Sent as a Witness: How to be Fearless

I'm going to ask, if I can ask those of you over here to come over here because unless if we need that, I want to be able just to focus right here.

And if everybody can team up with somebody around you.

If you don't mind being in twos or threes, that is fantastic.

And if you see somebody sitting by themselves, just invite them over to sit with you.

Okay, we're gonna have some team things to do.

Since we've been sitting down for such a long time now, some of you 15 seconds, some of you 7 minutes, I invite you to stand, okay?

And turn to someone next to you, again, in twos or threes, and I invite you to ask each other this question.

When was a time in your life when you were unafraid, absolutely unafraid in a certain situation, like fearless.

I'm not talking about, it doesn't have to be a church thing or something about witness.

I'm just saying, can you think of any time in your life that you were unafraid?

Or when is it, you know, think of a time when you were unafraid in some situation and just share real quick take all the time in the world as long as it's worth 1 minute or less and then when you're finished if you just have a seat please find a good seat.

Again if you can be seated in such a way that you have a friend or a neighbor to team up with on some items, that will be very helpful.

So if you can be sitting in twos or threes, that's very helpful.

If you're by yourself maybe someone around you can say come on over here and be my brother or my sister.

Don't tell the whole story but like just give me some examples quick examples of times when you were unafraid unafraid right here 10 plus 10.

I could have easily just taken a portion of the offering, not the time, but the offering to go toward the mortgage.

And it would have been okay, but I made a commitment to God.

So when I got involved with this organization called NACA, he asked what did I give in charitable donations?

I said, you asked me to answer, I gave you an honest, I mean you asked me a question, I gave you an answer.

Whatever your organization does, I'm not worried about it because the same guy who gave you this house, he'd give me another 1.

Long story short, a mortgage company called, told me that they had lowered my interest rate from 9% to 3%, no more paying an adjustable rate, but a fixed rate mortgage, and I didn't have to pay rent, a mortgage, until the next year.

So I went 5 months without paying a mortgage.

That's 1 of the fastest telling of an unafraid story that I've ever heard in my life.

Now, if you have some more examples, but I need to hear it in probably just 1 sentence, like just the main item, because I'm gonna repeat it back before the recording.

Because I can't talk as well or as fast as you.

Okay, so just give me like a one-liner, a time when you're unafraid, and then I'm gonna repeat it back just for those that are gonna be listening later.

Fantastic, so the example I just shared was being on a small seaplane, and I was being afraid before that but having the joy of being on that seaplane.

1 liner if you can because it helps me repeat better.

God took your fear away from stepping on a land mine in Cambodia.

Time when you know that you are unafraid.

Wow, but you're nervous about it before that?

God impressed you in a prison, you're saying, to make an appeal.

Please turn to someone next to you and ask them, so what are you most afraid of when it comes to being a witness?

Are we willing to ask each other that question, or Are we too afraid?

So ask each other just real quick, and ask with grace, what are you most afraid of when it comes to being a witness?

Okay, everybody, I don't want to talk about that too much, but it's good to address.

It's good to talk about very briefly, like to admit what we're actually afraid of, but we don't want to dwell on it.

What are some of the things that we're most afraid of when it comes to being a witness?

You notice I didn't say doing witness, I said being a witness.

Like I want to hear real things from you.
