A Perfect Bad Day

Our Father and God in heaven, Father, we thank you for your mercy and grace.

Father, I thank you for the opportunity to be here behind the secret desk, for it's a miracle that I'm here today.

And so, Father, in spite of myself, may the people of God here be blessed without measure, and their heart, mind, and soul be touched in the nearness of the coming of your Son.

Father, we know a crisis is soon to come that's an overwhelming surprise, and your people must be ready.

And so Father, as we study the life of Job, we ask that we apply these principles in our lives for the special mission your remnant has for these last days.

10 years ago, I was in the crossroads in my life.

I just finished my first year of law school at Pepperdine University, and I had my dream internship at a major record label.

My dream was to own my own major record label, and sign artists, and produce the next idols of popular culture.

And this internship, I was so excited, but then as I progressed, I was born in the church, I was raised in the church, I went through the school system, I went through the college system in the church, and then I began to realize that I felt empty inside.

That it wasn't all I was cracked up to be.

And soon and very soon I became depressed and I became sad and in my dream internship I felt empty.

And then the Lord led me to the book of Job and I started reading and this is my first time reading the Bible seriously.

And that led me to a Bible study group, and I left this internship, and I found my true calling, my true occupation, which is to declare God's end-time message.

You see, brothers and sisters, you may be studying as a doctor or a nurse or a dentist, but that is not your occupation.

That is just a tool to further your primary occupation, which is to declare God's in time gospel message, the third angel's message.

And God has raised you up here at this school to have a spirit of influence so you could share this message to a sin-sick dying world.

And so, reaching that 10-year anniversary of my heart being touched by the Advent message, I started to re-look the Book of Job.

We look at the Old Testament, we think of it as nice Bible stories, cute little stories, Uncle Arthur Bible stories, But do you know the Old Testament has specific end time applications for us living in the last days?

And so as I was studying again the book of Job, I realized that the book of Job and the principles in the book of Job applies to us living in the final generation here in the last days.

Known from the Bible says in James chapter 5.

James chapter 5, James chapter 5 verse 8, and when you're there please say Amen.

The Bible says in James chapter 5 verse 8, Be ye also patient, establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

So for those that are waiting for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh, the Bible says that we should be patient.

Grudge not 1 against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned.

Behold, the judge standeth before the door.

Take my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord for an example of suffering, affliction, and patience.

Behold, we count them happy which endure.

Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord, that the Lord is very pitiful and of tender mercy.

So the Bible says those that are waiting for the coming of the Lord must be patient, and the Bible showed that we, as God's people, have an example of the patience of Job.

You know, I find it no happenstance that the word patient is used.

We know in Revelation 14, verse 9 through 12, this message of the third angel, that this message that warns not to worship the mark of the beast.

Now for those that are unfamiliar with the mark of the beast and God's remnant message or in time events, my friend Dr.

John Shin has a new beginners class, amen?

And you could go there in the morning and he could study with you or he could pull me aside and I could show you some things after the message.

And so this third angel's message that tells God's people and tells the world not to worship the mark of the beast and we know in Revelation 13 this mark of the beast is of intense persecution that no man may buy or sell or if they do not worship the mark of the beast they will be killed.

And in this time the Bible says that God's people in Revelation 14 12 the Bible says here are the patience of the saints.

Here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Now we know that Job had a very bad day, amen?

But in that very bad day, he was patient.

And so we're going to explore and study today the life of Job.

Now what was Job's life like before the crisis?

Notice the Bible says in Job chapter 1, Job chapter 1, Job chapter 1 verse 1, Job chapter 1 verse 1.

Job chapter 1 verse 8, excuse me, Job chapter 1 verse 8, the Bible says, And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth a perfect and upright man 1 that feareth God and is sooth evil.

And so Job before the crisis before the persecution came Job's character was number 1 he was a servant of God God called him a servant and what is a servant as we compare scripture with scripture, Romans chapter 6 verse 18, his servants of God are made free from sin and serve righteousness.

The Bible also says that there was none like Job.

And I find it interesting in an individual free market society where everyone says individualism, everyone acts the same.

1 kid has a mohawk, everyone has a mohawk.

1 kid has purple hair, everyone has purple hair.

And the irony is that although we preach individualism, we are all conforming to that of popular culture.

But God told us, as servants of God, to be different.

And Job was peculiar and we know in 1st Peter chapter 2 verse 9 and Titus chapter 2 verse 14 God has called us to be a peculiar people or different from the world.

The original says morally complete and upright.

And so Job was morally complete and upright and straight in his life before the crisis.

Proverbs chapter 8 verse 13 says, the fear of God is that hate evil, pride, arrogancy, and the like.

And it also says that Job escheweth evil.

And in Psalms 97 verse 10 the Bible states that those that love the Lord hates evil.

So when you hate your sins, you start increasing your love of God.

And in Job chapter 1 verse 5, the Bible says that Job offered sacrifices in interceding for the sins of the children.

You know, sacrifices is a visible expression of prayer.

The old economy, they would either give sacrifices for intercession, thanksgiving, or the forgiveness of sin.

Next week you have fasting and prayer brothers and sisters and that's the opportune time to intercede for our family members.

And so Joe was perfect before the crisis.

You see when I was growing up, I was born in the church and I was raised in the church, but I was not interested in the Bible.

And I knew some of the prophecies of the last days when I was growing up, and in my mind, I thought of the thief and the cross experience, and I said, you know what?

When that mark of the beast is about to be signed into law, then I'll give my heart to Jesus and stand for God.

Before that I'll do whatever I want, act whatever I want, watch whatever I want, do whatever I want.

When that crisis comes I will stand for God.

Brothers and sisters that is a deception.

For Those that will stand in that crisis hour preparing day by day.

Now how does Satan respond to this declaration that Job was perfidious and upright?

Job chapter 1 verse 8, excuse me, Job chapter 1 verse 9, that he hath every side thou has blessed the work of his hands and substance is increased in the land but put forth thy hand now and touch all that he hath and he will curse thee to thy face you see Satan said to God Job just loves you because he gets the benefits of the riches.

He is getting the fringe benefits of what he wants.

And oftentimes, brothers and sisters, we often want the fringe benefits of the gospel.

And so Satan's accusation was that Job is serving you because all the prosperity that God has given him.

You see in the last days there's going to be a similar charge Satan will give to God.

God's going to say have you seen my people the remnant this final generation that keeps the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus that loves me with all their heart soul and mind and Satan says you know what God take away their homes take away their cars take away their occupations take away their degrees take away all their material possessions and they will curse you to your face.

And so the test of Job is a test for us in the last days.
