What a beautiful song, He Touched Me and Made Me Whole.

Last night we talked about a very important subject, what God has done for us and why we want to give back.

He says, you are mine and because we are part, we've been created and redeemed by God.

That's why we have come with this phrase, give God your best, He'll take care of the rest." If you weren't here last night or even if you were, we try to memorize that short phrase.

Give God your best, He'll take care of the rest.

Thank you Lord that we are yours both by creation and by redemption thank you that you have given us this privilege of giving back to you giving to you our best knowing you will take care of the rest.

Come now, Father, speak through me that your words may indeed be words of life to each 1 of us now.

In the precious name of Jesus Christ our Savior, Amen.

There's an interesting phenomenon that seems to be happening around nowadays.

I noticed so many places so many times I come across things that have that 1 word makeover.

In fact I was at the store not too far away from here recently.

When I came across the magazine, I don't subscribe to it, I don't buy it.

But I had to get it this time because it tied in closely with my sermon.

And here they had on the cover makeover miracles and it says shocking photos Jen Aniston 1987 and 2005 and inside they have all these pictures of all the so-called celebrities and the so-called makeover miracles.

Now you'll notice 18 years between these 2 pictures.

Besides a lot of money and a lot of makeup that took place as well.

But there seems to be a big push on this issue of makeover.

There's a new thing now called Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

I've never seen it, but the 2 articles talked about what they do.

Approximately a thousand people every day send in letters and videotapes from around the nation, trying to show that they qualify for a brand new house.

Yes, and so what these people do, they look at them and Once every week, they select ABC television, I believe it is, select a home and they show up at the door of the family that they've selected.

They send the family on a week's vacation.

Yes, in a day or 2 they tear it down and then designers and others come along.

1 house I was reading about, they had within 7 days, they had 1, 800 volunteers and they reconstructed the entire house on the same property.

And then of course they refurnish it and they do all kinds of things at this house.

They even gave the owners a brand new motor vehicle.

And so the people then come back and they're in tears and they're on television of course and this is now another kind of makeover.

I've come across a program last year of somebody who feels that their friend is kind of stuck in the dark ages, need a new hairstyle and then they ambush them and they call it ambush makeover.

And then they take them and they try to transform them within a couple of hours.

The transformation always includes generally a new hairstyle and invariably quite a bit of makeup and invariably low slung clothing to be more sexually seductive.

OK, I don't watch that, but I said, oh, that's the direction that the world is going.

Now, there's not just external, there's another kind of makeover that's called re-engineering your body, which is very interesting because medical science, we're here at the medical institution, they're trying to re-engineer people's bodies.

They're doing all kinds of fascinating things.

The doctors went inside of his cheek, took a small piece of tissue out and then with stem cells grew this in a culture dish till it grew large enough.

Then they transplanted this sheet across his eyes, what they called the sheet of tissue, and transplanted it and put a soft contact lens over that.

Within 6 weeks the man could see clearly.

Interesting, incredible things that are happening now, transforming the body.

You might have heard of bio-artificial kidneys.

The latest 1 I read about, an artificial hand that is so good, if somebody throws a baseball at you, you can catch it.

And you can throw that with an artificial limb.

The hand opens and closes so fast reacting to your thinking.

Incredible things that they are now inventing.

You know, sometimes people don't change, they simply change a name.

I'm reading how instead of changing perhaps a job, they change the name of it.

It's called Urban Transportation Specialist.

That's the urban transportation specialist.

Another 1 I liked was the internment excavation expert.

But you see, human beings though are fallible.

Sometimes even with all this medical attempts to change our bodies, cosmetic surgery, and I know this state, the state of California is famous for reshaping all parts of the body, ok, cosmetic surgery, sometimes unfortunately doctors make mistakes.

I'm going to show you something right now.

There was a lady that went to Australia and she had an operation.

You see this scissors, by the way, this pair of scissors?

For 17 months she went back, they x-rayed her and this is what they found.

The doctors had forgotten that pair of scissors, this is an x-ray, inside of her.

Now you're studying medicine some of you please be careful don't leave anything inside your patients when you operate okay.

Do the best job you can but you know it's interesting We all have this desperate drive for change.
