It's like a little pocket in time where you can come and fellowship a little bit like it may be in the in the heavenly kingdom.

Can you imagine this like multiplied times over for eternity?

I was in New York right before I came here.

Their whole idea is just a bit different.

But at the same time, some of the concepts are the same.

It's a group of young people wanting to make a movement and make things happen in their community and change the face of the place that they live in.

And while I was up there, they had literature evangelists coming in to do work in the community before the mission trip began.

And when the mission trip began there was a group of young people probably like I said 15 to 18 years old that had come and they were gonna experience evangelism.

They were going to go and visit people in the community.

They were going to hold, what do you call them, concerts in the park.

And then after that, after they'd done their work and experienced their mission trip, Bible workers would come through and pick up where they left off.

And I got to spend time, I was privileged to spend time with these young people in this environment.

And while they were going out, doing outreach from day to day, they went out for probably 6 to 8 days over the 2 weeks that we were there and I had the privilege of training them and helping them get out there and use their talents and gifts to reach people for Jesus And it's just amazing what God can do with young people.

While they went out from day to day, they continued to gather Bible study after Bible study after Bible study.

They gathered over 100 plus Bible studies in about a week, I think it was.

And so they're having a high time, they're getting Bible studies, they're holding concerts in the parks, and people are coming out to visit, and they're able to hand out tracts and information, and they're just enjoying the experience with Jesus.

In the morning I left, it was kind of like a morning like this.

We met 1 more time together and I asked them the same thing.

I said, I understand this is a mission trip, I said but your mission has just begun.

I said now you go on to your next point, you go on to your next stop or your next post when it comes to the mission and I said there you continue the work that you've begun here in New York.

I said, now take the spirit and the life and the things that you've gained here and take them to the next point in your life, in the next place that you go and start something else there.

And I think that's God's goal for a project like this, don't you?

It's good to come here and fellowship together.

It's good to have a conference like Montana Youth Conference, where you can get together and be inspired by good messages, and study the Bible, and pray together, and see what God has planned for a group of young people in preparation for His coming.

And it's my prayer that things like this would come down to an even more local level.

We were talking back at the lunch table, and we were talking about how GYC was this nationwide slash global movement that began to lead a group of young people to understand their vision and their calling when it comes to the ministry.

And they were gathering hundreds and then thousands of young people were coming to GYC and someone, I don't know who it was, said, hey, what about a statewide GYC?

And now they're coming up all over the country.

Big global vision all of a sudden is being brought closer to home.

And I said it's my dream to see something like this actually come closer than statewide.

I'd like to see it come down to the cities.

I'd like to see it come down to the churches and to individual people.

Because if the church could catch the vision and have the spirit of what's going on right here, I believe that what God promises can happen.

The world could be turned upside down once again, and we can go home.

And whenever I have that thought, I get excited about it because I just know it can happen.

God did it once before and he did it once again.

You know in the book of Acts, right, they had that whole situation where the Holy Spirit was poured out on the day of Pentecost and people were just fired up.

People heard them and they said, men and brethren, what must we do?

And Peter said, you need to be baptized, you need to repent, confess your sins and become a part of the family of God.

There was a movement that was taking place.

A young church was being born and God was working.

And you'll notice that at that time, once that took place, it says that they were fellowshipping together, they were eating together, they were studying the Bible together, they were people of experience leading the movement, and the next thing you know, it went like fire in the stubble.

And Paul says, even in his time the gospel was preached to every creature.

And if it was like that then, I know it can be like that now.

We know He came to seek and save the lost, but His goal was to accomplish His own mission and then send the Holy Spirit to you and to me to accomplish the rest of the mission.

I think about a young father who experienced a terrible tragedy in his life.

His son, They were living in Japan and there was an earthquake that just rattled the whole area that they were in.

And his son wasn't with him, he was in school at the time.

So you can imagine the father's anxiety after the earthquake was finished, the whole area was destroyed, he runs directly to the school where his son was at.

And he goes there and the whole place is in chaos and havoc.

And he begins right there at that spot where the school is just destroyed, lying in just rubble, just a terrible mess.

He begins to pull 1 brick and 1 rock off another, 1 piece after another, bent and broken metal.

And he worked hour after hour and his hands literally became bloody.

He refused to eat or take time out to eat and he kept working and working and working because he hoped that his son might be down there somewhere.

People thought he was mad but hour after hour after hour he continued to peel those things away with pain just wreaking havoc on his hands.

People brought him drink and they brought him food and he did take some of that, but he would not stop until he found his son.

1 rock, another rock, another brick, another piece of metal, and all of a sudden, a hole.

And as you pull off a few more rocks, a few more bricks.

Imagine the rejoicing of the heart of the father that day, amen?

And not just the father, but down in that hole was the rest of the class that that boy was in.

Not just 1 young man saved, but the entire class was saved because of the love and the determination of 1 father.

And I think about our Father in heaven, amen?

The determination and the love that He had to save at least 1 of us.

And He sent His Son into the world to do just that.

And it seemed impossible, but Jesus knew.
