do I see for a little bit of background history is a supporting ministry that some young people about ten years ago started up they wanted to have a serious Bible study and evangelism training and had no interest in big show in parade and an Auckland like that although that usually goes the typical UV thing they'd want to get down stay the word of God in challenging up inspiring sermons about the work of the Lord the first year they didn't they discovered word-of-mouth invited about two hundred of their friends and four hundred showed up and I was good things and actually played for four hundred and eight hundred showed up and at this point this last Sabbath there were about seven thousand were in attendance at the commitments in Orlando on all of them all most of them between the ages of thirteen eighteen and thirty five and that's the exciting thing to be a part of and I are not on the Board of Directors of note personal I'm not on the committee 's burning of it but I've been invited to speak a few times and so this is what I was doing was able to be part of it on their the the theme this year was before men and angels is taken from the writings of the apostle Paul who always got it right from this perspective of someone who's being watched if you notice you were on display we've been made a spectacle both before men and angels and how the universe is watching the church to see not just if we claim to be Jesus Christ will Christ actually manifests himself in his people and that was the challenge the young people let Christ live annuity to be a witness to the onlooking world both the men and to angels my particular seminar track which was six hours six different sessions long was about victory overs in the individual conflict from the universal perspective the great controversy down to the individual in our role in vindicating the character of God before the universe was rather some deep thoughts and some good things but we had an appraisal Lord that this is the seminar that I was able to present was with great respect every time we had three to four hundred people in the room every time I always like that of the it was great fun to be part of things is why I appreciate your opportunity willingness to allow me to do those things I want to let you know that I did not go alone I was happy that there was a young person from the Fremont church you also went and he had some he's coming back on fire and want to do some things that the local churches were prisoner that is also an extended member of our church family on this Lindsay Mosher was there with us and I was very exciting and roomful of literally I plus thousand young people sitting up there there was a young man who gave his testimony was a powerful theft powerful desktop and he made an appeal for baptism I was very very happy to see Lindsay was the very very first one out of the thousands who were there to go down a letter like Jesus Christ so we want to encourage that and grow in it and build on it and I hope that the work doing that all the time but it's very inspiring as we look into what would be doing here in July with our evangelism coming up this year that we want to be event is not just that thing we did but it's that they were always doing him to be doing more of until the Lord comes and we want to be doing so we keep that focus in mind as we give you brief report that GUIs he was a blessing I'm sure I don't know if anyone be able to catch up on three again it was recorded after the be replaying and audio will be available shortly with coming but anyway it was a blessing so thank you for that but now here today we turn our attention to the very last book of the Bible the book of Revelation it's a new year will be starting a new series were to be looking at the book of Revelation very last book the Bible and I know that there are many people many many people who don't want to go there they almost pretend as though that doesn't exist they love the New Testament love the gospel of love you know the books of Paul and the writings of James and John others think well almost everything is done right away negative the revelation of her with a slow and stop right there and then look back and which is almost like there's an above further stopped going to one of the list to go boldly there because the revelation of the revelation abuse is not the revelation of terrors were horrible symbols of awful things even though they are symbolic languages use their but if the revelation with his neighbors wonder Revelation chapter one verse one the revelation of who Jesus Christ and friends of Jesus is there a safe rest to go there to an end so where this quarter minute take a look at the book of Revelation and let me tell you a few ground rules before we launch into a number one there is absolutely no way no way possible that were to cover everything they could be covered in the book of Revelation in a quarter of Sears and I'm sure the business they want us we need covetous modeling indictment of the ivory we need all of us need to be diving in God 's word there's only so much we can do altogether one time so were to do the best that we can our goal is not necessarily to analyze each tree but to go back and look at the whole forest that make sense so I want to give the challenge that would present myself and hopefully you'll pick up on as we go through this quarter sermon is to look at the book of Revelation as a whole and see each of its parts out there related together and yes the dive into some parts and yes there are some parts were going to skim that is not because I don't think they're important whether think any less we just want to give a good overview of the book of revelations that do not think of this don't expect it to be revelation the four hundred level class a this is Revelation one oh one the basic nuts and bolts but hopefully it will put the framework in our head so that when the opportunity not if but when you go home and study more into Revelation you have the proper framework the place that study inside that makes sense that so were looking at the broad range of Revelation today we look at chapters one to three limits I something chapter one deserves the sermon on its own in fact is the first verse of chapter one abuse of the you can literally take almost every verse of revelation have a good study just on that is able to reach verse so we need to start with the word where was begin with father thank you so much thank you for giving us this book and forgiving is Jesus Christ not just on loan but you've given to them to us or what thank you for the gift of Jesus and now as we study the revelation of Jesus Christ Lord we ask that Jesus would truly be revealed hopeless to see him more clearly understand his plan for our future in the end on events that are soon to come as we focus on him and him alone we prayed in Jesus name amen anyway I believe the Lord will bless our site I want to start right here in Revelation chapter one obviously Revelation chapter one is the introductory statements to the rest of the book and so in a certain sense Revelation chapter one and verse is one into our introduction but you can also stunt first three but then John extended into the rest of the versus anything all to do one of introduction will then you can go to chapters two and three they will actually those are an introduction to the rest of the book is going so everything films everything contains all its own and it builds into the next thing I put self-contained but it also builds and the next thing was to start with chapter one and verse one opening the book the revelation again although Jesus Christ reveals Jesus let's be clear about this I want you to see that from the very opening sentence and alter these introductory statements all of the chapters were bitter me today keeps coming back to Jesus whole purpose of revelation is revealed Jesus Christ the revelation of Jesus Christ now let's look at how it came to be which God gave him the way to Jesus Christ of this message from God the father right gave him to show his servants things which must shortly take place to the relation of Jesus Christ the message to be given to his servant about things that are shortly to take place things that have not happened yet but are going to happen someday in the future that are written for our admonition that all prophecy yes something that needs to be told to have happened yet servants by the way are the prophets who relay this message so there's a message about Jesus Christ if the prophecy given by God about the future said all of that right there in the very first opening sentence and he centered and signified it by his Angel to his servants John the interesting thing throughout the book of revelations servants is almost always equated with profit and the messenger of the Lord be Angel the one who's going to deliver this message from God is his servants as he relays the message was sent and signified it by his angel to his servant John which doesn't reveal by the way interesting thing about how the Bible is given to us again this is where one whole sermon could be dedicated this but notice that the father gives the sun that gives the angel the Angel give the John and John Wright to give to other people to read the other you know it spreads it that way at the end of this game of telephone to distill the word of God absolutely but he is a method of transcription is not just directly writing of his own finger in a or pronouncing it out loud the revelation of you know about gives it to someone if someone gives it to someone and John is the human profit the earthly messenger of this message that God wants to get verse two speaking of John who bore witness to the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ which apparently is all the things that he saw the sea this phrasing reviewed by Elysée things started here in chapter one the repeated all throughout the book this phrasing of the word of God and testimony of Jesus Word of God testimony of Jesus blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written in it for what reason for the time is near and the notice again it comes back to this will looking at Jesus something about the future that's coming in the time is near all eyes are on Jesus as we look to the future and the time whatever that is is near so he goes on John chapter on a Revelation chapter one verse four John was writing out to the seven churches which are in Asia now I want up on strike there here the human author even though the message is from God the human author is whom John a and he's writing it to a particular group of people it is not to say to the church which of all the saints or to do in the future might ever read this book there were some literal places in a real place in real time real people who are receiving this letter a and where are they located in Asia face of John if about to read a little bit is stranded on the island of Patmos for the word of God and the testimony Jesus is why got in trouble at like they are both while he is there the Lord can send this message to give to those seven churches which are in Asia notice they not churches which will be in Asia they are at that point when he's writing real churches that actually are functioning at that time some of which the apostle Paul is already visited and we know they are yet churches established of course the Army established churches there receiving these messages from God servant and I know that seems like such of my new point to bring out but I want to start show you start setting the framework now that John is writing from the perspective of the currently our and things that will be in the future it starts in his time and before they go again merciful Sean to the seven churches which are in Asia Grace to you and peace from so is John writing form for his own sake no you cannot simply relaying a message from someone else tells us who is brought from him capital H who is and was and is to come as one person and from the seven spirits which are before the throne and from home Jesus Christ the faithful witness the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of the kings of your you have three entities mentioned air as this message is from but apparently go back to Revelation chapter one verse one who was this group from whom to this message originates off bonus question is it possible for there to be one God in three persons absolutely absolutely this message is from God but John clearly identifies what he says when he needs God he thought the father who wasn't it is to come the Holy Spirit which by the way the book of Revelation you will never see mentioned the name Holy Spirit but we see repeatedly mentioned the seven spirits yet is the book of symbolism where numbers and colors in certain biblical names are used to describe things here seven spirits of God and from Jesus Christ and the father the Spirit and the sun he said all of this is God I all of these individuals close to one God and he goes on to say to him who loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood which may really got into that describes right after he was just talking up the first five from Jesus Christ the faithful witness the firstborn from the dead the route between the do you love to watch this our sins in his own blood and made us kings and priests to his God and father to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever amen which member of the Godhead is the specifically exalting here Jesus Christ why because as the revelation of Christ a legacy of the written revelation is grounded and rooted in Jesus Christ beholder seven the is coming with clouds is coming Jesus Christ he is coming with clouds and every eye will see him even they who pierced him that all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of them even so amen you notice that he's writing to seven literal churches in a real place in Asia minor they are the seven churches but he supposed to be we given them a message of things to come and it culminates with the coming of Jesus Christ so you have a chronological framework established right of your engine is a revelation revelation chapter one the begins with the time of the prophet John goes ahead of that time things which are to come and culminates with the coming of Jesus Christ this is the timeframe of the book of Revelation this is what it covers the introduction tells the banana verse nine I John both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ was on the island is called Patmos for what reason for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus phrasing over the word of God testimony of Jesus I was in the Spirit on the Lord 's day in by the time you get the revelation the rest of Scripture makes it very clear which is the Lord 's day Sabbath day the same one for the very beginning of creation right I was in spirit of the Lord then I heard behind me a loud voice of the trumpet saying I have the output of the Omega first in the last and what you see write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia and it was the witch when I was in it teaching Academy though they almost did memorize the names of the seven churches I hope all you can do that now if not good for the extracurricular study can do this afternoon EST TSP L ESP TSP L Ephesus Smyrna Pergamum five hundred Sardis Philadelphia and finally later this day the seven churches which are in Asia and notice again in verse eleven his instructions is Jesus Christ instructing his servant John his messenger it does not say right seven books and send it to send one to each church each church doesn't get its own book all of these were bound together in one book and they were supposed to be passed around from church to church church that makes it the one messenger would take it Ephesus them and they read it they get the instruction permit any go on to the nickel all of whether a circuit until they get to Laodicea so and I find it interesting because the letters to the seven messages to the seven churches are not always encouraging about the churches that some churches of binary were doing great and boy did you hear about that one did you hear about artists that hereby all my Laodicea and for every church got it and it in and I bring this out because I think it's an important point that the messages were all herded think that there is a sequence emphasis than Pergamum then by all the way around in Pergamum a way around to get Lindsay it lays it out in a sequence again I want to drive his point home was one territory called Asia minor with seven distinct churches and the message was supposed to travel on this one this one this one in a sequence from first to last is a clear I'm not trying to run the government trying to simple fight around corners up I just want everyone to see the structure and that's important because this is a book of prophecy it usually does things in a sequential order respectively seen prophecies prior to the book of Revelation will bring them to submit what you going first twelfth then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me and having turned I saw seven golden lamp stands but don't worry doesn't health lampstands are yet but we'll get there in just a few moments I saw seven golden lamp stands and in the midst of the seven lampstands one like the Son of Man now the Son of Man was a moniker that Jesus used for himself when he was there on the earth Sean would've been familiar with that he walked and talked to live with Jesus right it describes clothing clothes of the garment down to his feet and girded about his chest with a golden band 's head and his hair were white like wool as white as snow his eyes like a flame of fire his feet were like fine brass in the refined in a furnace of his voice as the sound of many waters he had in his right hand seven stars out of his mouth with a sharp two-edged sword and his countenance was like the sun shining in its strength is it already employing symbolic language yes I this is not necessarily an individual that the physical sword coming out of his mouth and holding stars and walking among fiery lamps but it explains it starts introducing us to the symbolic language right here in the introduction so whenever you get the symbolic language later you're not surprised you like all that makes sense they've already set the groundwork for that in the no verse seventeen and when I saw him I fell at his feet as dead but he laid his right hand on me saying to me do not be afraid I am the first and the last I am he who lives and was dead and behold I am alive for evermore amen and I have the keys of Hades and of death who is this individual did only one person and dress like that talk like that I like that and say of his own testimony I used to be done but not alive for evermore who is the use price is his book all about Jesus Christ absolutely from beginning to end the revelation of Jesus Christ verse nineteen so Jesus commands them right the things which you have seen as though his job is to write down the things anything that things which the notice is very important the things which are an artist present tense currently at your time the things which are and the things which will take place when after this so apparently what he's about to write down have an application of the time which is living things that are also application for things that are still to come a future of prophecy so apparently he can write something inhabit real life at that real-time application but also be a prophecy of what is to come in the future and I believe is what would you see in the seven churches these are real churches with real issues but they also represent the future to come what system again he says write the things that you've seen in the things which are the things which will take place after this and then he starts to give us the interpretation of some of the symbolism of verse twenty minute at Tucson my right hand and the seven golden lamp stands the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches to get to the messengers of the seven churches and the seven lampstands which you saw are about what seven churches they are the seven churches and notice that Jesus is seen by John walking in amongst these churches any other message for these churches that he wanted John to write down and give you a messenger who would relay those messages to the churches very simple which brings us up in the chapter one legal writing a chapter to chapter two and three is completely devoted to these seven churches to the seven churches in the church of Ephesus the first church we find a church that's full of zeal for the truth but it has one little problem it's lost its first love to read it chapter to hear again each church by the way has an introduction from Jesus himself with a different attribute about himself Francis Chapter two verse one to the angel of the church of Ephesus write these things says he who holds the seven stars in his right hand walking the midst of the seven gold less that we just thought we will start to walk methods with that Jesus bodily the default entered almost every question the book Revelation is going to be Jesus because of this as I know your works your labor your patience and that you cannot bear those who are evil and you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not in a found them liars as you preserved and have patience persevered and have patience and labored for my namesake and not become weary all of these are good things Faith Lutheran and nevertheless I have this against you you left your first remember therefore from where you fallen repent and do your first works also you quickly remove your left infamous place unless you repent but this you have a good thing you hate the deeds of the neglect of which I also hate only half of these people who were testing the truth were coming out of peoples not testing the apostle himself testing all the things I think is true they were holding the faith in God that is commendable that's great you reject the right things you accept the correct things the only problem is you in so doing you've lost a personal that seems to be the issue now for the church in Ephesus the real church in Asia minor that would've resonated with their personal experience on Holly we do have these issues within the glitz and we can have these heresies come in and we had held the fate but at the same time you're right we cuddle lost their zeal for the lost we discovered starting to come into it and he says repent America when so there's an application for the church at that time but this is also a parallel to the early church a the earliest church things they were not just the message delivered by the part of the early fathers they were still alive the apostles were still living in and having a ministry of the other people were being faithful that time but they were starting to lose their first love church and elegant chapter two and verse eight second church of Smyrna I like Smyrna I would not have wanted to go through it they did but the good thing is Smyrna has absolutely no rebuke from the Lord mentioned in it whatsoever which is kind of nice verse eight and an angel the church of Smyrna write these things say the first and the last two was dead and came to life I know your works tribulation and poverty but you are rich keep that in mind is an interesting contrast between Smyrna who was faithful under persecution verses later see you at the end who apparently spacing no persecution and his lackadaisical and lazy apathetic dear poor but rich in spirit late if he thinks there rich but doesn't realize that there actually or in spirit the inference from that is apparently little testing a little difficulty is actually good for spiritual growth I think one of the most dangerous things of Satan in divorce is make everything good and relaxed to get in flow this church was under persecution they were staying faithful said first end do not fear any of the things which are about to suffer and indeed the devil is about to throw some of you into prison but you may be tested and you have tribulation ten days but be faithful until death and I will give you the crown of life that promising again no rebuke at all for the church in Smyrna that the church in persecution time and they're being faithful throughout it to the good of their church pergolas Pergamum was some translated this church was mostly faithful but you see the beginnings of compromise the church apart what's this verse twelve into the angel the church of programs write these things says he met the two-edged sword I know your works and where you dwell where Satan 's throne is of course if you know anything about the big area apartments this was a very very evil place very spiritual place and had this would've been very pertinent application of the people living at that time and you hold fast to my name did not deny my faith even days in which entered this month I faithful martyr who was killed among you where Satan dwells but I have a few things against you so a lot of things faithful even under persecution to some extent but have a few things against you because you have been at the Google those who hold the doctrine of a love who taught Bay look to put a stumbling block with the children of Israel the evening sacrifice to idols and commit sexual immorality felt if you are to pick up the book of Revelation in hearing about Palin you would think I'll bail must be a guy who's living there at that time but if you know the rest of the Scripture Palin is him they love they are Palin as a reference back to the Old Testament right you will see this employed in the book of Revelation Revelation three zero eight you read all the Bible that comes before it right so it will employ thinking of a loan from back in the day when they lifted anything anyway it is a stock explained they limited because of Giardino same thing with Babylon the same thing would just about the same thing with all these different Old Testament references it assumes that you are you know that so we can employ them without having to play catch-up so he just kind of growth after your tolerating Palin as it was it is a bailiff with Israel diversity and that you have those who hold the doctrine the Nicoletta which I hate that remember back in the church of Ephesus they kept out the liquid to think that the doctrines pure but now the time apartments starting it done in a fully embracing ethanol drinking it but there be an okay with it started hollering right they were starting the season compromised here in the Lord rebuke their lords admonition of the number sixteen repents or else I will come to you quickly will fight against them with the sword of my mouth so we go now to the next church of what you notice this progression of corruption in the churches verse eighteen go to the church by Tyra and Angel instructed by Kyra Wright these things says the son of God who has eyes like a flame of fire and his feet like fine brass I know your works love service faith and your patience as we work the laughter more than the first you do good things that go and that's pretty much the end of the good news for the even more problems mentioned nevertheless personally I have a few things against you because you allow that woman Jezebel who called herself a prophet is to teach and seduce my servants to commit sexual morality getting the evening sacrifice to idols again is a reference to Jezebel from the Old Testament that would be code language to the people there and they would understand ha ha that Jezebel express mail deficit back to the point where experiencing in our church they would've understood that at the time and he goes on to talk about the difficulties are having a look at verse twenty four now I say to you that the USA into the rest of by fire as many as do not have this doctrine who have not known the depths of Satan as they say I will put on you no other burden but hold fast what you have to like if you overcome it keeps my works unto the end to him I look at power over the nations goes on to give these promises of overcoming if you repent of these shortfall Nelly LucasArts in my Bible it even has the heading of the dead church and I would not want to be known as you know the dead church but in this group was that the Sardis was known as chapter three verse one three eight of the church in Sardis write these things says he read the seven spirits of God and the seven stars I know your works but you have a name that you are alive but you are dead be watchful and strengthen things remain that are ready to dive tribe not found your works perfect before God remember therefore how you received and heard old fast and repent therefore you will not watch I will come upon you the people you will not know what hour I will come upon you but it does underscore you have a few names even in Sardis move not defiled their garments and they shall walk with me in white for they are worthy if you notice down the vast majority of the church is corrupted a few were still faithful is he was progression of corruption during the time of persecution that he was walking in Ephesus everything was doctrinally sound the only problem is they were too zealous that they were losing their love for the lost pretty much that was it a venue going to the public persecution they rallied together in their faith will need to set hold on you can make it no rebuke whatsoever then as we move forward in the churches you start to see a little bit of compromise than a 50-50 mix by the time night at the start of the hoping is basically databases that you were still CC a growing compromise throughout the history of the church and again each of these churches would have a personal application of their own situation but as a history you're starting to see the outline of the history of the Christian church about from the apostolic era all the way to the end of time which is the chronological framework the introduction of large established starting the time of Johnny going the time of Jesus 's return so then we go on your start your view even in Sardis is not the father they shall walk with me in white for they are worthy now skip down to versa you think all things can't get any worse and then you go to chapter three in verse seven and you find his marvelous breath of fresh air called the church of Philadelphia Philadelphia means what brotherly love right in this church was doing things well that this church was on fire for missions they were really got in fact you go from a church that's almost completely dead all of a sudden there seems to be the rapid increase in its use at spreading the gospel here the church Philadelphia later on were to find out why that is a just one lay the framework for seventh meetings of the church in Philadelphia right reasoning says he was holding you is true that the key of David Wilkins and no one shuts and shuts and no one opens I know your works see I have sent you before so before you an open door and no one can shut it or you have a little strength of Katmai word and not denied my name and he goes on a ghostly talk about this keep reading is great indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews and are not but lie indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet and to know that I have loved you because you have kept my command to preserve the persevere and I will also keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world to test those who dwell on the earth notice there living in a time just before the time of trial that will come upon the whole world behold now he says I am coming quickly to the church of Philadelphia is getting closer and closer now to the second last surgeon he said that the time of trial coming up behold I come quickly to living closer and closer the end of this time this era on earth history and in looking closer and closer the coming of Jesus behold I'm coming quickly hold fast what you have that no one may take your crown and the church of Philadelphia is unique in all of these seven churches because it's the only church downside of two churches Sardis and Philadelphia received no rebuke from the Lord no rebuke both were on fire to do with the Lord had said one was under time of persecution the other was looking for the second coming of Jesus and you think all this is great this is how difficult and surely the last church the one that lives at the very time of Christ coming will the most unwired the most zealous permission the most ready to go and write at a very again to get all the technical theological term but if the church of legacy almost worse than that it is called Luke warm is the church of a know you're expecting this big Jesus coming to America looking for submissions another that lasted about a what school first fourteen of the angel the church of the Laodiceans write these things says the amen the faithful and true witness the beginning of the creation of God I know your works and every other time that phrases the news is a good thing I know you're doing this and you do not anything I know your works the you are neither cold nor hot I could wish you were cold or hot you can do some cold water is on the hot water lukewarm and act exactly says in verse sixteen so then because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot I will vomit you out of my mouth because you say you notice the contrast up because you say I am rich have become wealthy and have need of nothing that would define what were right near where happy in our earthly home with the Lord is coming to take away feeling that no were good behold because authorities say I am rich become wealthy in need of nothing and do not know that you are wretched wretched miserable poor blind and naked without would I would submit to you their big problem with not being miserable poor blind and naked there that probably is not realizing there were miserable poor blind they and they were self-defeating to think that everything was okay when rates were increasing goods were fine over the Council 's numbers eighteen I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire did you may be rich and white garments you may be clothed it is shame of your nakedness may not be revealed and anoint your eyes with eye sets of the you may see which is worsening blight of being blind and thinking you can see dangerous and that is why he's speaking this way as many as I love I rebuke and chase therefore be zealous and repent him of being a father I now think about this text more than I used to I get these the thing about being a son being a father you know this is tempting to the with the world considers loving his lessons that go everything is fine the crisis I don't want you to be blind and think you can see I want to show your problems like exit says behold those whom I love I rebuke and Jason discipline is not an unloving thing Jesus Christ does it because he loyalties therefore be zealous and repent behold I stand at the door knock if anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come in to him and dine with him and he with me the same promise Barak was not the same promises given to this unfaithful churches was given to every other one to him who overcomes I will grant to sit with me on my throne as I also overcame and sat down with my father on his throne and interesting by the way introduction for next week 's message I think I'll allow you to consider my own as I sat on my father 's noble when did that happen with Libby talked about in Revelation five if you did most of the chapter 's revelation in with an introductory statement to the next thing with numbing in the book here Jesus invites to him who overcomes I will grant to sit with me on my throne as I also overcame and sat down with my father on his throne the same way I came here I want to bring you here to what you need to repent repent or see you as an e-reader but in here with the church spirit says to the churches and thus we come to the end of the first three chapters of Revelation again there is much more than we could dive into but I wanted to lay this framework and show you something interesting not too long ago we study for the book of Daniel and if you recall the book of Daniel we've asserted the book of Daniel the book of Revelation are parallels that they work together and they're both prophecy books dealing with the second coming of Jesus and both of them I want to show you something are written in a very similar almost identical fashion for example again in Daniel chapter two the first prophetic chapter in the book of Daniel Nebuchadnezzar is given a dream correct it is the dream of what an image a statue of man right in the in the images there into one image from had to tell one solid thing but it's giving up into different body sections right had just not the only down to the right and it is a Rockland and smashes it in the rock represents the second coming of Jesus will establish his kingdom notice Daniels dream had one solid thing it had different sections divided up into the outline of the timeline of Earth 's history from the time of Daniel until the second coming of Jesus Rex and then stop and talk about the head of gold he told Debbie Debbie said you are that head of gold this property start right here right now the kind which were speaking Daniel Smith Nebuchadnezzar but after you another kingdom after that another kingdom will come and he goes through a sequence of events all the kingdoms would write the same time but this one than this one this month this went all the way sequentially chronologically until the second coming of Jesus you see the same thing in the book of Revelation Asia this Asia minor was one territory is divided into seven different churches in the letters and what each one but they went on this one this one this one for this one and you see as you walk through these letters you see a trajectory of history from the time of John the things which are good signs that must take place culminating with the second coming of Jesus in the same way that Daniel chapter two becomes the skeletal structure of the rest of the prophecies of Daniel is any notice given in Chapter two gets repeated over and over again in chapter seven is basically reinterpretation of the end of chapter two which is using different language to say the same thing at same sequence Babylon media Persia Greece Rome without I don't know how many times I've said those names in a row Babylon Persia Greece Rome but it starts with the same structure that gives more detail in more detail as it goes along you can find the same thing happens in the book of Revelation they were the Daniel has two and seven eight nine ten eleven twelve here you can have the seven churches is to go back and cover the same area with seven seals the seven trumpets of which culminate at their seven with the coming you have the same prophetic publicity same prophetic interpretive methodology the way you understand prophecy in the book of Daniel same thing you do in Revelation if you do the large big sweep of the three gives you framework the context and then it repeats and enlarges on particular areas of concern that God will highlight does that make sense praise the Lord the burden of this first message was to show you a few key things under one revelation is all about Jesus Christ I hope we made the patently clear Jesus is the is the one giving the message all the way to be centered and we did before in five surprise surprise at all about Jesus right the whole thing is about Jesus is a message from Jesus about Jesus leading up to the coming of Jesus it begins in the time of John is sequentially goes chronologically through history and it culminates with this coming of Jesus and this becomes the framework the span of history the book of Revelation covers from the time of the last prophet of the Bible John the second coming of Jesus and beyond we see that in this book but it's been a notice repeat the history though it does but it starts adding more detail towards the end of history the time in which were living the book was written for our admonition upon whom the ends of the ages Revelation is not a thing to be afraid of it was given to us as a gift by Jesus Christ himself revealed to us Jesus Christ for those words especially those which were living in the days we were go to see Jesus face to face I'm absolutely convicted in my very heart during my lifetime I will see Jesus alone to it is incumbent upon wherever Jesus is in his work following their imminent media was brought by audio errors in
