The Three Angels’ Messages and Finishing the Work

Lord, let the words of my mouth and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable in your sight.

Oh Lord, our strength and our Redeemer, amen.

We've been hearing some powerful things about the 3 angels' message and what it takes to be anchored in the Lord.

And I'm going to give you a challenge of something I've observed through the years.

We have literally tens of thousands of dedicated Seventh-day Adventists who love the Lord and think what they need to do to finish the work is to pray a little bit more, or to study their Bible a little bit more, or to have a little bit more of the Holy Spirit.

And all of those are essential, but there comes a time where we have to do what the Bible says over and over again, arise and go.

It's more comfortable to pray sometimes than to arise and go.

It's more comfortable to go to a wonderful seminar like this than to arise and go.

It's more comfortable to think if I hear more sermons, that's what it'll take.

If I hear more teaching and training, that's what it'll take.

But there comes a point in time where when we do love Jesus, we have to think of that comfort zone, that circle around us, and we have to step out of that comfort zone for Jesus.

We have to talk to people that we've never talked to about Jesus.

We have to talk to people we know that we've never talked to about Jesus.

We have to go places where we aren't comfortable to tell people about Jesus.

We have to go to communities where there is no Adventist work.

We need to go to neighborhoods where there's no Adventist work.

We need to go to cities and countries where there is little or no Adventist work.

So when I was given the assignment, the 3 angels' message, and finishing the work, The Lord brought to my heart the importance of stepping out of our comfort zone for Jesus.

If you haven't seen very many miracles recently, it's because you haven't stepped out of your comfort zone for Jesus.

As soon as you do, you start seeing miracles.

And those of you who've gone door to door, you stepped outside your comfort zone.

And that's why you saw some of the miracles in these testimonies.

When we step out of our comfort zone for Jesus, 2 things happen.

That's why somebody like me, who is an extremely, extremely shy kid, At camp meeting, standing in line to buy corny dogs with my dad.

And he would just start talking to people he didn't even know.

I just wanted to go right through the ground because I knew what was coming next.

But I've stepped out of my comfort zone enough so that nothing bothers me.

And that's just how it works with all of us.

So let's do a quick review of the 3 angels message.

If you don't keep it in the foreground of your mind, it'll go out the back of your mind.

So I'm gonna see if I can do it with you and you do it with me, and here's what the assignment is though.

As we say, or you listen to the 3 angels' message, I'm gonna be asking you to see what verse or phrase, primarily what phrase, speaks to you, because in just a minute, I'm gonna ask you to get in groups of 3 or 4 right where you're sitting and say what phrase spoke to you.

If you're online watching or listening in audio, then I'm gonna ask you to just turn to somebody nearby if you have somebody nearby.

But let's do it, if you know it together, say it with me, if you don't, that's okay, and you're listening for a particular phrase.

I'm not, there's not, this is not a right and wrong answer, Okay?

You're just listening for what phrase speaks to you today because there's so many phrases and each 1 can speak differently to you.

Different ones can speak to you each day.

And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to give to them that dwell on the earth, to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment is come.

And worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the fountains of waters.

And there followed another angel saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication and a third angel followed them saying with a loud voice if any man worship the beast in his image and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation and he should be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.

And the smoke of their torment shall ascendeth up forever and ever, and they have no rest day or night who worship the beast in his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.

Here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

What phrase spoke to you and why do you think that is?

Let's just hear very quickly, what are some of the phrases?

Jesus talked about judgment in the future.

There's a message that'll go to all the world that says the hour of His judgment is.

The judgment's happening right now in heaven.

Yes, okay, here is the patience of the saints.

Yes, Lord give me patience but make it snappy, right?

Patience is what we need, but it's really patient endurance, willing to go through whatever it takes and that is what God is preparing all of us for to have that patient endurance that No matter what happens though, you know when we have terrible disappointment and adversity We will either be like Job or his wife, will either say, though he slay me, yet will I trust him, or curse God and die.

And we wanna be having that patience of the saints.

The everlasting gospel at the beginning, is he's alpha, and then we have the omega, the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

This is the only place in the Bible where that specific phrase is used, everlasting gospel.

But it's to remind us that there aren't multiple true gospels.

There's not an Old Testament gospel, New Testament gospel.

We are saved, we are only saved by faith in the Messiah who gave his life for us.

And we'll be saved in 3 ways, from our past, from our present, and in our future.

And that's the faith that God can give us to stand through what's coming.

Not only is it faith in Jesus that we have, but it's really the faith that comes from Jesus that he had.

So it's the faith that comes from Jesus that results in, same like God's love.

We have faith in him because he had faith that he gave to us.

To give to them that dwell upon the earth.

Yes, every nation, every tribe, every language, every people group, everyone and especially the broken and the excluded need to hear this message.

I thought it was interesting that it says that he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the lamb.

It's interesting that they refer to Jesus in this spot as a lamb so that he'll be seen as like a sacrificial piece to the people that are seeing what they could have had and what he paid for.

Yes, and here it's a description of that lake of fire, recognizing that the lamb does see this and the angels see this, but we know from the scripture that that lake of fire doesn't go forever and ever and ever.
