Stephen, Katie, and children Savannah, August, and Scarlett were called to Chad Africa to serve as medical missionaries.
How did Stephen and Katie go from a busy surgical practice and family life in the US to heed the call to a rural and very resource poor part of Africa? By His Spirit, and as Martin Luther said, “I’m not guided by God, He pushes me forward.”
The Waterbrooks’ story is one of heeding God’s voice even if it leads to discomfort or inconvenience.
