Description
The Lord culminates the defeat of all Egyptian gods with judgment upon the firstborn. Only those protected by the Lamb’s blood – pointing to the sacrificial death of the Lamb, Jesus Christ – will not be destroyed during this terrifying plague. Condemnation passes over them, but the blessings of life stay with His people (Exod 12:13). Passover is the foretaste of the Lord’s Supper, commemoration of what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross.
