Don’t Waste Your Life

I have prayed and prayed so much for this church.

And there's 1 reason for this, is because I was in India for 2 months, in May and June, running the school in India, and Pastor Paul John's younger brother, Daniel, he came out for 5 days.

It was a huge sacrifice for him, but he came out to be with us.

And I was so grateful that when I got this invitation from Pastor Paul, I felt like this was 1 way I could pass the blessing forward.

So for that reason, I have prayed a lot for this church and I'm very happy to be here.

Because I had an hour-long message prepared, but then today I was told I have about 30 minutes.

The Holy Spirit in a moment of time can accomplish so much.

Before getting into our message, let's spend a few minutes in prayer.

We want the Holy Spirit to be poured out.

We don't want anything in our heart that's gonna hinder the working of the Holy Spirit.

If there's any sin, any pride, any unforgiveness, ask God.

If God shows it to you, just confess it to God.

Number 2, we want to plead for the Holy Spirit, plead for revival.

We want, we don't, we want to go into this weekend and we want to come out of it a little different.

And Number 3, let's pray that God will prepare our hearts, that the message would go in, and that we would leave this place tonight as doers of God's word.

Not just as hearers, but as doers of God's word, amen?

So number 1, ask God, what do I need to confess?

Number 2, plead for revival and the Holy Spirit.

And number 3, that God will prepare our hearts.

So the word of God will come in, will do something in our hearts, and we will leave this place different.

I invite you right now to close your eyes and we're going to pray quietly for a few minutes.

Loving, kind Father in heaven, we thank you Lord for hearing our prayers of confession and for drawing near to us Lord with mercy and with forgiveness.

Thank you Lord for hearing the cry of our hearts, the cry for the Holy Spirit, cry for revival.

Father, we want a revival of true godliness.

Father, please, Lord, remove all the distractions from within, from without.

Give us eyes to see, give us ears to hear what your spirit has to say.

And I pray, O God, that we would be a people that love your word, a people, Lord, that'll not just be hearers but doers of your word as we leave this place tonight.

My message is titled, Don't Waste Your Life.

Am I the only 1, or are there others here who feel like at some time in your life you have wasted your life?

I believed in God, but so does the devil.

I grew up believing that 1 day if I made lots of money, then I'll be happy.

Of course I went to church, and the reason I went to church is because in the end, I didn't want to end up in the hot place.

The first half of my life revolved around 1 thing.

If you can only remember 1 thing from this message tonight Don't waste your life Now I'm gonna share tonight things that I wish I would have heard when I was young things that I wish I would have understood.

Maybe it was taught me, but I just wasn't spiritually sensitive enough to understand it.

I'm going to share with you things that I wish I would have understood and would have practiced in my life.

Okay, so now with that, the subtitle of my message is Be a World Changer.

Has anyone here ever entertained the thought, I want to go out and I want to change the world.

I think Korean Adventists should entertain this thought for 2 reasons.

Number 1, because we are Seventh-day Adventists and we have a message that we need to take to the world.

Reason number 2 is because We Koreans are ambitious.

Ambitious for education, for success, and for really good careers.

But let me ask you, are we just as ambitious for God and for the building up of His kingdom and for the advancement of His work?

Friends, this weekend, I want to, or tonight, I want to appeal to your ambitious nature.

I want to challenge and inspire you to be ambitious for God, for the building up of his kingdom, and becoming worshipers of God.

Friends, is it important to be worshipers of God?

Especially in these last days, it's very important because in the book of Revelation, The dividing issue at the end of time is worship.

Now, worship is a contraction of 2 words, worth and ship.

Whatever is worth the most to you is what you worship.

If education is worth the most to you, that's what you worship.

If good grades are worth the most to you, that's what you worship.

And if God is worth the most to you, that's what you worship.
