The Truth About Being the Best, Following Jesus’ Example

Let's pray and asking for the Holy Spirit to guide the message so that we can listen and apply it to our life.

Our Heavenly Father, thank you for the opportunity that we can worship you and the privilege that we can have a place that we can gather and give you praise.

We thank you that you choose to be our father.

We thank you that you help us to be the best for you.

We ask you to help us to understand the message today and apply it for our life.

I ask the Holy Spirit to open all the hearts and ears today who listen to it Through the broadcast or to the church life and we ask you to help us To know what is the best in your eyes in Jesus name I ask Amen Today we are speaking about being the best.

But today we are gonna listen to what is the best means.

Being the best photographer, the best preacher, the best singer, I really enjoyed singing today, all of you were the best, so thank you.

What is the best that we are looking for?

Today we are listening to God and hear from him how he sees the word best.

So how does this message influence our self-image, ambition, and even our spiritual life?

A high-volatility stance, excellence, visibility, and victory, and prize.

So I'm just going from the end to the beginning.

Do anyone have any idea what is the prize to be the best?

What is the, what is make me the best basketball player?

Okay, good genes, so I can be tall, so I can reach the ball.

Disciple of Jesus to be a basketball player?

So what is make me the best of anything to follow the instruction?

I have called her my American mother, Joyce.

So she keeps saying, if I know something, I have to read the instruction.

Even when we have any recipe, she said, read the instruction, how to use this.

And I love this method Because every time we thought that we know God so much, so we forgot to read the Bible.

I'm not believing in a science who said, no, we don't have God.

I don't want him to tell me the instruction to follow him.

So the best that he want is something different.

So we will go back to the word that describing the best.

Here, how much this message tend to shape self-image and impression and spiritual life.

I'm not here to tell you what to do to be the best player, what to do to be the best player, what to do to be the best speaker, what to do to be a best person, or taking the attention of everybody around you.

I'm not even wanted myself to know what is that.

Because God knows what is the best for you and for me.

So he knows what is the best version of you that he wanted to see in you.

I know all of us growing in spiritual journey And sometimes we are having ups and downs, right?

Do anybody here have no downs in his life, especially spiritually?

That's true because spiritual journey is not something smooth.

It's never been hard until you can't handle it because you are not handle it.

I remember the story and I believe some of you know it.

A guy loved God so much and he keeps saying God every time in a struggle time I didn't see you I see myself walking only my steps is behind I'm alone you're you weren't there.

Have you seen this image before or this illustration before?

But I will tell you, since God is always carrying you, and you didn't know that until the moment when you feel like, I need to talk to him.

I'm struggling to find out the best sermon to give to my church.

I'm struggling to do the best performance for my song.

I'm struggling to do things because it's not easy God didn't promise us the life will be easy But he know he know that today all of us came here because we do have a hard life You know if we have a really easy life, I will feel, I will find this church empty.

So why do you want to come and worship him or praise him?

So today the message is how to be the best in God's eyes, not in our eyes.

Because self-image, like positive pole or potential missteps, it's helping us to see ourself more than anyone else.

You know, sometimes when we put the mirror, have you tried this before?

To see yourself too much closer and you can't see anything.

I should be closer, like I'm using the glasses to see things closer or bigger.
