You know, I've been so excited to hear all of these stories this evening.

It's been such an encouragement to me, but it's not really fair to make someone sing after those stories.

But you know, I was thinking about those angel stories and then talking about how there are angels in that prayer room.

And you know, 1 of the things I'm looking forward to about heaven is meeting my guarding angel and being able to talk with him and find all of those times that he was there that I didn't know or I didn't realize, I didn't think about it.

But there's so many things that I'm excited about for heaven and I hope that this song will bring you a little bit closer to heaven tonight.

♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ I hear the sound of a mighty rushing wind of a mighty rushing wind.

I can almost hear the trumpets as Michael sounds the call.

And at the midnight cry, we'll be going home.

When Jesus steps out on a cloud to call his children, The dead in Christ shall rise to meet Him in the air.

And then those that remain shall be quickly changed.

And at the midnight crowd, when Jesus comes again.

I look around me I see prophecies fulfilling And the signs of the times, they're appearing everywhere.

I can almost hear the Father as He says, Son, go get my children.

And at the midnight cry, the bride of Christ shall rise.

When Jesus steps out on a cloud to call his children, the dead in Christ shall rise to meet Him in the air.

Death and midnight cry when Jesus comes again.

And those that remain Shall be quickly changed.

At the midnight cry, we'll be going home.

Amazing Facts can be connected with this army movement.

And we're just inspired to see this many people on a Thursday night.

And it's a privilege to be here with you.

This whole conference is really about the Word of God and the power of God's Word to transform our lives and that's something I can get behind because as you just heard it wasn't too far from here.

Matter of fact, I got on Google, what do you call it, Google Earth, and got an aerial view of Pine Springs Ranch and then where the cave is, and I was trying to measure the distance, but I don't think I'm gonna make it there tonight and it's pretty cold but it is good to be with you and and I'm delighted to have this opportunity to talk to you about the Bible something we were toying with Now I want to respect the time.

I'm looking at my watch and I know 8.30 we want to, well I know that you have to pick up your kids at 8.30.

And while it's true that the truth will set you free, it will not set you free from your kids at 8.30.

And so I don't want to go too far over that, but we're talking about maybe even just dedicating some time.

You know, every Sunday night, Pastor Ross and I, sometimes we have guest speakers that do it with us.

We do a Bible answer program where we just open up the lines and take people's Bible questions.

And we were thinking maybe we'd do that for a few minutes tonight, but I didn't give anyone a lot of warning about how to do it.

And so I thought, well, maybe, you know, we don't have a roving microphone.

1 way we might do it is if you can ask a question that you can summarize in a sentence, I will repeat it and then do my best to ask it.

And would you like to take a couple minutes and do that?

And I'll tell you right up front, disclaimer, I don't have all the answers.

But we do this in our AFCO program and sometimes the AFCO students, I get some really good answers from just listening to them.

And so it's a learning experience for me.

But if you've had some Bible questions, maybe you've come with and you wanted to ask some, or the Holy Spirit's been just troubling you about 1 thing, Just don't ask me who Cain married.

You ought to know the answer to that if you're at Army Bible Camp.

Do I have to repeat everything I just said?

Well, I moved it up and they turned it up, so.

All right, did you hear me say anything about maybe you'd like to ask some Bible questions?

Maybe you don't want to ask any Bible questions.

I just thought we'd throw that out there and see what happened and give you an opportunity to Do something unscripted like that and the Holy Spirit can lead and then there's other spirits out there too.

But I don't know if you had any questions.

If you've got your Bibles, turn there real quick.

Let each 1 be fully convinced in his own mind.

He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord, and he who does not observe the day to the Lord he does not observe it.

He who eats eats to the Lord for he gives God thanks and he who does not eat to the Lord he does not eat and gives God thanks.

Now in Romans, Paul is dealing with a few issues, and this could be a lengthy answer, and I don't want it to be.

There were more Gentile Christians accepting Jesus now than Jewish believers.

The church started out with predominantly Jewish believers.

And now Paul largely became an apostle to the Gentiles.

The Jewish culture, the Jewish believers were saying, you can't eat these foods that have been sacrificed, maybe to idols in the marketplace or have been offered to various gods, and you need to keep the Jewish feast days.

And Paul was saying, look, if you wanna keep these annual feasts, keep it to the Lord, Don't push that on others that may not be convinced about that or convicted about that.

If you're gonna do it, do it to the Lord.

If you feel convicted about eating things that were sold in the shambles, then don't eat it.

And Paul later said, don't ask where it was bought for conscience sake, if it's gonna bother you.

And so he's, I think, dealing with these issues here for the Romans.

You'll notice you don't find the word Sabbath anywhere in the chapter.

Some have tried to make this deal with the Sabbath day.

Can you imagine any pastor, Sunday pastor, Sabbath pastor, can you imagine a Sunday pastor saying to his congregation Sunday morning, if you wanna regard the day to the Lord, you go ahead and come to church.

You're never gonna hear him interpret it that way.

He's talking about these annual feasts that the dedicated Jewish Christians were impressing on the Gentiles.

And do we have some in our midst sometimes that do the same thing today?
