The Ultimate Fuse: His Power & Our Faith

Wow, what a day, what a day that will be when we see his face.

You know, there are times when the Lord God Almighty chooses to make use of ordinary things, to do extraordinary things.

This morning I want us to ponder anew what the Almighty can do when our faith takes hold of His power.

The message I want to share with you today is called, The Ultimate Fuse His Power Our Faith Let's pray together.

Our Father in heaven, we've come here today, Lord, to simply be in your presence.

We have been welcomed with open arms by you, O God.

And today we want to listen to your word.

We haven't come here, Lord, to hear the mortal voice of a preacher.

We've come here, Lord, seeking You to hear Your voice, bring conviction to our hearts.

So We thank You, Lord, for answering our prayer.

The 8th Psalm echoes, the stars are the work of His fingers.

The 147th Psalm resounds with praise, He calls all the stars by name.

And the prophet Isaiah adds, because of the greatness of His might, not 1 of them, speaking of the stars, Not 1 of them is missing.

You know, when we ponder the inspired words from these Bible writers, Do our thoughts really grasp what they're attempting to communicate?

Just how great is the magnitude of the Lord God Almighty's presence?

Well, in order to give you a visual perspective, here's our church.

Here's our church where you're now present on planet Earth.

You know, it took me about 17 miles or so to get from my house to this parking lot.

Yet the circumference of the planet Earth is 24, 901 miles.

Approximately 196, 900, 000 square miles.

But now here's a picture of planet Earth next to the sun.

Now the sun is so large that about 1, 300, 000 planet Earths can fit inside the sun.

Canis Majoris, known as the largest star in observable universe.

Canis Majoris is so large that you can fit 9.3 billion of our sons inside of it.

Let this just kind of just sink in when you remember where we are right now.

So now here's a picture of planet Earth next to the sun.

The sun so large that it is dwarfed in the presence of the VY Canis Majoris.

But I'm here today to tell you this, that my Bible, the Word of God, speaks of a God who can hold the Vycanus Majoris in the palm of his hand.

After all, the inspired author Revelation wrote of stars held in his right hand.

So you see yourself in Haymarket, Virginia on planet Earth, which is next to the Sun, which is next to the VY Canis Majoris, which is on the palm of God's hand.

So again we must ask just how great is the magnitude of the Lord God Almighty's presence?

The nearest star is about 4 light years away from the earth.

It's the distance that light travels in 4 years.

4 light years would be the distance that light travels in that period of 4 years.

Light travels at a speed of a 186, 000 miles per second.

This means that the nearest star is about 24 trillion miles away from the Earth.

Just keep wrapping your mind around these little facts.

But even then, it's just a speck of distance in the universe because the furthest observable star is located about 5 billion light-years from Earth.

Now, the universe is what we usually think of as the totality of known or supposed objects and phenomenon throughout space.

So the observable part alone contains over 10 billion trillion stars.

Arranged in about a hundred billion galaxies.

The space, biblically speaking, the measurement of a span is the space between one's thumb and little finger.

If we took heaven to mean the universe, God measures approximately 93 billion light years in diameter with the space between his thumb and little finger.

And you can understand why the psalmist wrote with trembling hand, What is man?

For the Son of Man that you pay attention to Him.

That the Lord God Almighty takes notice of me.

And just how small is the faith of man that is needed to link with God's power.

I just attempted to give you a glimpse of the magnitude of God's presence which is in proportion to His power.

And now I'm coming now to the other side, and asking how small, How small is the faith of man that is needed to link with God's power?

A mustard seed is about 1 to 2 millimeters in size.

The Apostle Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote in Ephesians chapter 3, I pray that you may be filled with the fullness of God.

That you may be filled with the fullness of God.
