Welcome to the Seed Pod for beginners. I'm Ms. Ashley, and I'm so glad you are here with me today as we sing and learn about God through nature and the Bible. Ebony Ebony's. Father, please bless all the boys and girls who have joined us today. Help us to learn so much more about you and come close to Jesus. We pray in Jesus name. Amen. I'm so glad God woke me up for another day, aren't you? Every day of life is a gift from our Heavenly Father. Let's sing. This is the day. This is the day. This is the day that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made. We rejo, we rejoice and be glad in and be glad in. This is the day Lord has rejoice glad. I love to see trees. Maple trees are so beautiful and pine trees smell really good. What happens when the wind blows on the trees? They sway. Let's sing that. Trees are gently swaying, Are gently sway. Trees are jetway showing. God is love. Trees are jetway, are jetway showing. God is loved. We are gonna play a guessing game. I'll give you hints then you guess what it is. Are you ready? I am a huge animal that lives in the ocean. I like to sing. I have a blow hole. My name rhymes with tail. What am I? Did you guess a whale? That's right. I am a tiny little bird. I fly like a helicopter. I have green, blue, and red feathers. I make a humming sound. What am I? A hummingbird? Last one. I live in the water. You can find me in an ocean, a stream, a lake, or even in a tank. I lay eggs. I have fins and scales. What am I? Did you guess? A fish. That's right. I'm a fish. These three things God made on the fifth day of creation, they are birds and fish. Our Bible story is about how God created our world. Dear Jesus, thank you so much for the stories in the Bible. Please help us to listen carefully. In Jesus' name, amen. The very first part of the Bible is so special. It tells us how Jesus made our big, wonderful world. Jesus made mommies and daddies, mountains and oceans, giraffes and puppies and frogs, and He also made you. Yes. God made you too. How long did it take Jesus to make our world? Hmm? Only six days. Can you show me six fingers? Okay. Hold them up. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. That's it. God made our whole world in just six days. Now let's find out what Jesus made on each day. Close your eyes. Can you see anything? Close them. Oh, you can't see because it was dark. Well, it was dark when Jesus first began making our world, so on the first day, hold up one finger. He made the light. Now open your eyes. On day two, Jesus made fresh air for us to breathe. Can you hold up two fingers? Now? Take a deep breath. You are breathing the air Jesus made on day three. Hold up three fingers. Jesus told land to come up out of the water. Then Jesus made grass and flowers and trees grow up on the land. He also made lots of yummy foods for usy. Eat apples, oranges, peaches, grapes, oats, almonds, all kinds of yummy healthy foods for us. On day four, hold up four fingers. Jesus made the sun, the moon, and can you guess it? They twinkle up in the sky. That's right. He also made the stars. Sunshine keeps us warm. It also gives light to our world and helps flowers and trees to grow. Jesus also made the stars in the moon to give us light in the night. Ask your mommy and daddy, maybe you can go look when it's nice and dark outside and you can see the twinkling stars and the shining moon on day five. Okay, all five fingers. On one hand, Jesus made animals that swim and splash in the water like the fish in the whales. He also made birds that fly through the air. You like birds. Maybe you see robins and blue jays at your home. Now, our world was almost ready for people to live in it. Next week, we'll find out what Jesus did next, It's memory verse time. Our Bible verse is from Genesis one, one. It goes like this. God created the heavens and the earth. Okay, so now when we say God created the heavens, I want you to take one finger and point up to the sky, and then when we say the last part and the earth, I want you to take your hands and make a round ball shape with your hands like you're tracing the earth with your hands. Okay? Are you ready? God created. Don't create it. The heavens. The heavens and the earth. And the earth. Genesis one, one. Genesis one, one. Let's pray together you fold your hands. Yes, and repeat this prayer with me. Dear, dear Jesus. Oh Jesus. Thank you. Thank you for the beautiful world, for the beautiful word and all and all the pretty things. The pretty things in it.
