And you know, it's been a great blessing for me to be with you this week, and I'm glad I can be with you 1 more time today.

And I hope to be back again sometime soon.

Before we get into our message for this morning, let's have a word of prayer.

Father in Heaven, we thank you for being with us this week as we've seen the prophetic messages that identify us as your last day people.

And as we look 1 more time into the prophetic word this week, we just ask for a very special blessing from on high that you would do a powerful work in our hearts and minds this morning so that we would be prepared for your coming.

You know, as we have looked at the prophetic messages this week, we see that we are a very special people, amen?

We see that God has raised up a second Advent movement to prepare a people for the coming of Jesus.

And we see that as we looked at the prophecies this week in the book of Daniel we saw that there are 4 main visions and there are 4 main kingdoms in those visions followed by in Daniel chapter 2 the Second Coming, in Daniel chapter 11 and 12 the close of probation just before the Second Coming, and in Daniel 7 and 8 the beginning of the judgment and the cleansing of the sanctuary in 1844 which shows us that the book of Daniel identifies the period of time between 1844 and the Second Coming as the pinnacle of this earth's history, and that is the time that we are living in.

And we saw in the book of Revelation that in the 3 sevens, the 7 churches, the 7 seals and the 7 trumpets, you have the Laodicean church that is in a terrible condition at the end of the 7 churches.

But At the end of the 7 seals, you see that God raises up the 144, 000 from His last day church.

And then we see at the end of the 7 trumpets that it is from the second advent movement that God prepares the 144, 000.

Now what we saw last night is that the Laodicean church is in a lukewarm condition that is delaying the coming of Jesus.

And what we saw is that when the message comes in a direct manner to the Laodicean church, it will bring a shaking and those who stay in or remain will constitute the 144, 000.

And in fact Ellen White says in Testimonies Volume 1, page 187, those who come up to every point and stand every test and overcome, be the price what it may, have heeded the counsel of the true witness to the Laodiceans, and will receive the latter reign, and thus be fitted for translation." Which means that we as God's last day people, the Laodicean Church, the Church of the Judgment Hour, we have a message to prepare us for translation, amen?

Our purpose for existence as Seventh-day Adventists is to be translated without seeing death, but the condition for that is to receive the message from the faithful and true witness, Jesus Christ.

Now, in the book of Revelation, ending in chapter 6 and beginning in chapter 7, we get another look at what is going on with God's last day people.

And remember, at the end of the seals, which is what we are going to look at right now, it shows that the 144, 000 come from God's last day church.

Well, let me read to you, starting in Revelation 6, verses 12 and 13.

And it says, I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood." Now if you recall, we identified the great earthquake as the Lisbon earthquake of 1755, and then the sun becoming black and the moon becoming as blood was the dark day of May 19, 1780.

And then in verse 13 it says, and the stars of heaven fell onto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

That was the falling of the stars, November 13, 1833.

And then the very next thing you see in verses 14 through 17 of Revelation chapter 6, during the sixth seal is the second coming of Jesus Christ and you see the men of the earth calling for the rocks and the mountains to fall on them.

And in verse 17 they say, For the great day of his wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand?

So the question is, who shall be able to stand when Jesus comes in the clouds of heaven?

Because we don't want to be among the group of people that are calling for the rocks and the mountains to fall on us, right?

Now, the answer to that question comes in Revelation 7, verses 1-4.

And here we read, And after these things, so after John, the Revelator John, sees the opening of the sixth seal, and Jesus coming in the clouds of heaven, He says, After these things I saw 4 angels standing on the 4 corners of the earth, holding the 4 winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

Now notice verse 2, and I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God.

And he cried with a loud voice to the 4 angels to whom it was given to hurt the earth and to the sea, saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads." Now who are the servants of God that are being sealed?

And I heard the number of them which were sealed, and there were sealed a hundred and 40 and 4000 of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

So in Revelation chapter 6, this question is asked, the great day of the wrath of the Lamb has come, and the Lamb is Jesus Christ.

And those who are not ready, when they see Jesus coming, they see this day as a day of wrath.

And they're saying, who could possibly stand before this Lamb, Jesus Christ, who is full of wrath?

And the answer is, those who are sealed with the seal of God, the 144, 000.

And if you look at this very carefully, at the beginning of the sixth seal, you have the Lisbon earthquake of 1755, you have the dark day of May 1917, you have the falling of the stars in 1833, and we know from the rest of our study in Daniel and Revelation, after that the judgment and the cleansing of the sanctuary begin in 1844, so why has Jesus not yet come to receive his 144, 000?

Because we see in this passage that the 4 angels are holding the 4 winds until the servants of God can be sealed." Now notice what Ellen White says about this in Early Writings, page 38.

She says, "...I saw 4 angels who had a work to do on the earth, and were on their way to accomplish it.

Now these are the 4 angels of Revelation 7.

Jesus was clothed with priestly garments.

Then he raised his hands and with a voice of deep pity cried, My blood, Father, my blood, my blood, my blood.

Then I saw an exceeding bright light come from God, who sat upon the great white throne and was shed all about Jesus.

Then I saw an angel with a commission from Jesus swiftly flying to the 4 angels, who had a work to do on the earth, and waving something up and down in his hand and crying with a loud voice, hold, hold, hold, hold until the servants of God are sealed in their foreheads.

Now Notice, she goes on to say, I asked my accompanying angel the meaning of what I heard and what the 4 angels were about to do.

He said to me that it was God that restrained the powers and that he gave his angels charge over things on the earth, that the 4 angels had power from God to hold the 4 winds and that they were about to let them go.

So these angels were about to let the 4 winds go because they thought the servants of God were sealed, But while their hands were loosening and the 4 winds were about to blow, the merciful eye of Jesus gazed on the remnant that were not sealed, and he raised his hands to the Father and pleaded with him that he had spilled his blood for them.

Then another angel was commissioned to fly swiftly to the 4 angels and bid them hold until the servants of God were sealed with the seal of the living God in their foreheads.

Notice, the 4 angels were about to let the 4 winds of strife come upon the earth so that the final events of this earth could take place.

I've shed my blood for them and I love them too much to not let them be saved.

Please hold off just a little bit longer until I can do my sealing work upon my people." And you know, she wrote this over a hundred years ago.

Don't you think it's about time for us as God's people to be serious about our work as the remnant, seventh-day Adventists, whom God has given a message for this time to prepare us for translation?

And I believe that the Holy Spirit is moving upon His world church 1 more time to prepare us to receive the seal of God in our foreheads.

It is too late in earth's history to be playing games with the devil anymore, amen?

It is time for us to give our lives to Jesus completely.

And I want to look this morning at the characteristics of the 144, 000 that are described in Revelation chapter 14 verses 1-5 because those are the people who will receive the seal of God in their foreheads and when they do, the final strife upon this earth will be released through the 4 winds.

So, let's turn to Revelation 14, starting in verse 1.

Here we read, And I looked, And lo, a lamb stood on the Mount Zion, and with Him 144, 000, having His Father's name written in their foreheads.

There is coming a time, a day, that all of us want to be part of where the 144, 000, that group of people that come from the Laodicean Church, the Second Advent Church, they will stand on Mount Zion with the Lamb, with Jesus Christ.

Now notice, there is something very special about this group of people.

They have in their foreheads the name of the Lamb's Father.

That means that they have been sealed in their foreheads.

You see, it's not going to be some indefinite time into the future that the seal of God will be placed on His last day people.

There will be a day, I believe, very soon, where God will have a people that He has sealed in their foreheads.

And He wants each 1 of us here today to receive that seal of God.

He wants us to stand on Mount Zion with the Lamb, with the Father's name in their foreheads.

Now do you know what it means to have the Father's name in your forehead?

And what does the Father's name represent?

You know when you think of someone's name, someone's name is associated with their character.

And let me just show you 1 Bible verse, Isaiah chapter 57 verse 15, which describes the character of God's name.

Isaiah 57 verse 15 says, for thus saith the high and lofty 1 that inhabiteth eternity whose name is holy.

The Father's name is holy and the 144, 000 will have the name of the Lamb's Father in their forehead because they will be holy as God is holy, because they will have had the experience of the righteousness of Christ in their lives.

And when they have that experience, they will receive the seal of God in their foreheads.

So we are looking forward to the day when the 144, 000, that group of people that come from the Laodicean Church, God's last day church, the Second Advent Movement, they will stand on Mount Zion with the Lamb.

Now as we continue, Verses 2 and 3 show, I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder.

And I heard the voice of harpers, harping with their harps.

And they sung as it were, a new song before the throne, and before the 4 beasts and the elders, and no man could learn that song but the 144, 000 which were redeemed from the earth." You know, this song, It's a new song which has not been sung before.

Now, when you sing a song, you know, when authors write a song, they write a song to describe an experience that they passed through, And the 144, 000 are going to sing a new song, a song that has never been sung before, because they will have passed through an experience that no 1 else has passed through before.

And I want to be among that number that sings that song, amen?

I want to be able to sing the song that no man can sing but the 144, 000.

Now verses 4 and 5 describe very carefully the characteristics of this group of people and why they have the privilege of standing on Mount Zion with the Lamb, Jesus Christ.

Do you want to be among that group of people that stand with Jesus on Mount Zion?

So do you want to know what the characteristics are that are required?

In verse 4 it says, These are they which were not defiled with women, for they are virgins.
