A New Look

In honor of our 5th anniversary, we've launched a whole new website design!

For well over a year, we at AudioVerse have been wanting to update the design of our website. We didn't only want to tweak some images and add some new features. We wanted a new, modern look that would keep with the growth our website has seen lately. However, we've been so busy keeping the ministry running and bringing you top-quality materials that we couldn't find the time.

Until now, that is. In honor of AudioVerse's 5th anniversary last month, we determined we could wait no longer! We had lots of ideas and we received many more from you. By far, the number one type of feedback pointed out that it was becoming harder and harder to know what materials to listen to. This quickly became the main focus of our design, affecting it in several ways.

First, we overhauled the Topics section by making it hierarchical. Instead of a flat list of 600 or more topics, we now have less than 30 top-level topics, but with finer detail the deeper you browse the tree. We've also been working at reducing redundancies and making our topics more intuitive. Second, we created a prominent navigational toolbar that emphasizes the main areas of our catalog that we expect you will be interested in. Third, we made the Search feature more prominent and fixed some underlying problems in how it decides which results to show.

We are also happy to share that we now have a Twitter account. Follow @audioverse!

There are many more improvements besides this. You'll have to explore the website to appreciate them fully. Some areas are still a work in progress, such as further massaging of the Topics tree and enhancing the Search feature. Thank you for your patience and continued feedback.

Plus, we have some additional features that we plan to introduce in the coming months. We don't want to spoil the surprise here, so stay tuned.

Aside from the functional enhancements, you'll note a completely new and vastly improved graphical design and styling. We owe a debt of gratitude to Jonathan Wold and CJ Doss at Sabramedia for their friendly self-sacrificial help, their excellent design talents, and their many ideas for improving the usability and functionality of our website. We thank the Lord for His providence in bringing us together for this project.

Happy listening!
