You are about to enjoy a presentation recorded at the 2024 Michigan Conference Camp Meeting held at Cedar Lake, Michigan.

We pray that the Lord will bless you as you listen.

Father in heaven, we're grateful for the privilege to be at camp meeting.

We thank you that we can come and study from your word.

And we ask that you will guide us in our study now as we discuss the subject of the coming Sunday Laws.

All right, so we are gonna be talking for this seminar on this whole week on Sunday Laws.

Now Sunday Laws are something that as Adventists we are familiar with.

We've been hearing about it, reading about it for a long time, and that's good.

But I want to look at it from some different perspectives than maybe what we've looked at it before.

I believe that when we look in the Old Testament, we find a description in through story of what the Sunday laws will be like as they climax.

And so we're going to look at 3 decrees from Old Testament history and how these decrees relate to the Sunday Law decrees that according to prophecy are coming in the future.

So that's going to be today and tomorrow and then on Wednesday.

That'll be, we'll spend 1 day each on each of those decrees and then after that we will look at politicizing the Sunday Law, looking at some current events regarding the Sunday Law and some pitfalls and dangers.

And so Thursday and Friday we're kind of going to put together more current events.

And so Monday to Wednesday is preparation and biblical foundation.

And then we're going to be looking at those things that are going on today later on.

So today we're looking at what I'm referring to as preparing for the Sunday Law.

Now I believe that this is probably, when we look at this, 1 of the most important things that we can, yeah, that is the problem of that seat, isn't it?

1 of the problems, 1 of the important aspects that we are facing today is what choices are we making today and how is that affecting us?

When I present an evangelistic meeting and I cover the mark of the beast, I will say something like, no 1 has the mark of the beast yet, But the decisions that we're making today could be preparing us to either receive the mark of the beast or the seal of God.

And so while we do not believe anybody has the mark of the Beast currently, that does not mean that the decisions and the choices that we make today doesn't affect.

We can't offer you a seat right now, but you're welcome to come in.

And I will try to behave and not kick anybody.

And so, you know, when you prepare for something, how many of you have ever prepared for a final exam or a big test?

You know, I had a, some of you are in medical, in the medical field, I had a church member once and he was a doctor and he would, he would ask for prayer.

I don't remember how often it was because I'm not a doctor, But he'd say, I've got my big test coming up.

And I think he had to do it every 10 years or something like that.

It's like, pray for me, because this is coming up.

And so when you have a big test like that, there's a lot of preparation.

There's a lot of anxiety that goes into that as well.

Yep, just bring the chairs in, you're welcome.

And if we have a few more, you're going to, if you want a chair, I don't know.

But I want to go to a verse to begin with, Jeremiah 12, verse 5.

Jeremiah 12 and verse 5, and if you have your Bible, let's go ahead and turn there.

Jeremiah chapter 12 and verse 5, if you have run with the footmen and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses?

And if in the land of peace in which you trusted they wearied you, then how will you do in the floodplain of the Jordan?

And they've wearied you, then how are you gonna contend with horses, right?

It's kind of like if you were dead after running a 5K, how are you going to run a marathon, right?

But if you've run with the footmen and you haven't been able to keep up with the footmen that are running, how are you gonna run with horses?

And then it goes on and he says, if the land of peace in which you trusted, how are you going to do when the swelling of the Jordan?

The idea is right now we're running with footmen.

And it's easier than what it will be in the future, right?

And so we need to be making sure that we now are growing in our preparation so that we can stand when this test comes.

So I want to go and look at, this 1 is going to be the most familiar story.

And the most familiar story is that is the beginning of the Sunday Laws is 1 that we're all familiar with.

And that is the story of Daniel chapter 3.

But I want to pull out and we use this in evangelistic meetings.

I don't preach it every time we do an evangelistic meeting, but many times.

But I want to pull out some other things, hopefully, that maybe we haven't thought of as much.

When we look at this time period from the Babylonian captivity into the Persian Empire, we find, as I mentioned, 3 decrees.

And in these 3 decrees, we see the growing in intensity.

And I believe that these decrees are going to show us to a certain extent what it will be like in the last days and how we can be prepared and ready for that time as well.

Because the Babylonian numerical system was based on 6s.

And so why do we have 360 degrees in a circle?

This is the Babylonian time system, or Babylonian method of mathematics, which is all based on sixes.

And so it's not a surprise to see this image that is 60 cubits high and 6 cubits wide.

Whatever that, however that comes up to, I mean, it's about 90 feet, something like that.

So, you know, a nine-story building or something on a plane would be very, very impressive, wouldn't it?

Now when we keep reading, we read in verse 2, or we'll read verse 1.
