Father in heaven, thank you again for this special time.

Lord, our prayer is that we would be equipped.

Father, we want to know how we can better serve you.

We pray that only the good, the practical, what you meant for us would remain.

Father in heaven, we also pray and ask that the Holy Spirit would bless us in an incredible way during this special Sabbath day.

And thank you for calling us out here today.

All right, the name of the seminar is called The Art of the Christian Conversationalist.

Now here's things I want you to understand.

I found out probably literally maybe 1 hour ago that this seminar, the first 1 is 90 minutes.

The second seminar is 90 minutes as well.

So hopefully we're going to get out early.

I just don't want to destroy your brain for the messages later on.

So we're just going to keep it very brief, short, sweet.

We'll have a time of dialogue and we'll go from there.

The honor of the Christian conversationalist, part 1.

Every person born into the kingdom of heaven is called to be a what?

To share the gospel whenever, wherever, or excuse me, whenever, wherever, and however possible should be the burden of every child of God There are individuals all over the world praying seeking and yearning for more light Because of this the Lord has given you a precious capability to share wonderful truths about him.

Some of you are using it right now while I'm speaking.

Every person possesses 1 and through the Spirit of God it can be used to bless, build up, and ultimately better someone's life.

Likewise it can be used to discourage, denigrate, and destroy someone.

The question is, how will you use this special capability?

This seminar is designed to teach some practical tools and tips in being a better Christian conversationalist.

So whether you find yourself in the church, coffee shop, classroom, or wherever in the community, you can be a powerful avenue of light.

So 5 reasons to be a Christian conversationalist.

Why does God want us to be a Christian conversationalist?

Someone who engages other people, talks to other people.

By the way, where does God actually command you to preach the gospel?

I'm sorry, I thought I was talking to a group of Seventh-day Adventists.

Where does God command you to preach the gospel?

Number 2, God uses human beings as his primary agent of communication rather than what?

Friends, it's not shepherd that produces sheep, it's sheep that produce sheep.

The reason why God wants us to witness is because it has a very sanctifying influence upon ourselves When we share with others we ourselves are blessed we grow as a result of it Amen 1 of the reasons why I got I believe that God called me to be a pastor or an evangelist because it keeps me really out of a lot of trouble.

There are people sincerely seeking for hope.

God wants you to be a witness to them because there are people all over the world right now yearning to understand the things that you understand.

And the last 1, the value of a person saved for eternity.

Now you know what's so interesting, I was preaching a sermon on this a few months ago and I talked about only in light of eternity can we truly value the worth of a soul.

You know I lost my dad in the year 2000 and it was after that moment that I realized how precious were those opportunities spent with my father.

It's only when a person is gone that we really recognize, man, this was such a important time.

Friends, only in the light of eternity are we gonna recognize, man, when a person is lost.

I mean, there is no other resurrection after this so that's why God gives us this special opportunity to share the gospel through conversation through dialogue through talking and through this seminar hopefully we'll be able to have some tools to make us more equipped to be able to do this.

Now, everybody take your Bible, and we are going to the Gospel of John.

Now, if you have your Bibles, put your Bibles in the air right now, and look to the person who doesn't have the Bible with a judgmental look.

I want you to go next to that person, and I want you to open up the Gospel to John chapter 4.

And what we're going to do for a couple minutes, not a couple minutes, maybe a few minutes, I want you to take a good look at the story that's found in John chapter 4 starting with verse 1 all the way to verse 26.

I want you to turn to the person next to you.

If they don't have a Bible, please share with them and spend some time reading through that story and talking about that story.

And I wanna hear some insights that come from just your dialogue and conversation.

You have permission to talk about the story.

John chapter 4 starting with verse 1 all the way to verse 26.

What did you discover about the master conversationalist?

What is 1 insight you discovered about the master conversationalist, Jesus?

So Jesus saw that she was drawing water from the well, so she asked her a question that would be very relevant at that time, so give me some water.

So that's a good way to start a conversation.

What's another insight you discovered, yes?

He listened to the part about the water to revert it back to the eternal water.

So he used it in a way that he could actually talk about the gospel, but just merely talking about water first.

Lord, we pray that you would give us your heart.

May that love for souls grow more and more, God.

And whatever career we have, God may our number 1 desire is to see souls saved for the kingdom.

Thank you for the promise of the Holy Spirit.

By the way, I want to thank that person who gave me this.

In India, there are maybe 1 or 2, maybe not too many actually, senior care homes.

Dementia is just not really there in India.

All right, The art of the Christian conversationalist, part 2.

Just a reminder again regarding the 5 reasons to be a Christian conversationalist.

Preach the everlasting gospel, every nation, tribe, tongue, and people.

Number 2, God uses human beings as his primary agent of communication rather than angels.

By the way, 1 thing that's really enjoyable is actually sharing the gospel.

Can you raise your hand and testify to that?

When you get to share the gospel with somebody, there's just this special joy that you don't get from anywhere else.

1 of the day, 1 day I had 1 of the most irritating mornings, and I went to go drop off some clothes at the dry cleaner.

And I began talking to the lady who was working at the counter, and she was like, where do you work?

And she's, oh, and we began talking about God.

She said, how did you become a Christian?

And for about 5 minutes, I gave a quick testimony of my life.

And when I just got into that car, man, I felt so good.

People all over the world praying, yearning, pleading for the truth that we have today.

And the value of a person saved for eternity.

Alright, The Bible tells us something interesting.

It says this in Revelation chapter 3, the last message to Laodicea, it says this, "'Behold, I stand at the door and what?

"'Knock, if any man hears my voice and open the door, ' "'notice this, I will come in to him and will?' "'Sup with him.' "'Sup with him and he with what?' "'Me.'" Me.

The very last call to Laodicea's God is saying, look, I wanna come over and have dinner with you.

I wanna come over and have a meal with you.

When you actually study out the life of Christ, it's very interesting.

You'll discover often 1 of the most amazing and effective ways that he reached out to people was to have a meal with people.

You know, when you study out the Jewish economy in the Old Testament, there's certain days out of the year, there was about 7 days out of the year in which all of Israel was to come together.

And it's something like we have today when November 25th where we celebrate Thanksgiving right all the family comes together you have a special meal and there's a time of fellowship so these 7 times out of the entire year God would call all of Israel to come together and have a meal together.

And during that time they would be eating together.

Jesus, the Bible tells us about Jesus, the master conversationalist, The 1 who knew how to reach souls, spent time eating with people.

And what we're going to discover with this seminar today is that we can actually use the time that we sit down and eat with people as a means of being a powerful witness.

When I was in Pakistan on a mission trip, we were visiting the Adventist seminary that was there.

We decided to go to this place where my dad was born.

You know Pakistan India used to be 1 country before the partition in 1947.

The English when they left essentially told the Muslims, they said, look when we leave the Hindus are going to dominate you and so all the Muslims were like, hey no no no we can't have that happen.

And so they all wanted their own country and so Pakistan, which means pure, was formed.

My dad was actually born in that region before the partition.

I come from Punjab and that's what my family speaks.

When we're in Pakistan, you can go to the very birthplace of Sikhism.

I also come from a Sikh background as well as a Hindu background.

It was actually being renovated and we decided just to do some sightseeing.

So we went there and they had this huge wall and in the midst of this very Islamic epicenter This Sikh temple was there and so we decided to do some sightseeing and we met this old Sikh man.

And while he was taking us a tour around the grounds of where Sikhism started, he said something to us.

We're like, no, no, we're okay, we already ate.

Where there's no food, there's no temple.

In other words, he equated worship with God by eating a meal together.

Now if you think I'm a little bit crazy I want you to take your Bible and go to Psalm 22.

I'm going to show you something interesting about the very special messianic Psalm, Psalm 22.

The Psalm that most clearly describes what the Messiah would go through, Psalm 22.

You're going to see something quite interesting.
