Through God’s Eyes

Our loving Father in heaven, we come into your presence, dear God, because you have invited us in Hebrews 4.16.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace.

Jesus Christ invites us in Matthew 11.28, Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

If you've promised rest, you'll give us rest.

And the rest we need is rest for our souls, rest from the terror of sin.

As we come into your holy presence, dear God, through the blood of your Son, wash away our sins, cleanse us, dear God, and give us that peace that exists between us and you when sins are removed.

I ask you to grant us your spirit that he may guide and direct us as we listen to your word.

Speak through me their God that the words I speak may be words from your throne.

Bless those who are visiting with his father.

May they be so blessed that they will come back.

Bless this country, Lord, as I pray for my tonight.

We're happy to have our conference president.

Bless him, give him wisdom from above that his leadership may take this conference higher and higher and higher.

Thank you for the joy of freedom of worship.

I pray in Jesus' name, let God's people say, amen And amen.

I exhort therefore that first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for all that are in authority, For kings, not for kings, and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.

This is good, a quiet and a peaceable life in all godliness and honesty is good in the sight of God.

Now, a quiet, peaceable life may not be good in the sight of someone who loves to go to the bar, and who loves to party, and who loves to engage in all kinds of revelry.

A quiet, peaceable life may not be good in that person's sight.

But the Bible says a quiet and peaceable life is good in the sight of God.

Peter and John have been arrested and charged with preaching Christ.

They had been forbidden to preach Christ.

But you cannot be forbidden to preach Christ.

You must disobey that law that tells you, thou shalt not preach Christ.

And so They preached Christ and they were brought to the Sanhedrin.

And the Sanhedrin leaders said to them that they should not preach or teach in the name of Jesus.

But Peter and John answered and said, verse 19, whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye." Peter and John are saying, look, we can listen to you or we can listen to God.

But in God's sight, if we listen to you, how would God view that?

If we listen to God, how would He view that?

Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, that if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wise, while they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear." In other words, Peter is saying to women who are godly, married to men who are unconverted, the way you win that man is to live a faithful life.

So when he says, if any obey not the word, any unconverted husband, they also may, without the word, without the word there means without nagging from the wife, be won by the conversation of the wife.

The Greek word for conversation means lifestyle.

While they behold, while the husbands behold, your chaste or your upright life, coupled with fear, the fear refers to respect for him as your husband.

So Peter says, women, if you're married to unconverted men, here's how you try to reach that man.

Don't bother him, don't nag him, don't keep telling him, come to church.

You live an upright life and respect him as your husband.

Let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair and of wearing of gold or of putting on of attire Peter says The beauty of woman is not what she puts on the outside But let it be verse for the hidden man of the heart in that which is not corruptible even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price." Now there are 2 things Peter mentions.

Let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair and of wearing of gold or of putting on of apparel.

Peter says, what comes with God is not what you put on the outside, in your ear, your nose, your fingers, your ankles, wherever people put whatever they put.

But let it be, verse 4, the hidden that's on the inside, man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God, is of great price." So next time you go down to the store with the money God gave you, And you want to buy things to decorate the outside, you ask yourself, is this right in the sight of God?

Now, many things are right in the sight of men.

There are some tribes where it is fine for a man to have 3 wives or 4 or 6.

That's why someone who comes to God, really comes to God and surrenders the life is an entirely different person.

There are only 2 perspectives in this life, through God's eyes or through Satan's eyes.

Or for Satan's eyes, you can say my eyes.

There are only 2 perspectives available to you and me.

God's perspective and the devil's perspective through God's eyes or through Satan's eyes.

It's either right in God's sight or you do it from the devil's sight.

Isaiah 55, verses 8 and 9 are subject through God's eyes.

I didn't ask the time, my handsome brother, what time is it?

Ah, you'll be finished by 8, or I'll be finished by 8, unless I'm impressed to do otherwise.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways Higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts Now there is no greater distance I imagine than the distance between heaven and earth and God says as high as the heavens are from the earth So great is the distance between the way God thinks and the way we think?

Having said that, we read another Bible verse.

Can 2 walk together—finish that verse—except they be agreed?
