Music and Worship: The Chief Battleground of Satan, Part 2

This is the final session that we will have this afternoon.

This 1 is surrounding music and worship, the chief battleground of Satan part 2.

Before we get started, Let's ask somebody to volunteer to pray for us, please Anyone bow your heads let's put let's pray together Our Father in heaven I just ask that your presence will be here.

Lord, the work of the other power is deceptive.

Lord, we need to be wise servants and harmless as dogs.

I just pray that your manservant's message will speak to our hearts through him and that we will be open and willing and resolute in what we learn.

I want to encourage all of us that we have a message to give to the world and we're all on a course by the grace of God and I say that in faith and hope we're all on the course to give a final message isn't that right?

If we know our chronology leading up to the second coming of Christ, we know about the counterfeit revival, we've talked about that, the shaking, we talked about that, we know that we're looking forward to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, alright, which is the latter rain, And we know under the unction of the Spirit, we will go and give the loud cry, not the midnight cry.

I hear some saying at the midnight cry, we'll be going home.

It's a beautiful song, but the words need to be changed.

If you want to sing it right you would say at the midnight cry we didn't go home.

Anyway Adventists need to know their history right?

Now, now but we're looking forward to the outpouring of the latter rain because we're going to give a final message.

Revelation chapter 18 is that final message.

We are to call men and women out of Babylon, by telling them Babylon is what?

She's become the habitation of devils, the hold of every hateful and unclean bird, right?

The cage of every foul and unclean spirit.

In the last days that's what we will have to do.

Well 1 of the things we learned in the first seminar is that Satan always gets out ahead of a situation.

He did it before the children of Israel went into the earthly Canaan, the promised land, and he is doing it now before God's people go into the heavenly Canaan.

And what is his chief modus operandi, his chief mindset or mode of operation?

I am just going to, I didn't get to these slides, I'm just going to give a little bit on this and I'm going to go to my video.

I will stop this at no later than 10 till.

Give you at least 40 minutes of video, OK?

Somebody help me to make sure I stop talking at that point okay.

Today's worship okay and this is the chief battleground of Satan, worship isn't that right?

Do you know that when Christ went through the 40 days of suffering right?

When I say suffering I mean 40 days of fasting.

Put it that way, let me backtrack, I don't say that right.

He was preparing for his ministry, isn't that right?

At the end of it, when of course Satan would think he would be the most vulnerable, and by the way he wouldn't be vulnerable he'd actually be stronger spiritually.

He gave him a couple of 3 different temptations.

When he got to the third Ellen White says that was the main 1.

Look at all these things you can have right?

Bow down and worship me just make a concession.

Satan wants to steal the worship that is due God alone.

And brothers and sisters, it is happening now.

But you see, a lot of things happen under certain headings, liberal, moderate, and conservative.

We should not reason that way, to call a church liberal or moderate or conservative.

The issue is, is it right or is it wrong?

When you use these headings it tends to stifle discussion because everybody's okay.

I mean I'm serving God as a liberal, you're serving God as a moderate, you're serving God as a conservative.

That's not how we should break down spiritual things.

And try them to see whether they're of God.

Today's service tends to glorify the 1 rendering service rather a rendering service like singing or preaching, rather than God.

You were giving a little bit, oh I thought that's okay.

Look at this, today's worship tends to be given over to phraseologies and trendy terminologies so we have all these different phrases that are coming to church now listen when I start getting to these things I'm really going deeper and deeper into the seminar so I won't But there are a lot of terminologies that we're using.

And they're not necessarily wrong, but they start taking a people that are deep and make them surface by using all these phrases.

And I'm resisting giving illustrations because it's going to take me down another road.

But we're not a people of colloquialisms and expressions.

Today's worship tends to compartmentalize Jesus.

In other words, we began to find our niche in worship.

Well, I don't necessarily want to come to Sabbath school, but I want to come to the concert.

Well, I'm not so much interested in prayer meeting, but I'll come to this.

There are some salient things that we have to have before we can say we are growing in the Lord.

If you really want to get close to the Lord you will not shun Bible study.

If they're having prayer meeting or even elongated prayer meeting, all night prayer meeting, you want to say well that's not for me, but I am going to go over to my discussion group.

And I'm not saying these different compartments, some of them are good, but some things you have to have.

Now I said this in 1 of my previous seminars, I'll say it to you, if you look at the websites today of many of the churches on their homepage, you will notice what they emphasize.

Because the homepage is a statement of what you want the world to know about you.

You know that most homepages, when you look at them, you will see people standing there with their hands up.

They're standing there with their hands up.
