Lift up the trumpet and lovely. Jesus is calming again. Cheer up pil dreams. Be joyful and Jesus is calming. Again, This is the voice of prophecy, a voice crying in the wilderness of these modern days. Prepare ye the way of the Lord. Call me again, call again. Again. From our voice of Prophecy Studios in Los Angeles, California, we welcome you to this half hour of inspiration. Today you'll hear the music of the king's heroes, Dell Delker and Brad Braley. We've enjoyed meeting so many of you personally this summer, but there are thousands we haven't met. We wish we could meet you too. We hope that all of our friends will remember that we meet you. And now our message, Dr. George w Truitt, the well-known minister and evangelist, was being entertained at the home of a wealthy oil man in the state of Texas. After dinner, his host took him up to the roof of his palatial house to see the huge forest of oil derricks on every side. Dr. Truitt, that's all mine. 25 years ago I came to this country penniless. Now I own everything as far as you can see in that direction. Then he turned to the opposite direction and said, it's all mine. I own everything as far as you can see in that direction. Turning to the east, he made the same statement, finally turned to the west, pointed to a great virgin forest and said, that's all mine too. I've worked hard and saved and today I own everything as far as you can see in every direction. The multimillionaire paused for expected praise. To his astonishment, it didn't come. Dr. Truit laid a hand lovingly upon his shoulder pointing word, said, my friend, how much do you own in that direction? The man dropped his head and said, I've never thought of that. Everyone is looking skyward heaven word's space word today, though not all for the same reason. One of the greatest newspapers of this century uses a headline world's fate to hinge on man's use of space. Scientists tell fateful choice facing nations war limitless benefits. The author declares that man's invasion of space is tomorrow's cradle of fantastic new human Bos. Better weather forecasting, even control of weather or the threat of using weather as a terrible weapon to destroy enemies. The secrets of the stars of the moon and of the sun may be made known or space as tomorrow's battleground of savage silent war. Since there is no atmosphere there, there would be no sound. Even when great explosions took place, the writer speaks of possible war between space, ships and rockets swirling at dizzy speeds. Eminent scientists, American, British, Russian, French and others predict that men will fly in space aboard space cruisers or platforms circling the earth from these same platforms. Warfare could be conducted with lethal missiles, aim down at any spot on earth with deadly accuracy, great telescopes, abor. These artificial satellites could gaze clearly into space for vast distances. The same telescopes could appear down on the earth skies. Spies, observing every troop or airplane or rocket movement. TV attachments could make the watching automatic for continuance surveillance. Germany's professor Herman Oberth foresees gigantic mirrors hung in space focusing the sun's raises by magnifying glasses at any desired intensity. Thus, the suns rays could light entire cities at night or disperse, killing frosts over orchards, melt Atlantic icebergs, even icebound seaports or as a military weapon. These rays could set a fire. Whole cities and fourths. What is there that men do not aspire to do? Sputniks and us satellites, the scientists declare are peaceful enough but at the same time our messengers to learn what space is like how it could be used in time of war. The great question is, is the space above the earth destined for peace or war? The decision is said to be political. There may be only a few years left and so on and on goes the debate just how far man will go. We do not know. We are told that after the great flood in Noahs day, which changed the surface of the earth, by the way, this whole world was of one language. This contributed greatly to unity of action, planning and exaltation. In fact, they decided to build a gigantic tower whose top may reach unto heaven as the scripture says, Genesis 11, four, God had instructed the race to scatter itself abroad upon the earth. They said No, we'll build a city and this mighty tower and let us make us a name lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. Verse four, with one language, one ambition, one government. They evidently felt that there would be no limit to their accomplishments. In the sixth verse we read and the Lord said, behold the people is one and they have all one language and this they begin to do. And now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Are we not in a situation something like that? Today though we do not have one language, we do have one civilization which is rapidly spreading over all the earth. One philosophy. The philosophy of natural science. Is it not the belief that nothing is too hard for the human race if it but sets its mind to it and unites in doing it? Have we not reached the place now where millions believe in a constant increase of knowledge and infinite progress? Is it not true again, that whatsoever man can imagine man can do, has become the philosophy governing the earth today? It seems so men are not satisfied to be masters of the earth alone. They desire also to master space and the heavens beyond does not mankind need to learn humility today? God knows our down sitting and our uprising. Psalms 1 39, 2. The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord. Proverbs 21, 1 of all true believers, it is written, we are thy people in the sheep of thy pasture. Psalms 79 13, mankind has been given the earth as his own. The kindergarten of the great university of the universe, the earth has he given to the sons a man, but the heavens are thine the earth also speaking to God. Psalm 89, 11 Man's rulership over this earth will continue as long as it pleases the Lord. He will go as far in space as God permits him to go. His divine decree will go forth as the waves of the sea hither. Two shallal come, but no further Job. 38 11. The scripture uses the word heavens for space. That is the atmospheric heaven surrounding the earth. In some places in scripture, this is called the firmament or the expansion, a very good name for the atmosphere which causes the changes of temperature by its expansion and contraction and many other important phenomena. Next comes the heavens of the stars, the stellar heavens, planetary heavens, the heavens of the moon son. The island universe is third and last is the heaven of God's throne, the great center of the universe, the heaven of heavens. Psalm 1 48, 4. But will man build a floating platform in the sky, a small city in the sky? We cannot say that scripture plenty describes a space city in the skies here in Revelation, the 21st chapter and I, John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorn for her husband. What a sight it will be from any spot on the earth. It will appear to fill the whole hemisphere of the sky from horizon to horizon. A reading verse 16, we learned this city is at least 1500 miles in circumference, 350 miles on each side. The city in her beauty is called the bride, the lamb's wife. Verse nine, John says it second time as if for emphasis, he showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God and her light was like unto a stone. Most precious, the beauty of it and the glory of it hanging there in the sky are beyond our imagination. In a mind's eye. We can see it moving majestic, descending out of heaven from God. The space city of all the ages, it does not stay in the sky, does not float in some orbit about the earth. It's coming to the earth. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, behold the tabernacle of God is with men and he will dwell with them and they shall be his people and God himself shall be with them and be their God. That's the wonder of it. God's city, God's space, it in the skies is to be the capital of this earth. Renew the new Jerusalem. When the Savior went away from this earth, he said, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you under myself. That's John 14. This city from the sky is the place prepared the city which has foundations whose builder and makers, God. Hebrews 11, 10, stop worrying. Begin wondering, looking, longing, hoping, trusting. Someday you'll see God's space city in the sky and by his grace have a place there. Two people were walking along a road in the suburbs of great city. Really wasn't a road, just a muddy path. After a storm, their shoes were almost ruined. Hats dripping, water closed, soaked, still a mile or so many shelter. Of all the bad roads I ever saw in my life, this is the worst the man ex claimed. Oh, looks said. The girl, as she pointed to a far off scene smile, played over her face there under the rain, voice sky, the towering buildings and gleaming roofs to the city lay like a picture in a soft, clear afternoon sunlight. Isn't it beautiful? She exclaimed on this muddy road too. Friends, it's like that in this world. That's the spirit. What do we see? God's space city in the sky coming or the evil and the mud and the storm about us. Let's look in the right direction for someday. God will give us more than a glimpse of that city. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death. Neither sorrow nor crying. Neither shall there be any more pain. For the former, things are passed away And there is no shall. There's no, no, no. Sunshine bright the city four.
