Good evening, beloved brothers and sisters.

It's nice for you to let me know you're happy to see me.

So, I thought I would let you speak first tonight.

I am delighted in my heart to see you and I really mean that and I know God is listening to me.

Your presence tells me you have a love for truth.

Your presence tells me you have an open mind.

Your presence tells me you are willing to let God do his work in your heart.

And so for me this is a privilege that I cannot measure and I thank you for coming night after night.

My colleagues will tell you it was my desire to have meetings every night But we could not get Saturday nights, but I believe we will get this coming Saturday night So for the rest of the series until October September 30 we will have meetings Every night come on say something It is my great joy to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

All those with us for the first time, please raise your hands.

If you're in the balcony, I cannot see you because of the light, but God bless you wherever you are.

I am very pleased to see you and I'm sure so is your Savior Jesus Christ.

Father in heaven, thank you for keeping us alive today and you kept us alive for your will, for your reasons.

1 of them is that we would come to this place to listen to the transforming words of life.

Lord, I ask you very earnestly, give to me the right words to say and unlock the hearts of your sons and daughters and allow the truth to enter in and transform their lives.

I pray with all my heart in Jesus' name and for his sake, let all my friends say, Amen and Amen.

Our subject for tonight, how to fireproof your soul.

Or you can also give it another title, How Good is God?

His mercy is everlasting and his truth endureth to all generations.

In Luke 18, when the rich young ruler came to Jesus and said, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

Jesus answered and said unto him, why callest thou me good?

I shall tell you, every night, you're given these cards.

So, you pick them up yourselves now and I frequently make appeals and I ask you to fill out these cards.

Tonight, I don't believe any cards were distributed.

It's 1 thing to fill out a card when someone gives it to you.

At the end of the service, I will make a call and I want to see how motivated you are to fill 1 of these out and let God know what is in your heart.

How to fireproof your soul, how good is God.

Let's go to my favorite book, what's that?

Genesis guide, it gives us direction as we study all the subjects pertaining to salvation.

Eve has taken of the fruit, she has enticed her husband, He has partaken of the fruit.

The Bible says, And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked, and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.

They became aware of something of which they had previously been unaware.

And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were what?

They had no sense of being exposed they had no sense of shame But verse 7 of Genesis chapter 3 says, and the eyes of them both were open and they knew that they were naked.

They were filled with a sense of guilt and they felt exposed.

And exposed people tried to do something about it and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.

And they sewed 3 leaves together and made themselves aprons.

God is to no degree involved in self-righteousness.

God has nothing to do with what's going on in Genesis chapter 3 verse 7.

Not only did they sin by violating God's law by eating the fruit but an attempt to fix oneself is itself a sin because to do it you've got to deny and disregard the righteousness of Christ let me say that again Any attempt to fix yourself without Christ is vain and sinful.

Self-righteousness, self-repair is contrary to God's method of salvation, therefore it is wrong.

The eyes of them both were opened and they knew that they were naked.

They sewed fig leaves together, made themselves aprons.

How long did they take Adam and Eve to make the aprons of leaves?

We're looking at how good is God, how to fireproof your soul.

Eve eats the fruit and she does not drop dead.
