Coming and Going

It's nice to see you We thank God for life And that's a very serious statement.

I Frequently say every night we go to bed what are we expecting to do?

Every morning in hospitals, nursing homes, on the street, people are found dead.

Of all ages, if you're alive, thank God for life.

But also consider God does not give us 1 more day of life to live rebellious lives against him.

He gives us 1 more day of life to do what's pleasing in his sight.

Who among us is not a Seventh-day Adventist?

You are not your guest, you're a visitor.

Jason, Anthony, thank you very much for coming.

And if there's some shy visitor who will not raise his or her hand, Thank you also for joining us.

And I say it with my eyes open as a prayer.

May the Lord bless you, bless your family, and put a double blessing on your children.

And for those of you online who are not Seventh-day Adventists, Your guests, thank you so much for taking the time to fellowship with us, and may God bless you.

What's our theme for this series of meetings?

If you believe in the concept of God, if you believe that He has a manual for successful living you will believe there is hope.

And throughout this series, we hope to increase your faith in this hope which God gives to us.

Before I get into the message for this evening, It is now 20 minutes to 5 to 6.

Possibly before I will see how the spirit of God leads me.

Before I get into the message, which is entitled Coming and Going, I want you to manage your devices.

Mine is still on, I was doing some reading.

So you don't have to say physician heal thyself when I ask you to turn yours off if you're not using it but if you are using it make sure the sound is down you surely would not let your phone ring in a courtroom in front of an earthly judge we are in the presence of the judge of all the earth So that request is in the interest of reverence.

Favor number 2, while I'm speaking, pray for me and say, Lord, put your words in that man's mouth.

I'm very fond of my opinions, but they have no saving value.

And so I want you from time to time to say where you are in your heart, God, please put your words in that man's mouth.

That request is based on Jeremiah 1.9, Then the Lord put forth His hand, and touched my mouth.

And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth, and I truly want to speak God's words.

He calls upon us, come, Let us reason together.

Father in heaven, thank you for the privilege, the honor of calling you Father.

Thank you, dear God, for the unrestricted access we have to you through Christ.

As we bow in your presence if we've sinned against you forgive us dear God.

Let me be simply an instrument in your hand, dear God.

Play me as a maestro plays an instrument.

Father, help me to listen to the Spirit when He says, say this or don't say that.

Grant me the humility of Christ to listen.

Put a special blessing on all our guests, dear God.

Now Father, do with me as you will, I pray, in Jesus' name, amen.

We read verse 17, very simple verse, Matthew chapter 4, and I read usually from the King James version of the Bible.

I study from others, but my favorite for public presentation and for memorization is the King James version.

From that time forth began Jesus to preach and to say what?

Get Out of the Way

Now when you say God is good, are you saying that because you're required to say that?

Or are you saying that because God has been good in your life?

His mercy is everlasting and His truth Endureth to all generation.

Let me say the last part of verse 5 of Psalm 100 again his truth Endureth to all generation Not error Truth You're not listening You're sleeping with your eyes open.

His truth endureth to all generations, meaning that 1 day God will come and put an end to error and to those who persist in living their lives by error.

1 Corinthians 13, read verse 6 as we talk about truth.

This is not my message, but it just came to me.

I see you have a habit of putting verses on the screen.

This is the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

1 day, you will not have the privilege of having 1 of these.

There are people who have lost their lives to make this book available to you and to me All right.

Verse 6 I'll give you time to find it those of you who lost the screen privileges When you found it say amen All right.

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth.

Now, I want you to read that verse microscopically.

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, that's on this side, but rejoiceth in the truth.

Now, we have iniquity on this side, We have truth on that side.

The opposite of truth is iniquity or error.

Error is iniquity and the wages of iniquity is death.

The reward of truth, eternal life through Jesus Christ and so I again, I say again, His truth endureth to all generations.

When Jesus prayed to His Father in John 17, He was praying to His Father.

This is what He said, "'Sanctify them, ' come on, "'through thy truth, ' finish it, "'thy word is truth.

"'Error, false doctrine, cannot sanctify you.'" Now go to 1 Thessalonians chapter 4.

This is not my sermon but it's coming to me.

First by the way those of you online, welcome, welcome wherever you are.

May the Lord bless you as abundantly as we believe.

Let's take a look at the will of God for your life.

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification.

I frequently hear people say, what is God's will for my life?

Sanctification, the removal of sin from the life is will number 1.

And so this is the will of God, even your sanctification.

Now, keeping in mind that sanctification is God's will for us.

It is God's will that this sanctifies your life.

It cannot, finish the words, sanctify you.

The Bible says, God gave 1 man to 1 woman.

If you have 3 wives, that may excite you.

You are not a Seventh-day Adventist, raise your hand.

May the Lord bless you and your family in every possible way.

Remove your sicknesses and protect you from your enemies.

If You Say So

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

He will not always chide, neither will He keep His anger forever.

He hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquity.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgression from us.

Like as a father, pitieth his children, so the lord pity of them that fear him.

It's a delightful thought to think that God remembers that we are weak.

When you go to the courtroom, the judge doesn't care if you are weak.

He'll fine you, put you in prison, whatever he needs to do.

God, the judge of all the earth, the sinless judge, he understands that we are dust.

I welcome those of you online, wherever you are on God's round earth that some people say is flat.

But I'm delighted to see you and I pray sincerely that God will bless your lives as you listen to his words spoken as simply as I possibly can.

Father in heaven, I present to you those who are with us who are not 7 day Adventists.

I ask you now father to bless them in the area of the greatest need.

Please God, be generous when you bless because that's the kind of God you are.

If they've offended you, forgive them freely and quickly, dear God.

Fill them with your grace and save every 1 of them when you come.

Thank you so much for coming and those of you online.

Let me also welcome little boys and little girls who are watching.

I'm always delighted to see children in the church.

You think they don't learn anything but you're wrong.

They pick up a lot as I often say the same way a child picks up what is wrong very quickly.

The child just needs to be put in the right environment.

Our subject for this evening, if you say so, what's our subject?

Government, by the people, What was our subject on Saturday night?

Come here and go on Sabbath morning, get out of the way.

And tonight, if you say so, before I get into that, I believe my phone is turned off.

But you may wonder why do I always mention the phone?

A few years ago, I was preaching, I won't name the country, and the lady sat right up front.

She was right in front of me, her phone rang.

I thought she would hasten to turn it off.

She answered it, carried on a conversation right under my nose as I tried to preach the gospel and then put it away and I could not believe what I'd seen.

I'm not saying she was a bad person, but in the age of technology, sometimes we forget that God is still holy and he demands holiness, he demands reverence when we come to him.

I know some of us are addicted to them but turn it off if you're not using it.

But if you are using it, then simply turn down the volume.

The second favor I ask is that you pray for me while I'm speaking.

Your words were in that man's I mean that very sincerely.

Jeremiah chapter 1 verse 9, Then the Lord put forth his hand and touched my mouth.

And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

Isaiah 118, come now Let us reason together.

As I said, we serve a reasonable God, and God expects us to be a reasoning people, putting A and B 2 and 2 and coming to the proper conclusion.

Loving Father in heaven, thank you for the invitation.

Only that labor and a heavy laden and I will give you rest, guaranteed.

We come to you tonight, Father, in the name of Jesus, a name you never resist.

Please Answer Question Two

The man who attempts to keep the commandments of God from a sense of obligation merely, because he is required to do so, will never enter into the joy of obedience.

When the requirements of God are considered a burden because they cut across human inclination, we may know that the life is not a Christian life.

True obedience is the outworking of a principle within.

It springs from the love of righteousness, the love of the law of God.

The essence of all righteousness is loyalty to our Redeemer.

This will lead us to do right because it is right, because right doing is pleasing to God.

Christ Object Lessons, page 97, paragraph 3.

I welcome you to this place where God is present to bless us with the revelation of light.

You know, the Bible presents Christ as 3 things.

Now he is merciful, and he's long-suffering, and he is forgiving, but he is light.

And Christ is present in the person of the Holy Spirit to reveal light because light is life.

John 1 4 In him was life and the life was a light of men.

He that falleth with me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life.

And I sometimes say, Father, I wish I could dream about Jesus.

I have dreamt about important people or celebrities.

But I say, Father, let me dream about Jesus.

Even if I'm somewhere behind the rock watching him, Let me dream that I saw Jesus and heard the music of his voice delivering the sermon on the mount.

Pray without ceasing means keep your mind always where?

Your feet on the earth but your mind in heaven.

Anyone present who is not a seventh day Adventist, raise your hand.

My good brother, are you going to spell your name again tonight?

In the Bible, blue is the color of obedience.

I believe we have some guests online wherever you are.

This requires muscular contraction, which requires all kinds of micro steps that happen in microseconds to do that.

Because the physical laws that are required for you to blink.

That's why the Bible says, in him we live, come on, and move, come on, and have our being, and that's no joke.

You walked into this building by the power of God.

The Bible says of Christ the creator and upholding all things by the word of his power.

Our subject for this evening, please answer question 2.

Another John the Baptist

My public testimony always is God has never done me anything wrong.

And so I clear God's name of any wrongdoing in my life.

All my problems I have brought on myself, very skillfully and very sadly.

But God has never done me anything wrong.

I have a question which I will attempt to answer.

Father in heaven, in James 1, verse 5, the Bible says, if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God.

Give it to me now, keep your word, and grant me that wisdom not for my sake, but for your sake that what I say may enlighten those listening.

The question is, what about Bible study with that partner for them to be baptized if they want to?

Clearly, I had made some comments about not being unequally ill.

You might have remembered when I said that.

In my very first presentation on Sabbath morning, I said, get out of the way, and I said, get things out of your life like that relationship God does not recognize.

And so this may have been based on that, and I said something similar subsequent to that.

When God tells you to do something, just do it.

When he tells you do not do something, just don't do it.

If you read Exodus 25 all the way down to 40, counting inclusively the 16 chapters, detail after detail after detail about the construction of the tabernacle and all its furnishings, read those 16 chapters, Moses could not change 1 item.

Exodus, Genesis chapter 6 and 7, God gave Noah instructions for the building of the ark and for the inhabiting of the ark.

Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers.

For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness and what communion hath light with darkness?

We're answering a question about the fellowship of light with darkness.

And God divided the light from the darkness.

And God called the light day and the darkness he called night and the evening and the morning were the first day.

And the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Verse 2 tells us the earth was wrapped in darkness.

Verse 3 says God said let there be light.

The light came and God saw the light that it was good.

And God Divided the light from the darkness.

What is God saying to us in that creation event?

Before you answer all of creation physical contains spiritual lessons That's why Christ taught so much in parables.

It was he who put the lessons in creation.

Now, and God divided the light from the darkness.

In creation, God has never desired that light and darkness come on.

All I can give you is, thus saith the Lord.

Jesus said, he that is not with me is against me.

Don't amend and editorialize and fix and send recommendations to God.

God does not need my recommendations at all.

They came from up down without any involvement from humanity When God says don't do it The wisest decision you can make is to not Do it even if you do not understand why God tells you don't do it.

Now, parents, you have that experience with your children.
