When your heart is aching, turn to Jesus.

He's the dearest friend that you can know.

You will find him standing close beside you, waiting peace and comfort to bestow.

Go to Him today, Do it now without delay.

Jesus understands whatever trouble, and he waits to heal your wounded soul.

Will you trust his love so strong and tender?

What a comforting thought it is to know that not a sparrow falls to the ground without God's knowledge.

Question, What did Jesus mean when he said so many times, it is written, it is written?

The answer is that Jesus was referring to the Holy Writings or Holy Scriptures as we call them.

Jesus referred to the Holy Writings or Scriptures of the Old Testament.

He quoted them as divine authority As we see in Matthew 4, verse 4 and verse 10.

The New Testament was not yet written when our Lord was on earth.

Speaking of that which was written up to that time, namely the Old Testament, he said, The scripture cannot be broken.

Jesus gave us an example of absolute faith in the written Word of God.

Question, why do so many call the Holy Scriptures a revelation or a divine revelation?

The Scriptures are a revelation to man from the Lord.

In Deuteronomy 29, verse 29, it is written, Deut.

29—The secret things belong unto the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong unto us.

The scriptures are the revelation of God in the words of men, even as Jesus was the revelation of God in the flesh of man.

Listen to this word as written by the Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 3 16.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

This being true, should we not read, study, yes, search the scriptures as Jesus said, For in them we find eternal life revealed.

John 5.39 Dear Sir, do you really believe that Jesus Christ will actually be seen again in this world?

Here is your answer in John 14.3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also.

And again in Acts 1.11, This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Last of all, from the book of Revelation, chapter 1, verse 7, Behold, He cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see Him.

So here we have an answer straight from the Word of God.

Many people today believe that when a man dies, that's the end of everything.

The hour is coming in the which all that are in the grave shall hear his voice and shall come forth they that have done good unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil unto the resurrection of damnation." That's clear and right to the point, isn't it?

Question, if Christ does return to this world again, do you think He will come without some warning or announcement of it.

There shall be signs in the sun, in the moon, in the stars, and upon the earth distress of nations with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring, men's hearts failing them for fear.

And then shall they see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

I hear you make so much of it, but it is hardly mentioned in the Bible.

Well, my answer is that on the contrary, we have hardly mentioned it over the air, though it is fully discussed in our free Bible correspondence course.

And as for your suggestion that the Sabbath is hardly mentioned in the Bible, we find the fact to be just the opposite.

According to my research, the word Sabbath in both its singular and plural form is found at least 168 times in the scriptures.

108 times in the Old Testament, 60 times in the New.

In the Old Testament, the word refers to the weekly Sabbath called the Sabbath of the Lord 77 times.

The remaining 31 times it is used in reference to the festival days and Sabbaths of the land.

In the New Testament the Sabbath of the Lord is mentioned 59 times, and those local Sabbaths which expired by limitation and ceased at the cross are mentioned only once.

By the way, 1 of my friends in London has just written that Dr.

Shivasi, Bishop of Rochester in England, has made the revolutionary suggestion that Sunday schools might get better attendance and solve the problem of teacher shortage by changing to Saturday schools.
