The Power of the 3 Angels Messages

In the Court of the Creator: 1st Angels Message

Good afternoon All right, we'll get right into this because I know we Maybe a few minutes behind The next 3 messages I present each will represent each of the 3 angels messages So today will be the first angel's message.

And I ask you to pray for me today, because I know the enemy is really messing with me today.

So I'm asking for you to pray even as I pray.

Our scripture is, I'm gonna read our scripture, chapter 14, starting at verse 6.

The scripture says, and I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth.

To every nation and kindred and tongue and people, saying with a loud voice, fear God and give glory to him.

And worship him that made heaven and earth and the sea, the fountains of water.

Our message this afternoon is entitled, In the Court of the Creator, the first angel's message.

Let us pray, Father God, I ask you now Lord to once again make me just a nail upon the wall, a rusty, sorry nail Lord, but upon that nail Lord I ask that you hang a portrait of Jesus Christ.

Let Eric Walsh not be seen or heard today.

Instead, Father, let us hear a word from the throne room of grace.

This is our prayer in Jesus's precious and holy name.

This is 1 of the great passages of scripture, Revelation 14 in its entirety, the whole chapter.

We are well aware that really probably the most unique doctrine to us is the sanctuary message.

And actually we heard Professor Weiss speak on that just over the last couple of nights.

But 1 of the other ones that is really, at least relatively unique, and someone can tell me after if there's another denomination that does this, or another group that does this, is the idea that the messages of these 3 angels in the book of Revelation, in chapter 14, needs to be given to the entire world.

The scripture says in verse 6, and there are 4 lessons to get out of this passage of scripture, these 2 verses.

John says, I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment is come.

And worship Him that made heaven and earth, and the sea and the fountains of water." 4 lessons, and I'll give them to you up front, And then we'll go through each 1 of these things.

The first 1 is that the gospel is everlasting.

And we'll get into that, but I wanna say that not only is the substance of the gospel everlasting, but the consequences, the results of the gospel are also everlasting.

Number 2, all people are to receive this gospel.

The Third, the hour of His judgment is come.

So whatever time this message jumps on the scene, at that time, the judgment will begin.

And we learned last night—that's good, I can skip this part—last night we learned it—this happened around 1844, around that whole movement of time.

And in 1844, Christ moved into the most holy place, in the heavenly sanctuary.

So the hour of his judgment is come, right now.

He's gonna judge the world and is judging the world and you must worship him because he's the 1 who created everything.

Eloite says this in the book from Here to Forever page 235 she says, the first angels message of Revelation 14 was designed to separate the professed people of God from corrupting influences.

In this message God sent to the church a warning which, had it been accepted, would have corrected the evils that were shutting them away from Him.

Had they received the message, humbling their hearts and seeking a preparation to stand in His presence, the Spirit of God would have been manifested.

The church would again have reached that unity, faith, and love of apostolic days when the believers were of 1 heart and of 1 soul and when the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Now let me tell you something, 1 of the consequences that happened because the first angel's message was not fully received by the Christians in the world at the time to whom it was preached is that the church itself was weakened.

She goes on, Eloi says, an angel represents the exalted character of the work to be accomplished by the message and the power and glory that were to attend it.

The angel's flight in the midst of heaven, the loud voice and its promulgation to every nation and kindred and tongue and people give evidence of the rapid worldwide extent of the movement as to the time when it is to take place, it announces the opening of the judgment.

When this gospel jumped on the scene, it spread rapidly.

It is the most extensive message to have been preached.

What we as Adventists have is in more countries, as we just learned last night, than any other denomination.

Only the Catholic Church really does any job in keeping pace.

In these countries, we have, in many of these countries, we have schools, the second largest parochial school system in the world, as well as hospitals, the second largest hospital and healthcare system in the world as well, all claimed by Adventists.

Now here's where the numbers get incredible.

I'm not sure that there are even 30 million Seventh-day Adventists.

God has been aiding this work and it has had a great impact because of that work.

And understanding these simple but relevant truths is imperative if we are to finish the work that is to be done.

So the first lesson, the gospel is everlasting.

Verse 6, and I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel, to preach unto them that dwell on the earth.

First, the gospel starts with some bad news.

The bad news is according to Romans 3 and verse 23, all have sinned and done what?

And have fallen short of the glory of God.

Not 1 of us in our own merit is right with God.

You know, I have occasional drink maybe, but I'm a good person.

The stain of sin which comes from our sinful nature is upon every 1 of us.

And it goes on because Romans 6 and verse 23 tells us that the wages of sin is what?

The bad news that the wages, in other words, when you say wages it means that the salary, the payment, The reward for sin is death.

When you live a sinful life and you are willing to reject the free gift that God has for you, what you're saying is, I want a paycheck.

And I want that paycheck in its amount, in what is written on the line where the value of it is.

Let me tell you something, every day, all day, with how we think and live, we are investing.

Either we are investing into eternity with God or we are investing into damnation forever.

The good news, because that's what the gospel means, the gospel means good news.

The good news, Romans 5, 8, but God demonstrates his own love for us in this while we were yet sinners, what happened?

I've learned to apply this to my own life because, you see, I'm a sinner.

And there were times, even though I knew better, I intentionally walked into sin.

I remember coming home from college at Oakwood, Adventist school, very spiritual school at the time with great preachers like C.D.

Ward and all of these great preachers, Benjamin Reeves.

I went to school with guys who could preach.

The Collapse of Confusion: 2nd Angels Message

Revelation chapter 14 and verse 8 is our scripture reading, and it reads, And there followed another angel saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication." This is the second angel's message and this message is entitled, The Collapse of Confusion.

Father God, we thank you Lord for this opportunity to study your word.

Once again Lord, I ask that you just make me a nail upon the wall, a rusty sorry nail, Lord.

Upon that nail Lord, I ask that you hang a portrait of Jesus Christ.

Let Eric Walsh not be seen or heard today instead, Father, let us hear word from the throne room of grace.

The first 1, if you go back to its original meaning, actually means the gate to the gods.

This goes all the way back to the Tower of Babel and what they were trying to build, you remember?

But then, because God confounded the language, Babylon also became tied to the word confusion.

In fact, to this day in English, if someone talks in a way that you cannot understand, you say that they babble.

Because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

When you look at this, the wine then would be false doctrine, fermented doctrine, something that should have been good that has now gone bad and causes damage.

The wrath in the Greek is a word that means with great passion, with great passion.

So she had them drink of this with great passion.

The wine of the wrath of her fornication, the twisting of things, the mixing of things together that don't belong together.

Now, so as we said last night, the original story is here.

Belshazzar, Daniel says to him, he had not humbled his heart, though he knew all of this.

If I had time, we'd go through the story, but he knew that his grandfather, Nebuchadnezzar, had been driven mad, and for 7 years, he ate the grass of the field, grew out his hair, he grew long, his nails grew into long claws, and for 7 years, he was out of his mind.

Nebuchadnezzar is 1 of the few pagan leaders, if maybe not the only pagan leader, in all of the scripture who is converted to worship the 1 true God.

This is why the punishment on Babylon is so great, because his grandson knew better and did not do better.

And so, of course, he had lifted up the glass of the vessels and he'd praised the gods of silver and gold.

And look what Daniel says, And the God in whose hand thy breath is and whose are all thy ways hast thou not glorified.

That's why Babylon falls, because Babylon refused to be humble.

Daniel 5 goes on to say, then was the part of the hand sent from him and this was the writing was written meaning meaning Tichel Upharsin interpreted meaning God has numbered the kingdom and finished it.

Tichel you are weighed in the balances and are found wading.

The kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and the Persians.

So this story parallels to the 3 angels' messages because judgment comes in the first angel's message, right?

And then Babylon falls in the second angel message, and almost an exact parallel.

In fact, 1 of the interesting things about this story is that there are 3 times in the Bible that God writes.

The first time God writes is in the 5 books of Moses.

What does God write with his own finger in tablets of stone?

The Bible says that God writes the 10 Commandments with his own finger into tables of stone.

By writing it in stone, it is a statement that the 10 Commandments are permanent.

When I was in archaeological digs in Israel, they would pull up pieces of stone and you could still see the inscription.

I remember once they showed us a site at, there was a time when people were questioning whether or not King David ever existed.

And we went to a site and they were able to show us that from the ground they pulled up a piece of stone or whatever it was, and on it was the inscription Dawid.

And because the rocks cried out, we were able to prove that David actually existed.

So the first time God wrote, He wrote the 10 Commandments in stone.

It is fixed because the 10 Commandments were written in stone.

The second time God writes is in this story.

And in this story, He writes based on the judgment of the 10 Commandments he wrote the first time, but this time he writes in plaster, not as permanent as stone.

The judgment is written in plaster and a finger comes out of nowhere and writes on the plaster above the wall mene mene tekel ufarsin.

He's judging based on the first time he writes.

Now look at this, because I like the third time God writes.

The third time God writes, a woman is taken completely naked and she is thrown down at the feet of Jesus.

And they say to Jesus, Master, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery, in the very act.

And they say, listen, this woman, according to the scripture, she should be stoned.

They want to now judge her based on the first time God wrote.

Don't let the anti-Trinitarian folk fool you.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word what?

The Word was God, and the word was made flesh and did what?

So when the woman is laying there, Jesus does not even give a counter argument.

He dips down into the sand and the dirt of the ground, and Jesus begins to write again with a finger, he begins to write all the sins of the men accusing the woman.

The Bible says that from the eldest to the youngest, they begin to slip off.

You know, Jesus say, that's right, Rabbi so-and-so was caught doing this, and this, can you imagine?

They got busted and they began to slip away and Jesus wrote all of this in the dirt, in the dust, in the sand of the ground.

Eventually everyone, even the crowd was afraid and disappeared.

The Bible doesn't even mention the disciples after Jesus writes their sin in the ground.

He and the woman, the scripture says, are left alone, and Jesus says, woman, where are your accusers?

Jesus's words to her are words that we need to share with each other as a church.

First thing, Jesus is not looking to condemn you for what you did wrong.

But then the second line is just as important.

The first time God writes, he writes in stone, immutable, unchangeable.

The 10 Commandments should not be altered.

The second time he judges based on the first time and he writes with a hand in the plaster above the wall.

But the third time he writes sin in the dirt of the ground.

Because with just his foot, Jesus can wipe the sin away.

Marked for Death or Sealed for Life: 3rd Angels Message

We have been going through the 3 angels messages at night and in the morning to some extent and so we're going to wrap up today with this 1.

Our scripture reading is taken from Revelation chapter 14 starting at verse 9.

Revelation 14 verse 9 says, And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation.

And he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb." Our message this Sabbath morning is, this Sabbath afternoon is entitled, Marked for Death or Sealed for Life.

Father God, we thank you Lord for this opportunity to share your word.

1 last time here in Botswana, Lord, I ask that you make me just a nail upon the wall.

And upon that nail, Lord, I ask that you hang a portrait of Jesus Christ.

This is our prayer in Jesus' precious and holy name.

All right we're gonna get right into this thing.

We're gonna go right back to Revelation 14 verse 6.

And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven.

This is the first angel's message we talked about 2 days ago.

Having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth and to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people.

Saying with a loud voice, fear God and give glory to him for the hour of his judgment is come and worship him that made heaven and earth and the sea and the fountains of water.

From this we said there are 4 great lessons from the first angel, 4 lessons, critical lessons.

Around the time of 1844 this message was proclaimed with great power.

It is the message that allows the separation and the collapse of Babylon in the sense that Babylon's lying, deceptive ways were revealed when in fact biblical truth was released into the world and men rejected it.

So the lessons, number 1, the gospel is everlasting.

We talked about the gospel, righteousness by faith.

The Bible says that the just shall live by faith.

But that faith without works is also what?

Christianity in the pure biblical form is different from every other religion in the world because you cannot work your way into salvation.

If you study some religions, I talked about how you can get to nirvana, you gotta work your way into nirvana, but if you fail, you get sent back to the beginning as a bug, like a slug or a roach or something, and then you got to work your way all the way back up.

And I don't want to be a roach, I'm gonna stay a Christian, amen.

All people are to receive it, and we talked a difficult subject around race and race relations.

I gave my testimony of how I myself became a black racist, and what God had to do to liberate me from hatred of other people, and the idea that based on my skin color, I was better than someone else.

The hour of his judgment has come, the unique Adventist doctrine, the pre-Advent judgment is the third lesson, and of course, worship him because he created all things and so we we talked this week a bit about the lie of evolution and that if man had kept the seven-day Sabbath Darwin's evolution would never have had been able to get a foothold on earth The consequences of evolution is we have stripped man, especially these younger generations, of all moral compasses, and now in America, for example, we have people walk into places and just shoot up everybody.

But the second angel comes in in verse 8 and says, and there followed another angel saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all the nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

She corrupted the world with false doctrine.

And when we went to Revelation 18, we found that she was a political, religious, and economic power.

And part of her economic power, in fact, was the sale of slaves and the souls of men.

And I walked you through how it is that the Catholic Church and then followed in suit many of the Protestant denominations pretty much all except the Quakers and then actually went against slavery but uniquely according to the book Slavery and Catholicism uniquely the Adventist Church even before it was formally organized was always against slavery in the United States.

And that was 1 of the ways I show you the sign of who Babylon is.

But we're gonna jump to the third angels and to set up the third angel we got to go back to 4 other angels.

Yep, Revelation 7 and verse 1 says, and after these things I saw 4 angels standing on the 4 corners of the earth, holding the 4 winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

The Bible says that there are 4 angels, and they are holding back the winds of strife.

When I was at Oakwood, and some of the great preachers would preach on this, they spoke about these winds being a lot of different things, a lot of different ways, but 1 of the things that always stuck with me is that the winds are literally the consequences of sin entering the world.

God, as terrible as the world is, God has been holding back from allowing the full weight of the consequences of sin to destroy the planet.

These angels work tirelessly, as it is, to hold back destruction.

1 preacher said, but it seems like sometimes they open their hands up too wide and some of the wind slips through.

Because we have these things, and I showed you this earlier in the week.

This is the war that happened in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Some reports say as many as 5 million people died.

It was called Africa's Great World War with all of the factions that joined in.

And I want to tell you that in America, it didn't even make the news.

Here's a graph I showed earlier in the week of all of the shootings that happened in America.

And this is a little bit old now because we have so many that you can't even keep up anymore.

If you look at it, it is increasing in frequency.

In fact, I told a story of how I took care of 2 of the victims from the Las Vegas shooting.

1 was actually shot, 1 was running and broke her ankle and ran a mile on a broken ankle.

And she came to see us in our clinic in California.

And I could tell you that this thing is for real.

But I also quoted where Ellen White says, listen, when we see these things happening, we as Christians are not to panic.

Instead, we should hear Jesus' voice say, do not be afraid, it is I.

There are warnings telling us that Jesus is about to return, amen?

And I even showed this 1 from the US Geological Society of earthquakes between magnitude 6 and 8, and it shows that in fact, just as Jesus says in Matthew chapter 24, there will be an increase in earthquakes in diverse places.

I show these slides for the purpose of helping those who are still wondering if they can trust their Bible to know the Bible is exact.

Jesus says that 1 of the signs will be an increase in earthquakes and in fact, and they would be everywhere, a secular group would tell you that in fact that is true.

So the 4 angels are holding back the winds of strife and another angel, a fifth angel, jumps on the scene.

This angel, John says, I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God.

And he cried with a loud voice to the 4 angels to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea.

And this is what he said to those 4 angels.
