Greetings again and welcome to part 5 in our last day events explained series.

We have covered a lot of ground already and I'm excited about our presentation for today.

We are going to be covering the little time of trouble and the corresponding issue of country living, so I'm excited about that.

Before we get into that presentation, I just have a couple of questions we're going to address.

1 person asked that as they were reading in Ellen White's writings about Satan impersonating Christ, they saw that he will be able to heal the sick of their diseases and wondered how that would be possible.

Well, Ellen White also makes it clear that Satan brings the disease on and then he removes the disease and so he doesn't actually heal the way God heals, but it does appear to be a supernatural manifestation.

Remember Revelation 13 says that fire will come down from heaven on the earth on the side of men meaning that there will be Supernatural manifestations that will make it appear that God is on the side of this false religious movement And so that's an important factor to consider as we're looking at what's happening with last day events.

There's a lot of good questions that have been coming in and again there's so many good questions that have come in we're probably going to reserve a time towards the end to address more of the questions but if you have a question especially as it pertains to what we're talking about in these presentations, you can send your question to contact at audioverse.org.

So let's bow our heads and ask the Lord to be with us.

Father in heaven, we thank you for this day.

We thank you for the opportunity and the privilege that we have to be alive at this time of Earth's history.

And so Lord, I just pray that as we go through this topic today that we would gain further conviction and clarity of understanding for the times that we are living in and that we would follow the work that you have given us to do.

May the presentation be clear and may we be found faithful when you come, I pray in Jesus name, Amen.

So we are going to start now on the presentation of the little time of trouble and we're going to get into some issues pertaining to country living as well towards the end of this talk.

So the little time of trouble is perhaps a bit of a misnomer.

We know of Jacob's time of trouble, and we're gonna talk about that in a later presentation of this series.

But the Little Time of Trouble is, as you're going to see as we go through this presentation, not so little.

It's going to be a very trying ordeal, and it's a time of trouble that leads up to the great time of trouble.

And it's actually a term that Ellen White never used.

It's a term that we as Seventh-day Adventists have used because we know of Jacob's time of trouble or the great time of trouble.

So if this time of trouble isn't as bad as Jacob's time of trouble, then the term that has been used is the little time of trouble.

But it's not really so little as we're going to see in this presentation.

So let's go ahead and look at some things.

Now I borrowed this slide from off the internet and it's a pretty good depiction of what we can expect.

And you see on the far left hand of this slide the national Sunday law that begins in American.

We saw last week that that will eventually become international and when the national Sunday law begins that's when the latter rain and the loud cry happen.

The latter rain is poured out, the loud cry is given.

We're going to talk about that next week in fact.

And as the loud rain is poured out, the loud cry is given, we see the sealing of the 144, 000, the blotting out of sin.

This is the judgment of the living, and the Sunday Law crisis escalates.

And as we saw 2 weeks ago that there are the 4 stages to the Sunday law Which culminates with the death decree which then?

Initiates Jacob's time of trouble on the 7 last plagues just before Jesus comes back So that chart is a pretty good overview.

And of course, leading up to the national Sunday law, there will be calamities that will precipitate the national Sunday law.

And you know, again, I'm not making a prediction here, but it's things like what are happening right now with this COVID-19 pandemic and the civil unrest that we've seen, that if things continue to escalate, those are the type of calamities that could trigger a Sunday Law that could then lead to the next phases.

Now, going back to this chart here, this area in here between the national Sunday law on the closer probation is The area of time that we call the little time of trouble This is the time when the loud cries been given the latter rain has been poured out the judgment of the living has taken place.

You have the first 3 stages of the Sunday law that are going forward.

That's the period of time that we call the little time of trouble.

So we're going to look at some statements now that set the stage for us to understand this a little bit more clearly.

Now, I've read the statement before, but it's such a good statement that helps us to understand what's coming.

This is manuscript releases, volume 13, page 394.

Troublesome times are before us.î Now you can make a case sheís referring to the time of trouble there.

ÌThe world is stirred with the spirit of war.

Soon the scenes of trouble spoken of in the prophecies will take place.

The prophecy in the eleventh of Daniel has nearly reached its complete fulfillment.

Much of the history that has taken place in fulfillment of this prophecy will be repeated.

In the thirtieth verse a power is spoken of that shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the Holy Covenant, so shall he do.

He shall even return and have intelligence with them that forsake the Holy Covenant." And again, she quotes all the way through verse 36 of Daniel 11.

I'm just going to read verse 31 a little bit beyond.

Verse 31 says, "...and An arm shall stand in his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and they shall take away the daily, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

And verse 32, And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries.

But the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits.

And then verse 33, and they that understand among the people shall instruct many, yet they shall fall by the sword and by flame, by captivity and by spoil many days.

And then it goes on to describe a few other things.

Then the next statement Ellen White says, after quoting those verses, she says, seen similar to those described in these words will take place.

We see evidence that Satan is fast obtaining the control of human minds who have not the fear of God before them.

But all read and understand the prophecies of this book for we are now entering upon the time of trouble spoken of." And then she quotes Daniel 12, 1 to 4.

It's very interesting that the portion of Daniel 11 that she quotes that says will be similar in the future is the portion of Daniel 11 that describes the Dark Age Papacy, where we see the abomination of desolation in verse 31.

Now I've done an entire presentation on the abomination of desolation in part 2 of this series.

So if you've been following along, you have an idea of what that's talking about.

It's this union of church and state, that's the abomination, that then leads to the desolation, which is the persecution of the saints.

If you look at verse 33, it says, They that understand among the people shall instruct many.

I think you can make a good case that this, when it's repeated, will be similar to the loud cry experience when God's people under the power of the latter rain will be giving this message, but they will be giving it in the face of persecution.

And it says, yet they shall fall by the sword and by flame, by captivity and by spoil many days.

And so there will be persecution during the little time of trouble before the death decree.

And so Ellen White says, much of the history that has taken place in fulfillment of this prophecy will be repeated.

She's referring to the dark age papacy during the 1260 years.

And she says, seen similar to the persecution when the papacy is in control of the state, seems similar to those describing these words will take place.

That persecution begins as what we call the little time of trouble leading towards the death decree.

The time between the initial Sunday law, and again, we saw that there's 4 stages to the Sunday law.

So The time between the initial Sunday Law, and again we saw that there's 4 stages to the Sunday Law, so the time between the initial Sunday Law and the death decree initiates the Little Time of Trouble, and there will be persecution during this time.

This is during the first 3 stages of the Sunday law specifically The little time of trouble is during the first 3 stages of the Sunday law Persecution will continue beyond that into the fourth stage obviously, But the little time of trouble is seen in the first 3 stages of the Sunday law.

So that's very important to understand that there's the little time of trouble once the Sunday law begins, and it escalates eventually to the great time of trouble with stage 4.

And as we saw in the first 3 stages it starts where you can't work on Sunday and we use that time to do missionary labor and we do warn the world of what's coming and then stage 2 escalates to where you can't or that you have to worship on Sunday, you can't just take the day off, and then stage 3, you have to worship, you'll be fined and imprisoned, you can't buy or sell, and then finally, there's a death decree.

We've talked about that, and this is all during what is known as the little time of trouble.

Now, during this time, the latter rain has poured out, the loud cry is given, we have the judgment of the living.

And here's the key thing, we already talked about the first 3 bullet points on the screen.

There will be martyrs for the faith during this time.

Sometimes I think we forget that people will die for their faith during the end time crisis.

You know, we understand that once we get to the death decree that God's people will be delivered and that they won't allow to be put to death.

But before the death decree, there actually will be martyrs.

And again, if you look at Daniel 11.33, it talks about how it says, "...they that understand among the people shall instruct many." I again see that as a parallel to the loud cry message.

And it says, "...yet they shall fall by the sword and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil many days.

Now again, I'm not saying verse 33 is specifically for telling the loud cry.

I'm just saying that as history repeats, many will instruct with a loud cry message and many will respond to it and this will lead to martyrdom.

They will fall by the sword, by flame, by captivity and by spoil.

So we need to be girding ourselves up for what is coming, that we could be martyrs for the faith, but we will, as Revelation 12, 11 says, they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.

And if we love Jesus, we will be willing to die for him no matter what even now and especially during the final crisis.

Now I'm going to read some statements to you from Ellen White that clearly outline this concept of the little time of trouble.

This is found in early writings pages 85 and 86.
