So today, you all should be veterans and near pros at giving Bible study.

Today, we're going to be talking about the Millennium, which is a very exciting prophecy, maybe 1 of my favorites, because it's very simple and easy to understand, but it's also very exciting.

So we're gonna be doing a slightly different format than the little papers you've had.

I split it up into 3 questions and put each of the verses that go under each question there for you.

So if you wanna just write on the blank side of your paper or do whatever you can, that's there for you if you need it.

So to start a Bible study, it's good to kind of grip your audience and start out with a question or something to involve them.

How many of you have wondered or maybe have thought, okay, well, Jesus is coming, he's gonna take us to heaven, then what?

Then what, are we just gonna live forever?

But the Bible teaches that there is some, a very important process that happens after Jesus comes, and it's called the millennium.

The millennium is a word that just means thousand years.

And this prophecy is taught in Revelation, and there's a lot of different beliefs and theories, kind of crazy, kind of wild, that are taught and believed out there.

But today, we are just going to be looking at what the Bible teaches about the millennium.

We're going to be kind of teaching slash I'll give you the Bible study.

Father in heaven, we thank you so much for your word and the clarity we can receive through it, that you have given us prophecy that we might know beforehand the things that will take place, so when they do come to pass, we may believe.

Lord, please send your Holy Spirit to speak through me and to speak to the minds of everyone listening that we might receive wisdom, that we might be empowered and equipped to give this Bible study to those who are seeking after truth.

Okay, so today we're going to talk about what happens next.

Jesus comes the second time, what happens next?

What events happen at Jesus' second coming?

What events occur during the 1, 000 years?

And what events occur after the 1, 000 years?

3 simple questions, that's what we're gonna be looking at today, and we're gonna break it down.

The purpose, if you do wanna fill out the purpose on your little sheets is to show that the millennium takes place after the second coming.

There is a lot of confusion out there on this topic, so we're gonna make a point that the millennium takes place after the second coming.

We're also going to show that this period, this 1, 000 years, has a purpose.

The purpose is, it's for judicial review and vindication of God's character.

Judicial review and vindication of God's character.

Those are our 3 purposes for the Millennium Study.

Okay, to show the Millennium takes place after the Second Coming, so Second Coming, then Millennium, that it is a period of judicial review and it is a vindication of God's character.

And we will be looking at those texts, but this is just an overall summary.

And then the center it part of your little papers there, during the millennium Christ will bring the great controversy to an end.

And you have covered the great controversy, that's 1 of the very first topics we talk about with our Bible study contacts, so they should understand that.

So during the millennium, the great controversy will be brought to an end.

And you can tell that to your contacts with lots of excitement, so they will also be excited.

Number 1, what events occur at Jesus' return?

Let's go to the book of John, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, chapter 5.

Marvel not at this, for the hour is coming in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice and shall come forth.

They that have done good unto the resurrection of life and they that have done evil unto the resurrection of damnation.

There's a resurrection of life and a resurrection of condemnation.

On the same subject, we're still looking at what events occur at Jesus' second coming.

Acts 24, 15, we'll have a volunteer read that nice and loud for us, quickly.

Having a hope in God, which these men cherish themselves, that there shall certainly be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.

There will be a resurrection of the righteous and the wicked.

So from these 2 verses, we are learning that there are how many resurrections?

1 Thessalonians chapter 4 verses 16 and 17.

We can have a volunteer read that for us.

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

Okay, so in verse 16, it is talking about the dead in Christ.

That makes sense, dead in Christ are the righteous.

When you are giving a Bible study, feel free to involve the person you're giving Bible studies to.

No 1 likes to just sit there and be preached at.

So the more questions and the more ways you can involve them like I'm going to be involving you, the better, the more they'll get it and be excited about what you're studying.

So the dead in Christ or the righteous will rise first.

This implies that there is a, still a second resurrection to come, right?

And who would those, What resurrection would that be for?

I heard you guys went over Revelation 20 last night with Daniel a little bit.

Revelation 20 is the chapter on the millennium, so we're gonna be here quite a bit.

You can either mark it or keep your finger in it or memorize it.
