We've been learning a lot over these past few days, haven't we?

It's been a blessing, brothers and sisters.

I praise God for all the opportunities that we have been able to come together, press together, to learn of God's truth.

This is what we're supposed to be doing right now.

So it is that we realize that there's a great work, not only that Jesus is doing in that most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary, but we realize there's a great work that we're supposed to be doing as well.

And that's why we were looking at those 4 instructions and we saw that God has called us to have holy convocation, to afflict our souls.

And the next step was that we were to offer an offering made by fire.

And so it is that tonight we're gonna go ahead and review what does it mean to offer an offering made by fire.

How do we apply that today and by God's grace see if we can make it practical.

So it is that as we prepare to go into this study, we're gonna once again have a word of prayer, and then we will officially begin.

I'm gonna kneel, and you're certainly welcome to join me if you'd like, and if you cannot, then you can certainly bow your heads reverently where you are as we pray.

Our heavenly Father, we praise you and thank you, dear God, for the wonderful time that we have been having here.

It is absolutely amazing how time truly flies when we are having fun.

And Lord, I'm grateful that we have not been having careless fun.

We have been having fun, Lord, enjoying your word and communing with thee.

And Father, we're grateful that we can have the privilege to have even that kind of fun and enjoyment.

And Lord, I'm just praying that as we come together now that once again you'll prepare our hearts and our minds to better understand your words of truth.

And Lord, I pray that the message tonight will do something special in our hearts, and that you may truly cause us to come to Jesus, and to behold him and his lovely face for who he is.

And I pray that by beholding, may we even become changed.

So Father, we ask you to please forgive us of our sins, to cleanse us, Lord, from all unrighteousness, to open our eyes and once again help us to behold wondrous things out of thy law.

And I pray that you'll make plain to us tonight on how we can offer an offering made by fire.

Speak to us now we pray and I give myself to refresh.

Take my life and let it be consecrated Lord to thee.

For we ask these things dear God in Jesus name, Amen.

I want you to turn your Bibles to the book of Leviticus chapter 4.

And as we're turning to Leviticus chapter 4, you'll remember, and I want you to see that everything we've been studying, you see that everything was, it had a flow to it.

Because the first thing God's people were supposed to do was have holy convocation at home and then that would best prepare them for the public meeting where they were to have the holy convocation with the family, with the brethren.

And then through that holy convocation, they were supposed to afflict their souls, to begin to search and examine their hearts, so that way they can make sure that there would be no wicked way within them.

And what's interesting is that when they would begin to examine their hearts naturally, they would start to see sins that would come up that they would realize, perhaps I didn't even realize that I was committing this sin against you Lord, and as a result of that, they would now have to go to the next step.

And the next step we find in Leviticus chapter 4 everything flows perfectly in Leviticus 4 notice what the Bible says now as we consider verse 30 They had to present an offering and I want you to see how the Bible puts this in Leviticus 4 in verse 30 It says and the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar.

It says, and he shall take away all the fat thereof as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offerings.

It says, And the priest shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savor unto the Lord, and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him.

So here it is that, you know, when we study how the offerings were done, we see that when the offering had to be presented, you'll remember that there had to be an investigation and it had to go through a process.

But eventually, when the offering was to be laid on that altar, it says that all the fat had to be removed.

And then all this fat, when it was removed, it had to be burnt up.

Now, the question is, what exactly would this fat represent?

What is it that the Bible would help us understand this fat even to be?

And I believe that we can find out if we just simply search the word of God to find out our truths.

So let's go to the book of Psalms, the 37th division, and let's see if the word of God can give us some guidance to help us understand some things about this fact that had to be separated from the offering, and then ultimately it would be burnt up.

The Bible says in Psalms the 37th division and when you get there please say amen.

In Psalms 37 in verse 20 now let's look at what the Bible says.

The Bible says in Psalms 37 in verse 20 it says but the wicked shall perish it says and the enemies of the Lord shall be as what?

They shall consume into smoke, shall they consume away.

So therefore, if we were to look at what does this fat represent based on what we read thus far, what would we see the fat to represent?

It would represent the enemies of the Lord.

It says, the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs.

Now, let's see if we can investigate this a little bit further and see if God can help us see some more about these quote unquote enemies of the Lord.

So here it is, the Bible says that the enemies of the Lord are like the fat of lambs.

Now, go to the book of Romans, Romans chapter 5.

In Romans chapter 5, I believe that God is going to help us to even understand even deeper this fat and the enemies of the Lord being synonymous 1 to another.

Notice what the Bible says now in Romans chapter 5.

This is interesting because we're about to see something where we're going to see how God refers to people, But I want you to notice 2 terms that he uses the Bible says in Romans the fifth chapter We're gonna look at verse 8 it says but God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet what?

Sinners It says Christ did what he died for us now look at verse 9 and 10 It says much more than being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Enemies, The Bible says, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son.

Much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Now, here it is that when we looked at that offering, we saw that when the offering was presented, the fat had to be removed, amen?

And then we said, well, what does that fat represent?

And then we looked a little further in Psalms 37, and God says, well, I look at the fat as the enemies of the Lord.

Now we went to Romans 5, and in verse 8, God says that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, but then God used another term in verse 10.

He says, but while we were enemies that God also reconciled us unto himself.

So to be a sinner and to be an enemy were on the same par.

Now, the only way an individual can be a sinner is that they obviously must have committed what?

So therefore, that fat that had to be burnt up and consumed represented nothing else but sin.

This was very important as it related to the offering.

God saw it necessary that while there was going to be an offering that was going to be presented, he wanted to make sure that he got out of it all the fat.

And as he removed all that fat, he realized that that fat needs to be destroyed, and therefore, the only thing that could do it is that it had to be fire.

Fire was necessary to consume all of the fat.

Now, the reason why this becomes very significant is go to the book of Romans chapter 12.

In Romans chapter 12, we find out something now.

You know, I've learned, brothers and sisters, that if we carefully study the Bible, we will start seeing that God uses sanctuary language all throughout the Scriptures.

He uses sanctuary language all throughout the Scriptures, and I'll show you 1 right here in Romans 12.

In Romans the 12th chapter, notice what the Bible says, and when you get there, please let me know by saying amen.

Now, in Romans the 12th chapter, the Bible says, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a what?

A living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

So the Bible helps us see that God wants us to present ourselves as a sacrifice, amen?

Now, that sacrifice, you must understand, is sanctuary language.
