The Three Angels

I'll be back in a moment with the amazing facts about this ultimatum and its profound effect on the world.

♪♪ Hello, this is Joe Cruz in the Amazing Facts broadcast, Facts Which Affect You.

Today's message introduces 1 of the most fascinating subjects contained in the entire Bible.

It is more than fascinating, friends, It is solemn because it involves the very last warning call that God will extend to this earth.

Very few people have ever heard the things that will be presented during the next few days on this broadcast, and I urge you to listen with all your attention.

The text today is found in Revelation 14, 6-10, And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel, to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment is come.

And worship him, that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation.

And he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb." Now probably this is the most neglected chapter in the most neglected book of the Bible.

Now why do Christians so often bypass the book of Revelation?

Why do preachers often pretend that it is a closed book of mysterious symbolisms?

The very name Revelation implies that it is something revealed and not hidden.

It has more to do with our present age, friends, than any other portion of the scriptures.

Its predictions are being written into the headlines of our newspapers every day.

Notice what we are told in Isaiah 26, 2, Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter therein.

Now here we learn that those who keep the truth will go through the gates of the new Jerusalem.

It is not enough merely to be sincere in the path we follow.

We may be sincerely following the wrong path that will lead us to the wrong destination at last.

1 dark night I found myself on the wrong road after innocently driving for many miles, believing I was going in the right direction on the right road.

But my sincerity did not keep me from ending up in the wrong place.

So we ask the question today, what is truth?

My friends, it is the most precious thing in the world.

Solomon, the world's wisest man, said, Buy the truth, and sell it not.

And then notice these words of Peter, wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth." II Peter 1, verse 12.

Now please notice that expression, present truth.

There's a vast difference between truth and present truth.

There was a time when, in order to be forgiven, man had to take a lamb without blemish, confess his sin over it, and then kill that animal.

Now that is true today, friends, but it does not have any present application to this age of history.

At every great crisis of the world, God has sent a message which applies to that very time to the needs of the people then.

Noah preached such a message to the generation of his lifetime.

For 120 years he warned the people that they would be involved in a flood if they didn't get into the ark.

If Adam had preached that same message it would not have been a present truth message for the world.

Had Moses come along later presenting the same warning.

It would not have applied to those people who heard him.

But for the Antediluvians it was present truth.

Now let me ask you, what happened to those who rejected that present truth message?

Well they were swept away in the flood, weren't they?

And thus it has ever been with the ones who did not heed the special call of God for the then present hour.

John the Baptist appeared at a certain time of world history with an important message about an event just ready to take place.

John's message was only for the people of that generation when he cried, Prepare ye the way of the Lord.

My friends, today we stand on the verge of another great world-shaking event.

Jesus is about to come back the second time to bring down the curtain on this sinful world.

Does God have a message to prepare the world to meet this great event also?

Let me read a very familiar text of Scripture in Matthew 24, 14, And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world, for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come.

Now listen, just before the end this sign will be fulfilled.

The gospel must be preached to every nation, and then, Jesus said, the end will come.

Now turn to Revelation 14, 6 and read the fulfillment of this prophecy as John saw it in his vision.

He saw 3 angel messengers flying over the whole earth, described in these words, And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel, to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people." Now, friends, this was the first angel.

2 more follow with more of the special warning message.

Notice that John was given a prophetic picture of the very thing Jesus said must happen before the end could come.

And then John proceeds to tell us what that everlasting gospel message is to be for the final hour.

The 3 angels flying swiftly through the heavens were saying with a loud voice the words that we read to introduce the broadcast today.

And as soon as the message had been given, the prophet looked up and saw Jesus with a sickle in hand coming to reap the harvest of the earth.

Revelation 14, 14, he says, I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud 1 sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

In other words, the prophecy of Matthew 24, 14 will be fulfilled.

The everlasting gospel will go, just as John saw it in vision, and the end will follow immediately.

Are we living now in the time of the end?

Is this the hour that we can expect the message to appear?

We need not review except very briefly the great fulfilling signs that declare that Jesus is coming soon.

We studied the other day about the increase of earthquakes, calamities, labor troubles, the accumulation of wealth, the stress of nations, increase of knowledge, the love of pleasures.

Jesus said, When ye shall see all these things, know that it is near even at the door.

Every sign has been witnessed by this very generation, and we are living in the last days of the old world's history, friends.

Now what does it mean to be living in such an hour?

It means that God has a special present truth message designated by Jesus as a gospel and by John as the everlasting gospel.

That message is to be the last warning for the world and will culminate in the harvest of the earth at the second advent.

Is it in fact being sounded right now over all the earth?

In order to understand that question, let's study the content of the message as revealed in Revelation 14, 6-10.

First, Why is the message being sounded by an angel in the prophecy?

Has God really given the angels the gospel to preach?

In the Great Commission to His disciples, Jesus told them to go preach in all the world.

This angel, then, symbolizes the great speed and power in which men will proclaim the everlasting gospel to every nation and tongue.

Now let's study the first part of it, which is symbolized by the first angel's voice.

Fear God, and give, for the hour of his judgment is come." Now why does it say that the judgment is come in the present tense?

On some of these broadcasts soon, we will find the answer to the question when we preach on the great judgment day.

There is something strange and wonderful about this part of God's present day truth, friends.

We shall find that the destiny of every soul is involved in this most fateful hour of human history.

The second part of the first angel's message is a call to worship Him that made heaven and earth and the sea and the fountains of waters.

The whole of the first angel's message will soon be presented on these broadcasts.

Now let's notice the second angel's message.

Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication." Now friends, do you know what Babylon is?

Have you heard it explained from the scriptures?

In Revelation 18, the same words are used to describe Babylon again.

And in the fourth verse, a voice from heaven is heard speaking these words, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Now evidently God has people in this fallen Babylon and he calls them to come out and separate from her.

Now if we don't know who Babylon is, how can we know if we are in Babylon or not?
