How to Know God

Father, throughout this message, let your spirit whisper to me the glory of God.

Thank you, dear God, for the high honor of speaking for you.

And thank you for the associated delight of speaking to those who love your word.

But a special perfumed blessing on all our guests.

If you have my version you may read with me.

Job 11 verse 7, Canst thou by searching find out God?

Canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?

In other words, it is not research that reveals God.

Research may reveal results in a university.

Canst thou find out the almighty unto perfection?

The measure thereof is longer than the earth and broader than the sea.

The writer of the book of Job, we accept him, Moses, is trying to describe the inscrutability of God, the mysteriousness of God, the profundity of God.

It is longer than the earth and broader than the sea.

He is trying to express how difficult it is to know God.

Isaiah chapter 4 0 reading verse twenty-five.

To whom then will you liken me or shall I be equal?

In the universe to whom which to with whom I can be compared to whom then will you liken me or shall I be equal saith the Holy 1.

In other words God is saying I have no equal.

Chapter Let's go Matthew eleventh verse twenty-seven.

Let's intensify this nature of God of being unknowable unless through certain means.

Neither are your ways my ways said the lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth.

So are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

God tells us as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

We must never forget, God does not think the way we think.

God said, and call upon me in the day of trouble, I'll deliver thee, and thou shall glorify me.

Verse 16 now, but unto the wicked God saith what?

What has thou to do to declare my statutes and that thou should stake my covenant in thy mouth?

Seeing thou hate this instruction and castest my words behind thee.

In verse 16 of verse 17 they don't like instruction.

18, when thou sawest a thief, then thou consented with him and has been partaker with adulterers.

Verse 19, thou givest thy mouth the evil and thy tongue frameth the same.
