True education is not academic excellence.

And in that way, he says I'm not qualified to represent the students, but he's actually representing the students very well, that the system is, no, I'm not anti-education, I'm not a disruptor, I'm not down with the high school system, arise and the proletariat shall become, I'm not saying that, but I'm saying, is it possible that we have been brainwashed by the systems of society that erodes the original purpose that God has put in humanity?

Even in the concepts for education, and this is where campus ministry gets really, really, really, really, really real.

Campus ministry isn't just like, hey, and it's totally cool if we do this because we hang out on campus and do the eating games thing, but it's infusing God's purpose not and only in Christian students, but in all human beings the way God originally intended.

And then I love what Alex said and what he kind of mentioned.

And I know we're isogening a little bit of what he's saying, but he's talking about true education.

How many of you go through school and you're a part of campus ministry, but, and please don't raise your hands, and I don't mean this in an accusational way, but how many of you are campus ministry leaders because it looks good in your resume and to get you into a master's or a doctoral program or to get, you know, whatever, whatever purpose, or how many of you are doing campus ministry because it's just a thing to do or trying to find a social circle?

I'm not trying to make you feel guilty, but the original purpose of campus ministry is to fulfill your purpose in life.

Dare I say it, even your purpose of going to that University.

Like you are here this weekend, not this week, you've been here a week, you're here this entire week, not just to be trained and then to go back.

It's not that education is central and then campus ministry is peripheral.

Hopefully you've come here this weekend and you've realized, man, campus ministry is central.

And getting a BA or a bachelor's in science or an M or a D or a QXYZ is peripheral.

So in Philippians chapter 3 is where, where if you can turn to Philippians chapter 3, and while you're turning to Philippians chapter 3, I'm gonna read you education page 15.

Education page 15, I think this is just, this has just blew my mind, where like brain matter is like on the wall.

You're opening your phones and you're like, ooh, I got a message from Facebook.

When Adam was created, physically he looked like God.

So, later on, The author says here, I mean, she talks about, we'd be shocked about when we find 3 things.

1, if we originally knew how high humanity was, we'd be shocked.

Second shock, she said, we'd be shocked if we realized how much we fell because of sin.

And then she'd be shocked, through Jesus, how much would be raised up again, we'd be shocked.

That whole process is called the fall, the fall and redemption of humanity, we'd be shocked.

But Right now we're just like, oh yeah, we used to be kind of good, yet Adam was kind of like, you know, he looked like Brad Pitt, you know, and Angelina Jolie was like, you know, that's kind of like the Caucasian-centric world that we live in and he had a six-pack and, you know, whatever.

And then, yeah, And then when he sinned, he just became, he's a bad guy, you know.

And then he said to Jesus, and now he's just kind of okay now.

But no, he looked like God, he thought like God, he was spiritually like God, and after sin, I mean, he just was, yeah.

You have to keep reading, I'm stuck with it.

It was his purpose that the longer, now get this, get this, get this.

The longer man lived, the more fully he should reveal the image of God.

Now if you get this, that's the whole point of the message today.

There's something called static perfection and dynamic perfection, static righteousness and perfect righteousness.

And many Christians, did I say it, many Adventists, get stuck in static perfection.

You wake up in the morning, it's like 05:00, ding, I woke up really early today, 50 points.

Wake up, you get a green smoothie, 50 points.

And then you know, you read the Bible, you memorize, you know, the Old Testament, and then you go out that day.

You see a homeless person, you give them some money, you know, 9, 000 points, do-do-do-do-do-do.

Then there's some days where you wake up and it's like, you wake up and it's, oh man, it's 10 o'clock?

See a homeless guy and I get out of here, get a job, you know, whatever, and you don't call your mom, and you read Facebook instead of the Bible in the morning.

And she's like, wow, you just described my morning, like, whoa.

So we play these games, yes or no, in our minds.

And sometimes we put cultural systems upon us, especially for those of us who are from immigrant backgrounds, yeah?

And we put even merit to studies, we put merit to relationships, and then for those of who are avanist, we put merit on diet, yes or no?

Yeah, I'm like, yeah, a little bit of cheese is fine, oh, it's chicken broth, it's fine, this is oxygenarian, it's only have oxygen in it, it's pure oxygen, purified with help of filters, And at the end of the day we feel guilty sometimes like oh man today I just watched YouTube for like 9 hours, and I just don't do anything with my life.

So you go online and you watch UIC videos for like 9 hours to compensate for the YouTube videos for 9 hours.

Or you read spiritual books or you call your mom for the first time in 9 years.

And it's a very, very, very dangerous, disruptive, deadly form of spirituality that many, many students go through.

And it's this belief in a static perfection.

Now, she says here that Adam, when he was created, was perfect.

And then the intention was the more he should live, he'd be even more what?

The standard is actually, and for all of us, it's different stages and that stage isn't even really a stage, it's just this trajectory that we're on.

Mathematic major, it's the slope being positive, not negative.

The more fully reflect the glory of God, all his faculties were capable of development, the capacity of vigor will continue to increase throughout eternal ages.

He would have continued to gain new treasures of knowledge to discover fresher springs of happiness, to obtain clearer, yet clear concepts of wisdom, the power and the love of God.
