The Gold Standard

I hope you enjoyed whatever you did between when we left and now.

We thank God for his ongoing mercies toward us.

Let me say something that may bring a cloud over your brow.

Between the end of this morning's service And now, all over the world, thousands of people died.

God gives us more time not for us to continue to offend Him, but that we may see the error of our ways and draw closer to our Savior.

And so I thank God for sparing my life between then and now.

And my commitment to Him is to present the truth as clearly as I possibly can so that the truth presented may do its work in the lives of those who receive it honestly and who commit themselves to live by its precepts.

Who is with us now who was not present this morning?

What happened to the morning's congregation?

Is there anyone with us now who is not a Seventh-day Adventist?

All right, so I can just stand right here if I want to okay Anytime you meet Except for board meeting and business meeting invite somebody Is this microphone working What did Jesus say to the church in Matthew 28, 18?

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Go ye therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have suggested.

Now, this is a command to bring people to the truth.

Anytime you meet, 1 of the most effective soul winning strategies is a simple invitation.

It does not require an advanced degree from Loma Linda or any other school.

It does not require any online continuing educational experience.

Just say to a friend, a colleague, a family member, or an enemy willing to listen, would you come to this meeting?

I was in Tanzania several years ago for an evangelistic campaign and I went looking for a gym to work out.

And the local elder and I, who went looking for this gym, we found 1, and we went in and the receptionist was at the desk, a lovely young lady.

I told her, tell him, I told him to tell her why I was in her country and I wanted her to come.

I was in Uganda, the pearl of Africa as a Winston Churchill called it.

For a similar purpose, I was in my hotel, I came down to the lobby for some unknown reason, I saw a young lady, all evangelists are very nosy, so I started talking to her.

And I said, you know, what's your name, why are you here?

She was a member of the army, She was protecting a diplomat in her room upstairs somewhere, but she was off duty and a fellow female soldier was on duty in the room.

And I told her, I said, I want you to come.

She said, I'll come, but I have no transportation.

I said the car that picks me up at 530 will pick you up if you were in this lobby at 530.

Is there a cemetery around here somewhere on a, is it, what road is it?

Do you know how many people are in cemeteries because a friend said come and do this?

Do you know how many people are in jail because a friend said, let's do that?

Let's use the same energy and say to a friend let's go to a service.

We need the mindset of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Their whole life is evangelism, not just in the summer, their whole life is evangelism.

I didn't mean to do that, I just wanted to suggest a very simple, cost-effective way to bring people into the church, just invite them.

Teach your children to invite their little friends.
