Father in heaven tonight, what a privilege we have to just be here in this place.

We thank you that we can understand the words of Jesus tonight, that they speak clearly and directly and specifically to us in this time, in this generation, in this day and age.

And we know that we are nearing eternity.

Eternity is knocking on the door of planet earth and Jesus will return to this earth very soon.

We want to know for sure that we have the assurance that Jesus is dwelling there and our hearts have been surrendered to you.

So please bless us tonight we pray, send us your Holy Spirit that we may understand your truth and be brought nearer to you and your ideal for our life today.

We ask this in Jesus' name and everybody said together, Amen.

Well we have studied in the last several topics, some in the morning, some in the evening here, God's last day message And we find that message right in the heart of the book of Revelation.

And this is a little bit of a review, a very brief review.

We saw this text that God has a special invitation for all the people of the earth and he sends out the everlasting gospel through this message so that every person can have the opportunity to receive him, every person can know that His love is for them and He has done everything possible for them to be saved, right?

And so we saw that in the first part of that message.

And then we studied the next part of this message that says, fear God and give glory to Him for the hour of His judgment has come.

And we learned that the hour of His judgment, the final judgment that would take place before Jesus comes, when does that begin?

We learned that it has already started, yes?

The end of that prophecy of 2, 300 years found in the book of Daniel tells us that that hour of judgment is coming.

That's something to be scared to death of, isn't it?

No, we didn't find that to be true at all.

We found, in fact, that it's something to be hopeful about because the Bible says that God wants to make judgment in favor of his people.

It's not that everything he's doing to keep you out of heaven, but it's everything that God is doing to what?

That's his desire, that's his prayer, that's his goal.

But nonetheless, that judgment is important.

And the Bible said also in there, fear God and give glory to him and we asked the question this morning What does it mean to fear God?

Well the book of Ecclesiastes the wisest man that ever lived tells us he says fear God and keep his want Commandments for this is the whole duty of man.

And so Solomon tells us that to sum up the whole purpose of our life is to know God and make him known, keeping his commandments, walking in his ways, honoring him in all that we do, and that's in fact why Jesus died, because humanity was not doing that previously.

We have rejected him for the most part as a race, but he still came to make a way of escape for us.

And so we found today that we are not saved by keeping God's commandments, but we're saved by faith in who?

In what Jesus has done for us and what Jesus is doing for us, yes?

But what we found is that when God gives us righteousness by believing in Jesus and we stand before him as though we've never sinned, God changes our hearts and Jesus begins to dwell inside of us.

And as he does that, he's going to live his life through us.

And so then we begin to be able to obey God and God changes our hearts and then He changes our minds and then He changes our behavior and He changes our actions and our lives gradually as we grow in faith, piece by piece, our lives become more and more surrendered and more and more aligned with His will and His Word.

I think that's just a wonderful thing and we become happier and better because of that.

God doesn't save us because there's some good in us.

God saves us because He is good, and then He transforms us, and He makes us good.

And the Bible says, as a sum of all this, I can do how many things?

All things through Christ, which strengthens me.

And Jesus said, don't think that I came to do away with that law.

The 10 Commandments is what we're talking about.

And what we saw this morning was that the 10 Commandments are really 10 promises from God.

When God says don't don't lie, what he's really saying is be honest.

When God says don't commit adultery, what he's really saying is be faithful because I'm always faithful to you.

When he says, don't have any other gods before me, he says to us, I've never put anything in front of you, not even my own life.

And so God gives us the commandments as promises, and he says, this is who I am, and I wanna change your life to make it like that.

How do you think that's a wonderful thing?

Jesus said, as surely as I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, 1 jot or 1 tittle will by no means pass from the law till how much is fulfilled.

And since it will take eternity for everything to be fulfilled, then God's law will what?

And who wants it to end because it really displays some of the greatest characteristics that humanity has always needed and desired.

Faithfulness, honesty, truthfulness, trustworthiness, all these different characteristics are revealed through the life and the character of God and God wants those to be replicated in our lives.

So it's not the law that needs to change, It's not God's commandments that need to change.

We are out of line with God's commandments.

Now, you might say, somebody might say, well, but most of the world doesn't keep God's commandments, so we are probably the minority if we decide to do that in our life.

Well, there's great benefit to honoring God and keeping His commandments.

The Bible says, great peace have they which love thy law, and nothing shall what?

The world is much offended today because they've disregarded God's commandments.

We may be the minority in the world if we honor God with His commandments, but we're the majority in the universe.

This planet is out of line with the rest of the universe.

The rest of the universe worships and honors God and it's this planet that is out of line.

So we might be the minority in the world but we're the majority in the universe.

Now we studied last night a power that would think to change times and laws, that would think to change the very law of God.

And we studied this and so if you're new tonight I apologize but we studied this last night and we saw that there was a power on the earth that would seek to change the law of God.

And this entity, the Bible says, is the Roman Church.

And nothing against the Roman people, wonderful people, but the system has found itself out of line with God's Word.

And the church themselves make the statement that the Pope is of so great authority and power that he is able to modify, declare, or even what?

So that means they believe they have the authority and the power to change even the laws of God.

This law of God is the most explicit law that God has ever given because he wrote it with his own finger on 2 tablets of what?

And so we studied this this morning, so pardon me if that part seems abbreviated because it's review.

If you don't, if you want to hear the whole thing, you just got to come in the mornings, see.

But we're going to jump to the heart of this to a very specific commandment that much of the world today has forgotten and that's found in Exodus 20 verses 8 through 11.

Notice this, remember the Sabbath day to keep it what?

6 days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day, oops, is the Sabbath of the Lord your God, and in it you shall do what?

Now notice here that the Sabbath can only be applicable to you, it can only be valuable to you, it can only be useful to you, If God is your what?

He says, it is the Sabbath of the Lord, your God.

So if you claim God today, if you claim Him as your God and Him as your Lord, then the Sabbath becomes applicable to you, correct?
