Show Me Your Receipt

Father in heaven, I have come at your request to minister to your people, dear God, under the guidance of your Spirit.

I submit myself to your will and to the guidance of your spirit.

My desire, dear Father, is to glorify your name by the truth and to be a blessing to your people.

Father, let the truth find a welcome in every mind and let everyone who receives the truth be changed by that truth.

If there are others still on their way, Bring them safely under the escort of your mighty angels.

Give them divine wisdom, dear God, that they may indeed be your instruments of administration in this country.

Now, wherever your people are worshiping you today, bless them we pray to God, and somehow unite our hearts as 1.

I'll try to release you by 12, no later than 12.15.

Genesis 1, reading from verse 1, our subject, show me your receipt.

I'm reading from the King James Version of the Bible.

The Bible says, in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.

And darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light, and there was light.

And God divided the light from the darkness, and God called the light day, and the darkness he called night, and the evening and the morning were the first day.

We are informed in verse 1 of Genesis 1 that God made the heaven and the earth.

Question for you, what does the Bible mean by the heaven and the earth?

Let's take a look at that expression and see what we learn.

Let's go to Matthew 28, reading verse 18.

It's a passage of scripture we ought to know.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me.

Question for you, is there a place where Jesus Christ does not have power?

All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

This verse announces God as the creator and therefore the owner.

Let's go to Genesis 14, we shall read from verse 18.

I just made a statement that God is not just the creator, he is the owner of heaven and earth.

In that chapter, Lot has been captured by 4 kings from the other side of the Euphrates River.

Abraham is informed, he gets his armed servants together, he goes after the armies, defeats them, and brings Lot back, plus all the other inhabitants that were captured, and all their possessions, and all their goods.

Verse 18, and Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, brought forth bread and wine, and he was the priest of the most high God.

And he blessed him and said, listen carefully, Blessed be Abram of the most high God.

Melchizedek recognized the God of Abraham as the possessor of heaven and earth.

The king of Sodom said unto Abram, give me the persons and take the goods to thyself.

And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted my hand unto the Lord, the most high God, keep reading, the possessor of heaven and earth.

God, who made heaven and earth, is the possessor.

He is the rightful owner of heaven and earth.

Colossians 1, reading from verse 16, Have you found it?

For by him were all things created that are in heaven and that in earth.

Remember, when you read the Bible, read it as if God is literally talking to you.

For by him, that's Christ, were all things created that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers, All things were created by him.

And for him, the universe belongs to the creator and everything in it.
