Fed Up

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your love and for your care.

Help each 1 of us to come away feeling prepared for this series and help us to help it to help this process of the Christian life.

Help us to make it to heaven and to bring as many people as we can with us.

Thank you for all of your love and care and just guide us is my prayer in Jesus name.

My dad a couple of years ago, actually probably about 15 years ago, was on his way to work 1 morning and he had a construction business.

He still does construction but not with the type of crew he used to have.

He used to have like 12 employees and he had them all in trucks and they're heading down the road and they noticed a man by the side of the road.

And he was a homeless gentleman who had a sign that said, will work for food.

And so my dad said, well, I guess I'll take him up on it.

So he stops and he says, young man, today's your lucky day, jump in.

And the guy just looked at him, and my dad's like, hop in.

And kind of, my dad's a very outgoing person, and the guy just looks at him as if he's crazy.

He says, your sign says, we'll work for food.

And the guy just says, well, no, no, no thanks.

And my whole point with this little story is he wasn't fed up.

This man wasn't fed up with how things were in order to move into something that would help him.

He could have worked with my dad, my dad would have hired him, and he'd have had a great boss and a bunch of fellow workers that were great people, but he wasn't fed up.

So we're gonna be talking about being fed up, we're actually gonna be talking about how it's important to be fed up.

As an end time Christian, we need to be fed up with some things.

When you're going on a trip, on a vacation, 1 of the important things is to be fed up Tired of where you're at so that you will be looking forward to your vacation Would anyone really want to go on a trip if if they absolutely love their schedule all is if life is totally perfect would you want to go on a vacation?

There's things that we really need out of our lives right now.

And Can anyone relate with feeling fed up?

There's just something in your life, there's things, there's just stuff that you just, ah, you feel fed up with it and you want victory, you want change with some areas in your life.

Okay, so we're going to look in the Bible at some places.

We're gonna look in the Bible at some places where we can learn about Fed Up.

I'm trying to save time for breakfast this morning.

The spirit of God is withdrawing from the earth and calamity follows calamity by sea and by land.

There are tempests, earthquakes, fires, floods, murders of every grade.

There is assurance in nothing that is human or earthly.

Probation's hour is fast closing, and every case is about to be eternally decided.

He has set all his agencies at work that men may be deceived, diluted, occupied and entranced until the day of probation shall be ended and the door of mercy be forever shut.

We need to be fed up with being deceived and being diluted and being occupied and entranced.

It's time that we, that the whole, my sermons, the first one's fed up, the next is freed up.

We need to be filled, and then we need forever up.

All right, I remember to look at my screen here.

And so each day I want to build on it a little bit.

For today, we're going to talk about hungering and thirsting, which is similar to being fed up.

If you think about it, if you're hungry, you're fed up with being hungry, right?

The text says, blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

If you're not tired of being hungry, you won't seek what will fill you.

And it's Jesus who will fill us and we'll build on that each day.

So hunger and thirst, it's like a motivation, desire, dissatisfied with the present, tired of inefficiency.

It makes you hope for a change in circumstances.

When he walked into a room, I just wonder, just my imagination, I wonder if he ever kind of went by the wall and he thought, wouldn't it be cool if you could just hit something And the room would light up and you could see, maybe he was tired of an oil lamp.

And he's trimming the wick and he's thinking, there's gotta be a better way for electricity.

Because he was fed up, he was motivated to try to invent light.

I mean, we're so thankful for Thomas Edison.

But imagine when they had to do things and they had no pain medication.

Would you as a doctor be fed up if you have patient after patient who absolutely hates you and is in terrible pain?

I mean, I'm a dental assistant and I'm familiar with patients who look up at you like, why is this hurting?

And am I standing too close to this microphone or am I fine?

Okay, so the microphone is better, alright.

So yes, doctors, Edson, these people were motivated by wanting a change.

What's kind of the first things that you see with Gideon?

He's discouraged, he wants to gather harvest.
