Secrets for Being Unhappy

I'm gonna talk on an unusual subject, and that subject tonight is what I'm gonna call tongue in cheek, secrets for being unhappy.

How many would like to have some secrets for unhappiness and dissatisfaction?

So, you gotta take notes because I think some of you are far too happy.

And so you might want to take some notes.

Secrets for unhappiness that I have seen and proven myself to be true.

So, secrets for unhappiness or dissatisfaction.

How many think this would be a very good secret for dissatisfaction.

If you want to have this to really work, you have to have a key phrase.

What would the key phrase be to be unhappy?

We have some specialists here with us tonight.

Or I wish, I heard another 1 that's that strong, I think the if only is probably number 1.

If you're stuck, of course you can't do anything, stuck in the past.

This is very good if you want to be dissatisfied.

If only other people had been, you fill in the blank.

If only other people had been kinder to me, If only people would have been nicer to me.

Wonderful way to be, now I know the Bible says, forget those things what's behind.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, rip that page out of your Bible.

That alone can keep you unhappy for quite some time, but I wanna give you a couple more tips because I think some of you may not be destined for unhappiness as you could have it quite yet.

So if you can't live in the past, which is depressing, live in the future, which is anxiety producing.

We want you to have depression and anxiety.

Look at that person next to you and say, he wants you to have depression and anxiety.

So, to have the anxiety, you must live in the future.

If this then statements are very good for this, If this will happen, then, then and only then, will I feel fulfilled, will I be happy.

If I can only marry that guy, then I'll be happy.

If I can only go out with that girl, then I'll be happy.

Focus on your happiness, but only as it can be in the future.

Remember, remember this, you're never gonna get to the future, because the future is Always in the future.

No matter what I did, they were like, Yeah, that was okay, but you might want to do this and that.

I got so mad at that teacher, I was just like, you're never satisfied!

I don't think I'm ever going to please you and I took my bow and I broke it.

Whatever you do, do not develop a now as mentality.

Always let something in the past upshut you or something in the future.

I have learned in whatever state I am to be content.

You don't want that there if you want to be happy.

I met a lady the other week in 1 of the programs here who told me that she lived in New Jersey and this made her very, very unhappy.

I said, yeah, it means New Jersey, it means New York, it means whatever state you're in.

I didn't know the Bible talked about this.

Or live in the past or live in the future.
