So what we are covering is Genesis 3 verse 1 Welcome to all of us who just joined in Genesis 3 verse 1 and 4 to 7 so Nicole read the last part of Genesis 3 1 Yes, and what I had mentioned was for God, he already gave them an existence.

For the devil and the serpent in this case, it was to question the already given existence.

And we've said in the same Bible we're told come let us reason together which means reasoning together God expects us to do what with him reason with him we're not supposed to follow him blindly is there a sin in questioning the already given existence absolutely not there is no problem someone read verse 4 now Let's jump from verse 1 and go to verse 4 and read all the way to 7.

Someone else read Genesis 3 verse 4 to 7.

But the serpent said to the woman, You will not surely die.

Aye, For God knows that when you eat of it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.

So, when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make 1 wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate.

Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked.

And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves flowing clots.

So I've added 4 more points after what we mentioned.

The first 1 was questioning already given existence, which we've established is not a sin.

Then the second thing that the devil does was to go ahead and tell her that if she took the fruit her eyes would be opened was that a lie or was that true it was true correct it was true but would it be opened for the good or for the bad?

Not everything that is said that is true is always the best option, and it's a good thing.

There are some things which are said which are indeed true, but it's not something which you should desire.

Remember our subheading was a counterfeit alternative.

So she goes ahead and samples the new proposal which has been given to her which is taking action on the fruit and she takes the fruit.

And the next thing that she does after taking the fruit was, it's never good enough to fail alone and sin alone, it's always beautiful when you sin with someone else, you sin together.

And now what else do they do after they realize they're naked?

And as a result, that became the new existence.

And that is generally the summary of the fall of man.

Now, when you go through the 5 steps which we've just covered, the first 1 being to question the already given existence in Genesis 3.1, to submit a somewhat new proposal.

It is a similar proposal, but a different side of it.

And the fourth 1 is to sample a new proposal, which is take action.

Doesn't that seem to us similar to someone else's model of life and worship?

It is basically God's methods that have been taken and adopted in a different direction.

God gives you a life and an existence, which he gave Adam and Eve, which was the earth.

Their job was to question it, which is not a problem.

And he gives them the proposal, and they're supposed to reflect on what God has given them, and as a result decides to take action on what God's word was, and finally, once they find out it is the way forward, they evangelize and tell others.

And that is the exact same thing that the devil did with Adam and Eve.

Last Sabbath a friend of mine called Ted Kenyon said something very interesting.

He said deception is never deception unless there's a little bit of truth to it.

Deception cannot be deception unless there's a little bit of truth to it.

If someone came and told us, I'm telling you, lies from the beginning, would you believe him?

But if someone came, like we see on the screen right now, basically, a wolf has to cover itself in what?

Sheep's clothing, for it to be able to be in the middle of sheep.

It's not entirely false, but it's also partially true.

And we'll see why this is the case with media, entertainment, and recreation today.

The wolf has to be covered in sheep's clothing for it to be able to eat the sheep.

Deception is not deception unless the truth is somehow associated with it.
