3 Beasts 1 Remnant

Let's get right into our message for today.

It says, But what saith the answer of God unto him?

I have reserved to myself 7000 men who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

Even so then at this present time also, there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

Our message this Sabbath is entitled, 3 Beasts, 1 Remnant.

Father God, we thank you for this opportunity to study your word.

And Lord, more than ever, I need you to just nail me into a wall, hammer me into a wall, Lord, and hang a picture, a portrait of Christ on that nail.

And so now, Lord, I pray that you bind the enemy, cast him far away from here.

And Lord, now allow Your Holy Spirit to do His work in each of our hearts and minds.

Lead us into truth and convict us that we might live for you.

This is our prayer in Jesus' precious and holy name.

All right, so to start off, I've been recently, I just did a week of prayer at 1 of the academies in northern New Jersey, And I was trying to emphasize to the students the importance of prophecy and why we as a denomination put so much seeming emphasis on prophecy.

In fact, many of our detractors online really highlight this.

If you go to 2 Peter chapter 1, I'm just gonna read through these verses.

Verse 16 says, For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

Peter here begins to describe and relay from the Gospels.

He starts to tell the story of what happened on the Mount of Transfiguration.

Here, Peter actually saw Christ's divinity flash through his humanity.

So he's saying, listen, we didn't come up with cunningly devised fables.

Peter says, I saw this with my own 2 eyes.

Verse 17, for he received from God the Father honor and glory when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased Peter says I heard God's voice call him his son verse 18 This voice which came from heaven we heard when we were with him in the holy mount.

Then he says something that seems to not make sense.

Peter then says we have also a more sure word of prophecy.

You just told us you saw Jesus transfigured.

You just told us you heard the voice of the Father and yet Peter gives this admonition that in fact we have something even more sure than Peter's 5 senses.

Then he says, Whereunto you do well to take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, unto the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.

Peter understood Everybody was not going to be able to experience what happened on the Mount of Transfiguration.

So Peter makes it plain, listen, if you listen to prophecy, you're actually better off in a way than if you had been on the mountain with us.

Verse 20, then he says, knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man, but holy men of God speak as they were what?

Moved by the Holy Ghost So he said listen this thing is powerful it it's it's it's it's not up for just anybody's interpretation He says listen this prophecy came from an old time, not by the will of men, it was the Holy Ghost.

Another reason why you can't throw the Holy Spirit out.

You throw the Holy Spirit out, you throw out what it is that actually tells us that this is inspired.

So what do these ancient men say who were inspired by the Holy Spirit?

This isn't so much a sermon this morning, it's what I call a sermonar.

So we're gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna, I need to copyright that if no 1 has already done it.

I need to Google and see, sermonar, here we go.

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people, and there shall be a time of trouble such as never once since there was a nation, even to that same time.

And at that time thy people shall be delivered, every 1 that shall be found written in the book.

I mean the first verse of Daniel 12 is so pregnant with meaning.

I wish I had time to go through that today.

Again, our detractors don't believe it, but it's biblically sound.

This is speaking of the time when Christ moves from the most holy place, stands up, takes off his priestly robes to put on his kingly robes in order to return to earth.

He stands up and when he does there is going to be a terrible time of trouble.

Because probation will close and there will be no 1 in the most holy place in heaven mediating on behalf of mankind.

Which means the 4 winds in Revelation 7, 1 through 3, that are being held back by the 4 angels, the winds that are being held back by the 4 angels, now are set loose.

Can you imagine, look at how terrible the world is now.

Can you imagine when there is no mediator for us?

But ah, the Bible doesn't leave you in anxiety.

It says, at that time thy people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written where?

For your name to be written in the Lamb's book of life, God's name must be written in your forehead.

You have to have His character for your name to be written there.

Verse 2, And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, He started talking about the second coming, and some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.

Here you begin to get a description of what the remnant will be like at the last days.

They will be wise, they'll shine as the brightness of the firmament.

Verse 4, but thou, O Daniel, shut up the book, the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end.

Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall what?

It is 1, technological, industrial, mankind advancing.

And secondly, it is an increase in understanding the scripture.

Transportation, many shall run to and fro, but the book is sealed until the end of time.

So here's a little summary of that prophecy, prophecy being so important as Peter told us.

He stands up and he is about to come back to earth to redeem us.

In fact, let me say this about the second coming for those who question its visibility and the ubiquitous nature in which Christ will come.

It is the greatest rescue mission the world or the universe will ever have seen.

Number 2, there's going to be a great time of trouble.

We talked a little bit about why that can happen last night.

At the second coming we will be delivered keep going to Daniel chapter 12 verse 5 it says this then I Daniel looked and behold there stood other to the 1 on this side of the bank of the river and the other on the other side of the bank of the river verse 6 and 1 said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, how long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

So the 2 men are standing on each other's rivers and say, how long is it going to be until this happens?

Verse 7, and I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swear by him that lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times and a half.
