The Apple of His Eye

Dear God, I did not seek this invitation, you sent it.

Then having put your hands on me for this assignment, I'm asking you, Father, with great respect, but with a sense of desperation, Help me to do what you sent me to do.

First of all, forgive me where I have offended you.

Give me a hatred for sin and a love for that which is right in your sight.

Jesus said in John 6.63, The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.

So help me to restrain my opinions and just present, thus saith the Lord.

Father, I do not know what is in the hearts of the people sitting before me.

Someone may have turned me off because he or she doesn't like my shirt or my suit or my color or whatever.

I just don't know but you know because you know Father, you cover me by directing my thinking and my speaking.

Now bless every person under the sound of my voice and a double blessing on their children I pray.

In Jesus' name let God's people say amen and amen.

The subject of this evening's message will be given in the middle of the message.

We shall let you find a comfortable seat somewhere before we begin to read so no 1 is distracted.

What about the chapter that talks about the death of Moses?

Love to see children in the house of God.

Always make sure they are aware the Word of God is preached.

The same way they pick up evil, just like that.

They can pick up what's right, just like that.

Genesis 1, reading from verse 1, the Bible says, In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God divided the light from the darkness.

And the evening and the morning, finish the verse, were the first day, the first 1.

In John 8, 12, the Bible says, Jesus speaking, I am the light of the world.

He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Light in the Bible symbolizes among other things, life.

John 1 verse 4, in him was life, and the life was the light of man.

And so on day 1, God made something which he subsequently used in his word to represent eternal life.

And he tells his people, the same way I am the light of the world, John 8 12, ye are the light of the world, of course reflecting the light of Christ made on the first day.

The Bible says, and God said, let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters and let it divide the waters from the waters and God made the firmament and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament and it was so and God called the firmament what heaven and the evening in the morning finish the verse where the second day We have 2 days.

Psalm 19, verse 1, the heavens declare the glory of God.

And the firmament, the heavens declare glory and the firmament showeth his handiwork.

What was made on day 2 is filled to capacity with evidences of the goodness of God.

Light on the first day, representing eternal life, representing Jesus Christ himself.

The firmament on the second day, it is filled with the goodness and the majesty and the evidence of God's power.

Let's look at day 3, verse 11 of Genesis 1.

And God said, let the earth bring forth grass, The herb yielding seed, and the fruit yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself upon the earth, and it was so.

The same 1 who said, let there be grass, let the earth bring forth grass, who said that by the way?

It was Christ who said, let there be light, let there be, let there be all the way through Genesis 1.

Jesus Christ is the Creator and the same 1 who said, let the earth bring forth grass.

Here's what he says in Matthew 6 verse 13.

Wherefore if God so clothed the grass of the field, which today is and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you?

So Christ points to grass as having a relationship with God.

If God so clothed the grass of the field, Ellen White writes in Bible Commentary Volume 1, page 1081, paragraph 4, I believe it is, she says, God has given his life to the vines and the trees of his creation.

If God so clothed the grass of the field.

Also on day 4, he made trees, vegetation.

We know there's a tree of life from which we will eat when we get into that new world.

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night.

And let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years.
