Present Truth in the Sanctuary

Session 1: Importance in the Sanctuary

Our loving Father, which art in heaven, we want to thank you so much that you have taken care of us the way you have.

You have brought all these people here from all different places, Father, to be here on this campus this weekend.

And I want to Thank you for the messages that are being presented and the different classes that are going on right now.

I just ask that your Holy Spirit will not only be in this room to guide and direct what is said and done here, but also be in the other rooms to give the people that are there and that are giving the lectures, give them the words to say, and exactly how to present the message.

And let those that are listening, Father, get something that will help them grow spiritually.

Okay, as you will see that The topic is going to be on the sanctuary.

Now, the sanctuary is, in a way, something that I got mixed up with back in the early 1990s.

Just kind of give you guys a little update because I want to show you how important the sanctuary really is.

I mean, the sanctuary is so important that you should know for yourself how you can give the reason for what you believe through the sanctuary Christ is doing right now in the heavens above.

You should not rest until you understand the topic for yourself.

These are quotes and I'll read some of them to you in a little while, but I just want to share with you that the sanctuary was just an idea.

And just so you get an idea of how it began, it was back in 1994 is when the sanctuary, the pastor that I was working with, set up just the furniture and he went out to the desert where there was a camporee, a Pathfinder camporee.

So there was about 3, 000 Pathfinders gathered around the furniture that he had there.

And he had a white rope where you see the curtain today.

And the pastor was dressed up in the high priest's garment, and I was the sinner with the lamb, and we went through the process, what took place in the sanctuary.

Pathfinder-aged young people sitting all out there were listening and paying attention to what was going on.

So therefore, when I saw this, I said, wow, what power the sanctuary has over the young people.

And that's when I decided that I would like to do a full-scale model of the sanctuary.

So with the church there, we did a full-scale model.

Now listen carefully to this, because this will mean something to you today.

When we set it up, we built it at Del Mar.

When we set it up, it wasn't long, and people were just coming through.

They were very interested in the sanctuary, but they were just basically interested in the historical part of the sanctuary.

They wanted to see a full-scale model of the sanctuary.

There wasn't a whole lot of other interest that we found when we were setting it up.

I used it with the church for 2 and a half years, and we went to Washington, D.C., set up on the mall there in Washington, D.C., and then it wasn't long after that, we took it to Fredericktown, and then we basically...

Actually, I got called away and moved to Oklahoma.

And the sanctuary continued on with the church for a couple more years.

And I got wind of that And I was at this school in Oklahoma, and I was asking the pastor that I was working with, I'd like to have the sanctuary so I can use it the way we intended for it to be used.

And so the Lord worked it out, and several miracles took place to put it into my possession.

And so when the Lord worked it out, I set it up for the first time about 6 years ago.

The very first exhibit that I set the thing up, this pastor comes through the exhibit and he comes to me and he says, Clayton, I want to show you something.

He takes me out to his car, unlocks the trunk of his car, and he pulls out this picture of the candlesticks and sets it beside his car.

And he pulls out another picture of the altar of incense and sets it beside it.

He starts pulling these big pictures out of his car.

And he says, for the last 3 years, every Sunday, for church, I've been sending them out there and I've been talking about the sanctuary.

Well, that's very interesting to me because I happen to know that the sanctuary message was something that the Adventist church talks about and that's not something that's so commonly talked about in other churches.

So this kind of excited me, the fact that somebody else was studying the sanctuary.

As he talked to me, several other people actually came up to me and said the very same thing at that exhibit.

I've been to 60 exhibits, and the very same thing's happening today.

Everywhere I go, people are telling me, and I'll just tell you the most recent.

Myrtle Beach, this exhibit was planned 2 years ago.

They canceled it and postponed it to this year.

And there was somebody else wanting these dates.

They called the pastor And they were thinking about the possibility of switching dates.

And they worked it out where the pastor says, no, we're going to keep the dates that we have at Myrtle Beach.

There at Myrtle Beach, this particular week is the Feast of Tabernacles.

Now the Feast of Tabernacles is the seventh feast that you find in the sanctuary.

The 7 feasts, the last 1 comes right after the Day of Atonement.

Of course, we're living in the Day of Atonement today.

So the Feast of Tabernacles is yet 1 to be celebrated in the future, okay?

This fulfillment is yet to come into place.

So here you have this particular exhibit fell exactly on the very days the Feast of Weeks are.

Therefore, hundreds of people are coming to Myrtle Beach and they are coming there because they want to celebrate the Feast of Weeks.

I'm sorry, I keep saying the Feast of Weeks.

They're coming to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles, and while we've been there, about two-thirds of the people that have come to the exhibit, they've been coming because they've came because of the timing that we have there on Myrtle Beach.

That's God's hand, by the way, because these people are traveling from all over the world, all over the United States, I should say, to this exhibit.

And so therefore, I can say this, that God designed us to be at Myrtle Beach at this very, very time.

That's the way the sanctuary has been ever since we began.

The reason why I'm telling you this is very important because I want you to turn to your Bibles to Revelation chapter 10.

It's nothing like seeing prophecies unfold before your eyes.

Basically this is the time where the little book, Daniel sees the little book in the angel's hand.

And he said, it's going to be in your mouth.

But in the stomach it's going to be what?

And so he goes up and it says here in verse 10, and I took the little book out of the angel's hands and I ate it.

And as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter." All right, we know that that was dealing with the disappointment in 1844.

You see, there were people around the world that really thought Christ was coming in 1844.

Let me give you, let me just paint the scene for you real quickly here.

There was no church called the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

These were people that were made up from all the other churches.

They were going around and different people around the world were proclaiming the very same thing at the very same time.

Session 2: Symbolism in the Sanctuary

Our loving Father, again, as we spend this, just a moment of time that we have here together, I just pray, Lord, that your Holy Spirit will reach into our hearts and talk to us.

Let us see the importance that we, things that we need to see.

Guide us now as a group and all over this campus, Father.

Okay, I'd like for you to open your Bibles to the book of Matthew.

Now, what I want you to see is how the sanctuary really is a thread that runs through the scriptures.

And if you understand the sanctuary, the scriptures that you are reading will make more sense.

You remember when Jesus says, beware of false prophets?

He says, there will be people who will come and do things in His name and this sort of thing.

And He says, not everyone who says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven.

Okay, You find this recorded in the book of Matthew chapter 7.

It says, Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

And the reason I want to bring this out is this, because this...

You will find that the ones who do God's will are going to enter the kingdom of heaven, right?

So here we have this statement being made.

Then it goes on to say, Many will say in that day...

When you see the word, that day, you have an idea what it's talking about.

Yeah, that lasted the very end that day many will say in that day, right?

He'll say this Lord Lord Have we not prophesied in thy name?

This is what's really, really interesting.

Do you know that the 2300 days is a prophecy?

Do you know that we prophesy when we talk about it?

He says, many of you will say in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?

And in thy name cast out devils, and in thy name done many wonderful works.

And then will I profess unto them..." Now by the way, These 3 words are the saddest words.

Because we're talking about people who are doing God's work, right?

And they're going to say, I never knew you.

And so what I want to share with you is this.

It says, depart from me, Ye that work iniquity.

Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine and doeth them will I liken unto a wise man which built His house upon a what?

That should already open your mind to many different things.

There were the wise virgins and there were the foolish virgins, right?

So the wise virgins are the ones that receive the Holy Spirit, right?

What do you think about when you think of a rock?

What do you think about when you think of a house?

Who that does the will of mine will I liken unto a wise man that built his house upon the rock...

See, when these things start to take place, what happens to that house that's on the rock?

That's the 1 who listens and does the will of the Father.

But he goes on to say, but the foolish man is 1 that does what?

Brothers and sisters, the sanctuary message is all through the Scriptures.

He's the same everywhere, yesterday and tomorrow.

The scriptures that I just read to you here tells you and I, as a sanctuary, we better make sure we're founded upon the rock.

Because there's going to be the time of trouble, is there not?

And that time of trouble comes, and the winds descend, and the floods come, and the winds blew, and beat upon the house, and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock.

Foolish man, the rain descends, And the floods come, and the winds blew, and beat upon the house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.

Okay, we're not going to read what you think we're going to read.

Now this 1 here is describing His second coming.

Now by the way, if you want to do a study, study of Matthew, look at all the parables He's given.

They're all talking about His second coming.

You get a rounded picture, guys, of what it's going to take.

They're all saying the same thing, but in a different way, so you can understand it better.

Then the Son of Man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with him, that...

Then shall he sit upon his throne of glory, and before him shall be gathered all nations...

Session 3: Present Truth in the Sanctuary

Our loving Father, the subject that we are discussing is holy ground.

And the information that we are covering is very sacred to you.

It is talking about your plan of salvation.

It's talking about how you're going to take us from this sinful, dark world and take us to heaven.

I just pray, Father, that you will open our hearts, that anything that's said and done here will have been to your honor and glory, and we will have a closer walk with you because of it.

Okay, the subject that we're going to talk about at this point is a very, very controversial subject.

This subject that we're going to deal with today is so important to you that it could represent whether you are in the kingdom or not in the kingdom.

Now if you notice in the last couple of seminars that we went through already, We talked about the path back to God's throne.

You and I need to be on a path that's making ourselves correct.

For instance, you're dirty and you need cleaned up.

The way to clean you up is to filter you through the sanctuary system.

You need to be filtered through the sanctuary.

If you had mud, water mixed together, you want pure water to drink, right?

You filter it until you get to the point where it can be drunk.

Remember I told you that Lucifer used to sit beside the Father.

He used to have the place in the most holy place.

In fact, let me go ahead and bring that picture up now.

Now remember, that's the condition that you want to end up in.

You can't get there unless you get cleaned up.

You live in the time the Day of Atonement is actually taking place right now.

You see, God knew from the beginning Who would be alive in this day?

And so He's chosen His vessels to be ready for this day.

You see, God does not take any pleasure in the destruction of the wicked.

So He has a chosen race, a chosen generation, and a generation which is going to finish that last stand for God.

What is it that you would not do for God?

And the only way you know how is He's showing you how, because you don't know.

You see, Jesus came and He died in a time where the world was really wicked, right?

But He's also got a chosen generation that's living in the worst conditions of the world.

And we make all kinds of excuses to keep hanging on to sin.

So this is why this truth is so important for today.

In fact, this truth is what we call, and what Ellen White calls, present truth.

Present truth is what you need when you, for right now, it's present truth, right?

We will never be in the kingdom if we don't do what God has called us to do.

You were called to be the chosen generation.

Do you not know the army of youth needs to be what?

So apparently there's some things that maybe you don't know yet, right?

Now, I'm going to tell you, give you an illustration.

Remember, remember Daniel, no, I'm sorry, David.

He wanted to be the 1 who built the sanctuary for God, right?

Now David was a man after God's own heart, we told, right?

For the day David lived, David was doing what God asked him to do, right?

We don't run around killing people today, do we?

But yet David did that and was still considered right with God.

Nathan the prophet says, you can't build it, because you're a man of war.
