The Blue Print, Part 1

Heavenly Father, we come before you again, Lord, just asking that you would teach us, Lord.

Our minds have been massaged by your Spirit.

Our hearts, Lord, are waiting to catch on fire.

Teach us, Lord, we pray in thy name, amen.

What I would like to share with you this morning is a very practical way to study with individuals who you meet.

Now, how many of you have ever wondered now, what would be the first study I give someone if someone actually said, yes, I'd like to have a Bible study?

I mean, have you ever thought about that?

This is, again, just kind of setting the stage.

I have 1 particular study that I will give, that I will start all my Bible study contacts with.

I have a hook, you know how, you know, fishermen they'll use different hooks for different, you know, I have a hook and then once I get a person hooked, I'll usually say to a person, hey, give me 1 study, that's all I'm asking.

And after that 1 study, if you don't want to study anymore, I totally understand.

That's not gonna happen, but I totally understand.

And usually they're like, oh yeah, okay, 1 study, no problem.

And I'll give them that 1 study, and after we, when we get to the end of that 1 study, at that point I will then say to them, begin to explain to them what I will explain to you and basically share with them, listen, there is so much more to learn.

2 hooks, 2 of my favorite hooks, which can be used really, You know, they're either people that know Jesus or people that don't know Jesus.

Let me start with what study, let me ask you, if someone was an atheist, an unbeliever, a Muslim, a Hindu, or anything like that.

Or maybe even a Christian who just, someone who is kind of searching, but he doesn't know which religion to choose.

What Bible study would you think of giving to that particular person?

I met with a gentleman day before yesterday who says, hey, I'm a Methodist, but I'm not really a Methodist.

I don't really like following Christianity because every church I've been to, it's just like they're trying to just say, believe what we say because we say it, and they never give me a reason why.

And plus, There's Hinduism, Buddhism, and all these other, how do we know what is really true?

And I said, hey, you know what, I understand.

And for me to have chosen Christianity, I had a logical mind, and I was not going to choose something just because somebody said, believe this.

I would be a Muslim for the same reason because I was born there.

I had to have something that I could know without a shadow of a doubt why I was a Christian.

And he's looking at me like, okay, well, what is it?

And I said, well, when I discovered God's challenge, that God had a challenge to all the other gods.

And he's going, God has a challenge to all the other, what is that challenge?

And I took him to Isaiah chapter 41, Isaiah chapter 42, 43, 44, 45, who knows what those, what the challenge of God is found in those chapters.

Call all your gods together and let them tell you the future.

If your God can tell you the future, let him be God.

And I thought, you know, I told this gentleman, I thought, man, now that is a good challenge.

Because I know that anybody can get up and write a good book.

And I wasn't going to believe the Bible just because the Bible said, be good and love your neighbor.

The Quran says, to a certain extent, be good.

So what sets Christianity aside had to be something more than be good.

It had to have a supernatural element to it.

And when I looked at all these other religions, guess what they were all empty of?

The longest time prophecy in the Quran, I believe, is 30 something years.

The prophecy of Daniel 2 covers a span of almost 2, 500 years.

And so as I began to take this individual who by the way loved history, and I begin to take him through the prophecy of Daniel 2, you should see his mouth dropping open as I'm sharing with him, okay, now, you know, think about this, what are the odds of Daniel prophesying the fall of Babylon?

Come on, he lived in the time of Babylon.

He could have written it after it happened.

And I'm giving the skeptic all that I can.

But when we get down to the fall of the Roman Empire?

Daniel could have said, and after Greece, or after Rome, another kingdom shall arise.

And Rome, by the way, was almost a thousand years after the time of Daniel and he's going wow this is incredible this is unexplainable I said to him listen if I told you 20 things that were going to happen And you looked at me like I was crazy.

20 things that were gonna happen over the next 5 days.

And over the next 5 days, you see, you know, thing number 1, thing number 2, thing number 3, number 4, number 5, number 6, number, what are you going to begin to think after each thing happens just the way that I said it?

Are you going to assume that you can pretty much trust that the other things are gonna happen?

And I said, well, here's what you have right here.

I said, the God who knows the future like this, I wanna put my future into his hands.

We ended the study, he said, okay, so when's our next study?

Now, there may be people who believe in Jesus who are really like, oh, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.

Here is the other hook that I usually like to use.

It is 1 of the simplest hooks to use to get a Christian into a Bible study, and it is a Bible study on the rapture.

Very simple study to dis, or a very simple error to dispel the rapture.

Really you can dispel the rapture with that 1 verse, as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the son of man.

And you just simply ask, hey, what happened to those who were taken?

The Blue Print, Part 2

Okay, so you know, boot camp is designed to like wear you out.

We're going to pick up where we left off this morning on our study of the great controversy theme.

So What I'll do, I'll just give a little time for everyone to get settled.

And then we'll pray, we'll review a little bit.

So, let's do a little bit of a review and I'm not going to pray yet.

We're going to review and then once we're all settled we'll pray and continue on with our presentation.

So, We are looking at a study of the great controversy theme, and we noted that we wanted to tell our students, show our students that it is impossible to understand the Bible in totality until we understand what?

Say again the plan of salvation the blueprint reveals the entire plan of salvation and so on 1 of the first things that we did in our study was showed that Lucifer was called a what?

And we picked up on that thought, and we went to the book of Exodus 25 to see just what a covering cherub was.

In the very presence of God, he was 1 of 2 angels that covered what?

The mercy seat and what was beneath the mercy seat?

That the law of God is the foundation of God's throne and all government must be based or founded upon what?

Any government that is not founded upon law is a government in which you will have chaos and anarchy.

That's something very easy and very simple for someone who's studying the Bible to understand.

So we have the word of God telling us that Lucifer was a covering cherub and that this covering cherub stood in the very presence of God, stood over the law of God.

The Bible says that Lucifer was perfect in his ways until what?

It is sin and what is the definition of sin according to the Bible?

Therefore we understand that the very law that Lucifer should have been standing over, guarding, protecting, he begins to do what?

Now how does Lucifer deceive 1 third of holy, intelligent angels?

He places an argument that states this, we can be like God.

A law to dictate to us what righteousness is.

By the way, how many of you remember Korah's rebellion?

Remember the story about Korah's rebellion?

Why are you lifting yourself up above all the people?

Korah's rebellion is a snapshot of the rebellion that took place in heaven.

It was Lucifer saying, we are already holy, we don't need a law dictating to us what righteousness is.

We see non-Christians saying, we don't need a law, we don't need God in order to be holy, we can be good without God and then we find Christians using that same argument, we don't need a law to be like Jesus.

We can be like Jesus without some law telling us how to do that.

We're not under the law, we're under grace.

What are you doing as you take your Bible study student through this process?

You're preparing them to receive all the truths of the Word of God.

You're setting them up in 1 study to get all the principles that they will need so that when you discuss all the other subjects, the rapture, the second coming, the state of the dead, hellfire, the millennium, they will already have the seeds, the truths, the principles, the theme necessary to understand what you're saying when you share it.

The Bible tells us that Lucifer and one-third of the angels were cast out.

Why didn't God judge the angels immediately?

Whenever a controversy rises between 2 parties, there must be a third party.

It was God and his angels versus the devil and his angels.

Who is that jury that is to judge Lucifer and his angels?

When God said, I will lay you before kings.

We are the kings that God will use as the third party.

1 Corinthians chapter 6, verse 1 through 3, tell us, know ye not that the saints will do what?

So Lucifer discovers, oh wait a minute, are these the ones that are to judge me?

He comes to them with the same argument he did to the angels in heaven.

You can be more like God without obeying what God said.

I want you to notice something that that Lucifer used a good desire to lead to evil.

Because Adam and Eve had no natural tendencies to sin in them, did they?

I mean, come on, we all want to be good like God.

The Blue Print, Part 3: Earth’s Final Movie

Well, I'm going to ask you to pray for me.

You know, I've shared with you that my testimony, part of my testimony, when I came from the States, I, My Jamaican accent was so heavy that I would not speak in front of people.

And the kids in school would make fun of me anytime I spoke.

And so I developed this intense fear of public speaking.

And now the Lord has a sense of humor, amen?

And so, You know, I was just sharing in the tent that I have nightmares sometimes, that I'm standing in front of an audience and I have nothing to say.

Can you imagine having a nightmare like that?

So it was interesting, I was back there, some of you may have seen me back there, and throughout these meetings I've been trying to think about what I'm gonna talk about, what should I do here, what should I do there, so I was in the back putting my notes together.

And as I was putting my notes together for this meeting right now, I realized I had to go get my notes printed so I ran over to the registration booth printed my notes and now I can't find them.

Heavenly Father, we thank you so much for your mercy, your grace, your kindness.

And Lord, we want to ask in a supernatural way today that you would speak to your people.

We thank you, Lord, for hearing and for setting this situation as it is.

Well, I have to tell you that it's a good thing that I've seen the movie.

We are going to complete our study on the blueprints.

And you've seen that we have discussed in great detail What it means to present to your Bible study contact This big picture I Want to accomplish a couple things as I present this to you.

I want you to realize that you are not here by accident.

I want this study, as we complete this study and wrap it up, I want you to realize that you are not here by accident, that God has chosen you.

Like seriously, being in this building right now, God has chosen you to be here at this time.

And number 2, I want you to realize that God has a mission and a purpose for your life.

And did you know that God has a script for your life?

I want to encourage you today, do not let the devil be your author.

And no matter how messed up your story is, God can take your story and turn it into something incredible.

You know, there are a lot of times that God has to say cut in your script.

But I guarantee you That no matter how much you have messed up your script, God can take that script and create the most beautiful stories.

So by the way, I've subtitled this message, Earth's Final Movie.

We are taking our Bible study students through the theme of the great controversy.

We're going to start with the controversy in heaven.

According to Ezekiel chapter 28, Lucifer verse 14, Lucifer is described as the covering cherub.

And we understand that as we go to the book of Exodus chapter 25 verse 18 and 19 that the Bible describes there 2 angels that were found where?

In the most holy place and they were on either side of something called what?

The Ark of the Covenant and they were called what?

Covering cherubs and right in between them was found the mercy seat, the Ark of the Covenant and they were called what?

And right in between them was found the Mercy Seat, the Ark of the Covenant and in particular the Shekinah Glory.

Which then we understand is a blueprint showing us the model of heaven.

You'll remember that the sanctuary is a picture, a miniature map if you will, of the true sanctuary in heaven.

We find that Lucifer then stood in the very presence of God and he was 1 of the guarding angels over what?

The Bible tells us in Ezekiel 28 that Lucifer, what?

Sinned and according to the biblical definition, what is sin?

Somebody asked me earlier today, Pastor, do you think that there were 2 tables of stone underneath the throne of God in heaven?

And I answer, I don't know, but I would venture to say that the law was actually summed up in 1 word, and that was love.

And isn't love a reflection of the character of God?

Here's what I like to tell people, you know, the angels, all they needed was that word love.

Because our minds had become so corrupted by the principles of this world, I like to call the 10 Commandments righteousness for dummies.

So in heaven it was summed up in 1 word, but on earth at Mount Sinai, God had to write it out so that we can understand in a very practical sense what love is.

The law of God then is the foundation of God's government, God's throne.

Are you imagining this in your mind as we go through this?

How does Lucifer deceive 1 third of angels?

How does he get 1 third of angels to go with him?

Does Lucifer say, hey, who would like to be evil with me?

According to Isaiah chapter 14, he can be like God.

In fact, do you know Ellen White says that when Lucifer first began his rebellion, he did not know where he was going?
