Abraham was called to leave his home when he was 75 years of age and he wasn't even really directly told where he was going to be going how many of us at 75 years of age are planning to to just pack up and head out to we're someplace we don't know and start a new life that was the age of Abraham and yet by faith he trusted God and believe that he was going to lead him to work God wanted him to be where God gave a promise to him that he would be great and that his descendants would be as numerous as the sand of the sea and even promised him in Genesis 15 that the Messiah would come through his lineage there was a problem though how many kids today were him have 075 Sarah was 10 years younger than Abraham 65 the Bible says there was very beautiful but she didn't have any kids so she was barren now God promises to Abraham and then years later. Let's see it was 1415 years later Abraham this promise is confirmed to him he still is thinking OK God How is this going to work by this time Sarah is about 80 years of age she couldn't have children in her prime and now she's certainly past child bearing age so she can't have children certainly not now so there's a double problem with Sarah even when you were in your prime as a woman you weren't able of having kids you were capable of having children so but it says that Abraham trusted in God and what God had promised that he was able to perform that he was able to do is that our experience today as we read scripture and study what God says and promises to us do we believe that he is able more than able and capable of doing what he says to us in His word Abraham believed God and it was counted on to him for righteousness you see Abraham believed that God is the God of the impossible think with me for just a moment how many times in Scripture are there instances where the impossible happened with God's people because of God's help and deliverance Jonathan and his arm or bear going up against the Philistines 2 guys and Jonathan realized there's no difference with the Lord to say by many or by few with God all things are possible and so they go and wipe out a whole garrison of Philistines with just 2 gods and then you look at the child of Israel as they go to Jericho and March around the city God tells them just March around the city 7 times and then just shout Is this a good battle strategy have other people tried to attack Jericho before and the fortifications of Jericho and been successful this is a great strategy I'm not sure but what happened though when they followed what God said the impossible happened and then further when you look in the New Testament and look at Jesus and the apostles and their miracles many times there are miracles are of people that are healed who were a man who was blind from his birth a man who was paralyzed or crippled from his birth and why is that important or significant. Even Well if they once could see it some time and then they lost their sight where you could make the argument well once it used to work but it doesn't now well they used to could walk when they were younger but now they can't but when they are blind from birth and paralyzed from birth and they are healed and given sight and given given the ability to walk it never worked and yet God still could do the impossible and give them the healing that they needed and they wanted and so those are just little tokens of the power of God to do the impossible if we take Him at His word and believe in what he promises to us and there's many examples throughout the Scriptures that tell us that God is the God of the impossible so how did Abraham view God and there is a right way and a wrong way to view God how did Abraham view God let's look still in Romans chapter 4 in verse 16 Romans chapter 4 and verse 16 therefore it is a faith that it might be by grace to the end to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed not to that only which is of the law but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham who is the father of us all here Abraham is described as the father of us all and this is describing not just the Jewish nation but it's describing all of those who follow the footsteps of Abraham and have the same quality and the same type of substance or character of faith now let's look and see what he had as we read how Paul describes it verse 17 as it is written I have made the father of many nations before him who he believed even God who quickened at the dead and call it those things which should be not as would as though they are is that the power of God that you see in the in Scripture God calls those things which are not and he speaks and it's done reminds me of Psalm 33 verse 9 Speaking of creation where it says for he spake and it was done he commanded and it stood fast I mean God when He spoke. It and said it it happened at the creation of the world and it's the same way when he says it in his words it happens because he calls things that are not as though they are so can God take an unrighteous person and make them righteous with his power and with his strength salute Lee entirely Yes yes that is the power of the Gospel that God can do that this is what Abraham believed about God that he can call things that as though they aren't verse 18 who against hope believed in hope now was against hope hope Abraham and self is old man he's you know he's well past you know his young years and then of course with Sarah's condition that she can't bear children but even against hope he still hope because he knew that God can call things as though they are that were not in existence before that is the quality of faith that Abraham had that he might become the father of many nations according to that which was spoken so shall die seed be verse 19 and being not weak in faith Now here's where I want you to notice 22 things in particular being not weak in faith he Abraham considered not what his own body number one Abraham did not consider his own body what do we talk about here earlier with I have all these problems I have these addictions I have these and I'm not saying these are not real issues and real problems but if we look at the problem and let the problem define us and keep us from receiving what God provides we miss out on what the power of the gospel really offers it says he did not consider his own flesh and his own weaknesses his own urges and tendencies he did not focus on that and allow that to be a barrier between what God offers to provide for him so what does that mean in practical terms for you and me we cannot look at our own flesh and our own weaknesses and allow that to limit the power of God to change and transform our lives and we have a tendency to do that friends I'm weak and more. Well just like you I have these same times when you're sitting in at home or whatever and you're thinking man I'm terrible I've done this and I've got all these things I need to work on getting better at this and and not doing this and what but if we consider and keep focusing on those things then it never works then and that's why people today I think are tempted to believe I'll never be able to receive and have that righteous perfection that God wants to give to everyone that believes every human being and so but it says Abraham did not consider his own body so in practical terms that is the flesh that he had now let's also knows what he also did not consider still in verse 19 is that he did not consider his own body now dead when he was about how old a 100 years old and here's the other thing number 2 neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb What is that I think I heard it circumstances the circumstances that Abraham found himself in where you see Sara I mean in her condition and she's never had a child never been able to have a child and now she's in postmenopausal and what and she never had a child so the circumstances look so terrible I don't see how God can do it he didn't consider that but was strong in faith believing in the Word that God had spoken that he was fully able to do what he said friends we cannot let our circumstances Well I've got all these issues and I can't pay my tod because I don't have enough money to get by as it is I can't I can't afford to do that don't consider your circumstances just trust what God has promised he will do I've got these other issues and challenges in my life and all these circumstances and family and friends are going to understand if I follow God or what circumstances Abraham did not consider He's our example in what quality of faith we need to have did not consider his circumstances we should do the same in not following our Considering our circumstances and allowing that to be a barrier to what God wants to do for us verse 20 he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief. But was strong in faith giving glory to God So what does that mean then he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief So what the Bible says then is that if Abraham would have considered his body and he would have considered his circumstances the Bible calls that unbelief if he would have brought that into consideration that is unbelief in terms of what the Bible says but it says he did not consider those things but just looked at what God had promised and said fully perswaded fully confident God can do just what he says he will do brother and sisters we must banish unbelief and bury it and not go dig it up again just leave it behind and continue to focus and look to Jesus verse 21 and being fully persuaded that wait how convinced was Abraham I mean for Lake entirely completely on questionably believing and persuaded that God can do what he says he will do that is the type of person wage and and conviction that we must have the same quality of faith that God can do what he says he will do well let me ask you something this morning is that how you believe in God that he is capable and able to do that do you believe are you fully convinced that regardless of your weaknesses and your circumstances I don't know all of your weaknesses of circumstances you know all my weaknesses the circumstances that God can do for you what you cannot do for yourself are you persuaded this morning I am convinced and persuaded that God can do that because Abraham had this quality of faith it was accounted to him for righteousness he received that which he did not possess before because of his faith and belief in what God said let's go to verse 23 we're coming to a close now it was not written for his sake alone that it was that it was imputed or counted to him but who else verse 24 that's why we're looking at this story that's why. Record in the Bible so we can look at the same story and see the same you know Abraham had lots of things he could have looked at that would have hindered God from from giving him his righteousness but Abraham set those aside and said I choose to believe the Word of God no matter what else is around me we walk by faith not by sight sight would consider your circumstances and your own body and your own weaknesses I don't consider those I only consider what is God said and do I believe it yes or no that is what is under consideration it was not written for his sake alone but for us also to whom it shall be imputed or accounted it shall be if we have the same quality of faith that he did it's right there waiting for us to receive it if we believe on Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the did who was delivered for our offenses and was raised again for our justification so we see a question this morning and I come back again how convinced are you that God is able to do what he has promised how convinced what level of conviction do you have regarding God and what he has promised when we come to this experience in our faith we will do the great things for God that we see all the great women and men of the Bible doing in our own lives our children will see us living out incredible testimonies of faith not just stories in the Bible but as we live as the characters in the heroes of faith in the Bible the same great events and the same great circumstance or happenings in our lives will be revealed just as it was in the lives of those in the Bible who were great champions of fate it won't just be in the Bible it will be a living reality a living experience that we all will share in do you believe that this morning do you want that experience friends brothers and sisters I want that with all of my heart and with all of my soul and with all of my Might we must have this experience with Jesus and we will have this experience with Jesus if we do would keep our eyes focused on Jesus. When I look at myself I don't see how I can be saved when I look at Jesus I don't see how I can be lost because I see the power of the Gospel and the power of what he has promised in his word it cannot fail God is not a man that he should lie need of the Son of man that he should repent had he said and shall he not do it or has he spoken and shall he not make it good that's number 23 verse 19 God will fulfill his word the transformation of our sense of our lives and characters will become a living reality that we will know in our innermost soul the righteousness of Christ is a living righteousness it will be known for certain by those who receive and experience it 1st hand it will not be theoretical but it will be a reality and it will be practical in your life and in my life if we believe God and take him at his word what that means is that no matter what you struggle with right now this morning there is a Savior who can deliver you from that today no matter what it is if you look on to Jesus and quit considering your own body and your own circumstances you can do the impossible in Jesus's strength Jesus is righteousness which he longs to give to you and to meet we're told in the spirit of prophecy that faith in the ability of Christ to save us amply and fully and entirely is the faith of Jesus I'll repeat that one more time faith in the ability of Christ to save us amply and fully and entirely is the faith of Jesus and that's what the 3rd angel's message says in Revelation 14 verse 12 here are they that keep the commandments of God and they have the faith of Jesus and I would submit to you this morning they're able to keep the commandments of God because they have the faith of Jesus the faith like Abraham a living faith that trust God and takes him at his word my question this morning as we close are you looking into Jesus we must take our focus off of our own weaknesses Jesus is saying even now. Look up I'm at the finish line I'm cheering you on I want to give you all of my strength so that you can continue and persevered in the race that is set before you too to be able to reach the heavenly kingdom I will give you my strength I'm excited you're going to make it Jesus is telling us you are going to make it if you will look at me and focus on me you won't have anything else to worry about I will take care of the details has Jesus gone before us and gone through all the heartaches and hardships of every bump and crooked and corner in the road that we do yes he knows what we have to go through so if we look on to Jesus we can have that in our lives we can have it right now and begin today that authorization and then the work of finishing our faith he will do as we grow in our relationship and trust in Him How do you want to raise your hand today and say I want to look into Jesus I want the quality of faith is Abraham I want to follow him and not look at my circumstances and not look at my own weaknesses and trust that he will do what he's promised he will do even Father our hope needs nothing else than your word and Jesus righteousness or may we look to Jesus and draw strength from focusing on him this will lead to a complete change in our lives that we will know for sure by experience that you have given us your perfect righteousness or forgive us for our unbelief May we look up and look higher still and to Jesus every day the rest of our lives is my prayer in Jesus' name a name in this media was brought to you by audio for years a website dedicated to spreading God's word through free sermon audio and much more if you would like to know more about the universe or if you would like to listen to more service Visit W W W.
