A Word in Season

I have been praying for you, I've been praying for myself, I've been asking God to help me to love you.

To you through a few minutes that I can spend with you.

I'm grateful for the time that you provided to me today.

I want to just take a minute in my own heart as I pray for you that that will continue to be dwelling up in my heart, that today God in this Sabbath of faith and healing will bring healing to us.

It is affected by the laws of nature called gravity.

An interesting thing about the pen, it doesn't matter if the pen likes the idea that gravity goes down.

It doesn't matter if the pen disagrees with the fact that gravity should go down.

And honestly, it doesn't matter that the pen doesn't know gravity goes down.

It is still subject to the laws of gravity, laws of nature, laws of gravity.

Similar to that, your bodies also are subject to the same laws of gravity.

You might not agree with it, I don't necessarily agree with it, but I wasn't in on the original decision.

And I might not like the fact that gravity goes down, as I've seen in the years since I've been aging.

And Honestly, I don't even have to know that gravity goes down, and neither do you.

If you try to walk off the Empire State Building in your innocence, you will die, because gravity goes down.

On the other hand, if you learn other laws, like the laws of thrust and the laws of lift, Put that with the laws of gravity, you might just fly.

But you are still subject to the laws of gravity.

And on the first day when he made light, before by the way there was a sun, all the laws that govern the universe were beginning to be made right then, including probably at that moment the laws of gravity.

And I wasn't in on the original decision.

But you and I are all subject to all of those laws.

The compendium of all those laws are called physiology, when they affect your body.

And you are subject to those laws of physiology, whether you like it or not, whether you agree with it or not, honestly, whether you know it or not.

Now, step forward a little bit, those laws came in our bodies when our bodies were touched by the hand of God in Eden.

You'll know that all of creation was made by the word of God, with the exception from what I read, the body of man, body of mankind.

With the body of mankind, God did not speak it into existence, but took from the dust of the earth, creating the form and the function of man, and then breathed, not just spoke, but breathed into his very nostrils the breath of life.

And when he touched the body of man, he put into the body his laws.

His laws, including those laws we talk about with gravity.

The compendium of all those laws, physiology.

And it is the touch of God that made that.

And the interesting thing is, there's only 2 things in all of creation that we know that God actually touched.

He touched the form of man, creating him from the dust of the earth, and the woman from the rib of man.

But then he touched 2 tablets of stone with his own finger, it says.

And he wrote on those stones the law of God.

In both the things that he touched, he placed into them his laws.

In both of those things where he placed his laws, he gave to us a transcript of his very character.

If you look at the physiology of your body, you see the mercy, the justice, the magnificence, the humility, the gentleness, the power of God, all demonstrated in the physiology of your body, and all demonstrated in 2 tablets of stone called the Law of God.

Now there's a very interesting thing about these laws.

And it doesn't matter whether you like it or not.

It doesn't matter whether you agree with it or not.

Honestly, it doesn't even matter if you know about these laws or not.

When we have the laws of God written in stone, and we render obedience to our Lord by obeying the laws of God written in stone, we call that devotion.

And we know that if we were to keep all the laws save 1, we would still die.

If we were to keep all of them save 1, we held off ourselves, I don't like that 1, I don't need to honor the Lord God.

I don't need to watch the way I speak regarding him.

Whatever the 1 is, we would still die because to obey is to live.

When we obey the laws of God written into our flesh, it's not just about being healthy.

It's not just about living a long time without suffering.

When we obey the laws of God written into our flesh, we need to recall that the whole idea of what God has done has been placed within us, His character, and obeying those laws is an act of devotion.

Obeying those laws becomes an act of worship.

You mean that the time that I spend running, the time that I spend watching the foods that I eat, avoiding those things that are bad for me and taking those things that are good for me in moderation, These are things that are worship?

It takes these laws and removes from them the legality of it, and it puts it into the realm of love.

We do what we do because we love, because God first loved us.

It's a yearning to please out of gratitude.

It's a way to let God know the character that He has placed within me.

There is a lot that people might say, oh, you know what, if you obey the 10, that's legalism.

If you obey all those laws, those physiologic laws, that's just legalism.

Well, anything you do for legal reasons is legalism, but everything you do as an act of devotion is accepted by God as worship.

The question of why is the foundation of what we here can provide to the world in healing.

Because they're sometimes so short-sighted, they don't understand.

They see the laws, but they don't understand the glory in them.

The why tells us the beauty of the laws of God.

It tells us I can look at those laws and I can meditate on them day and night, and some of us have for many years of school.

And we see the glory of God in them if we will.

We know from Scripture and from personal experience.
